This book is awful. I mean the entire series was just meh. I have no idea how or why I made it to the 6th book in this series. The writing is terrible. The characters are cringe. The spice is even cringier. The pet names make me gag. There is definitely not enough plot for 6 books. The “twist” in this one was beyond stupid. I never particularly liked Sy before, but I just wanted to throat punch her in this book.
If you thought Callie Hart used the terms “mate” and “my mate” a lot. I promise you, this book has her beat tenfold. If I never heard the word mate again, it’ll be too soon and I typically love fated mates. Right now though, it’s like nails on a chalkboard.
Gawd, it is just so bad. There’s no point in trying to explain in more detail. It’s just bad.

4.5 stars for the Final book 6
Barbie has bigger battles to fight in this final book. She's not alone in this; she fights with her fated mate, Killian and all of the heirs. She finds the way to give Sy her own self and Sy and her fate mate Rowan fight with Barbie to rid the realm/world of the God of Ruin. Not only does Barbie need to fight but each heir will fight their own battle for what they need as well. Queen Lilith will sacrifice herself for the greater good too while revealing the whole truth and the way to rid everyone from Ruin.
Well played on the plot twists and character's involvements in this book. I loved how they all came together and powered up yet still remained their surly selves. The protectiveness over each other increased more in this final story. I liked how each character was finished out, but wished for more on Barbie and Sy. I didn't feel like they were completely finished with their story. An epilogue or a couple more chapters would have done it.
The whole series was fun to read. It didn't give me too much anxiety, but enough to be exciting and had me hooked to binge it. I enjoyed the humor which lessened in books 5 and 6, sadly, but was understood. The world and character build was good and consistent. I do recommend this series 100% for the humor, spice and excitement.

So so good
This last book of the series did not disappoint! I love that we got a conclusion. I hate that not all the guys were mated to Barbie and Sy though. I thought that’s where we were going with that. But hey! I’m greedy. I love how we bought in characters from Half Blood, that was a real treat. I could go for a side story with their time over in the other realm.
As usual, Meg Xuemei X did not disappoint. I always go back and buy the audiobooks when they come out cause I do like to and I tend to go over some books repeatedly.

Fun, Exciting and action packed
This series was fun and I loved Barbie and Sy, both strong characters with sass. The storyline was exciting, entertaining and sexy. It wasn’t until this last book in the series when the twist was explained that was so exciting to the story. I liked it tied into another series from Meg. I’ve read quite a number of Meg Xuemei X stories and they never disappoint to entertain. Meg is a wonderful writer and I look to more stories from her! Thank you Meg you are awesome!

Shades of Ruin and Magic book 6. A beautiful ending to an amazing series. Brilliantly written with levels of WTF. This book should be a movie. All the characters and some new ones step up their game in order to stop Barbie's evil dad. Filled from beginning to the end, with high drama, extra angsty, action packed and sexy. Loved every minute of this series.

This book had me flicking my tail, scratching my tree, and hissing over the pages! My favorite part? It picks up exactly where book five left off—and in true Meg Xuemei fashion, it doesn’t let up for a single heartbeat.

Great Series

This book was the cherry topping! I'm in love with ta lot of moments but the one that made me cry and give chills along with the goose bumps was when the fae house was sing their song with heartfelt joy! That was beautiful. The ending was great and ruin! I need a small story of his new friend. Iykyk. Cheers!

Absolutely LOVED this series
Def one of the best series I've read. Barbie AND Sy are one of the best FMC! Loved all the chaos and funny banter in the books. Highly recommend. Great ending to the series. Hopefully there is a spin-off for the other characters that didn't get their HE...

Great
Love the banter and the Silly jokes. It's a blast hearing Sy and Barbie go at it all the time especially making fun of the heirs. I'm glad everything resolved itself. Lots of turns around that left you gasping and in shock. Can't believe we see the other characters from the other series. That really caught me by surprise. Overall was fantastic reading the ending.

Funny and action packed.
I have greatly enjoyed this series. I have enjoyed all the characters but especially Barbie, her casual and almost naive demeanor make the story quite interesting. Killian is a bonus, who wouldn't love a guy like him.

I loved this series ❤️ the relationship with sy and barbie was awesome i was sad when they parted but happy that they parted.i loved killian for barbie also.All in all it was a terrific read that kept me interested

Finally, a wonderful HEA
It has been a long journey, with a lot of pain and two annoying peas in a pod. Finally, the end battle comes closer, the houses form a tighter alliance, and Barbie and Sy find what they needed in perfect mates.
