The Brodys of Whiskey Run #2

The Ex I Can't Forget

Rate this book
He’s my boss.
My second chance.
And the man who’ll never forgive me.

Two years ago, I ruined everything.
One mistake, and Logan Brody walked away without looking back.

Now I work for him.
Same piercing stare. Same clenched jaw.
Same hands I still dream about.

He keeps his distance. Keeps his walls high.
And makes it painfully clear—I’m the last person he wants near him.
But his silence says more than words ever could.

His gaze is a warning. His touch is a dare.
When he finally kisses me, it feels like a promise—and a threat.

I came back to make things right.
But the past I ran from isn’t finished with me yet.
And this time, losing him might not be the only thing that breaks me.

More like two stars but I like the author… and keep reading her books

He is too cruel and cold towards her for almost all the book
He thought she cheated on her two years ago and I understand the feeling but when it’s the opposite situation authors don’t write so easily cruel heroines like in this one… I’m sorry but I needed to say it

He never apologized
The sex scenes were very anticlimactic because of the hero and how he treated her
She didn’t deserved all of that for one kiss… there’s a plot twist and one explanation about it at the end

Both are celibate for the two years break up
He flirts with one woman in front of her , he gets a date with her but never went
He never regrets all this

3 stars but really more of a 2-2.5. The MMC was a jerk. The FMC is a doormat who whimpers at the prospect of sex even after he tells her he hates her. At one point the MMC has two dates for an event, one the FMC, and he pawns off the other lady to one of his brothers. A brother that did NOT what to do it because he was interested in someone else and didn’t what to do anything that could ruin the potential relationship. Of course it did cause problems and the MMC didn’t even say he was sorry or that he would happily explain to the woman his brother was interested in what happened.

Sadly I think this author is off my automatic buy list buy list

This one was angsty, and I don’t like angsty or second chances, but this one was so well done I couldn’t put it down. I’ve been looking forward to the stand off between Logan and Bree ever since Zach hired her to stir the pot. Because let’s be honest, that’s exactly what he did. I loved the fact there was no one for either one of them in the 2 years they were separated. They both had broken hearts but still loved each other so much. Bree was an incredibly strong woman for what she went through, but I loved being in Logan’s head and seeing the pain he was going through. Wasn’t a big fan of him purposefully flirting with other woman in front of her, but I also understand that need to hurt like she hurt him. But not everything is as it seems, and I was not expecting the reasoning behind the separation, and it was good! No cheating but there was OM and OW drama, second chances, trigger warnings like kidnapping, violence, etc, dual POV, HEA and 2 perfect epilogues in the future. Still looking forward to Penn and Aria’s story, I can already feel their emotions. And can’t wait for Miller’s story too!

Brodys of Whiskey Run Series :
✅ 1 The Hero I Can't Resist (November 14, 2025) - 4.5 🍪
𝐙𝐀𝐂𝐇 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐊𝐘𝐋𝐄𝐑 - Great introduction to the series, I like it 🤩👍
It's just a pity that there is no information anywhere about what other series it is connected to
This volume, for example, is from Whiskey Men: Wounded Heroes, from which the main characters are mentioned by name. It took me a while to track it down, but now at least I know what I'm going to read next
✅ 2 The Ex I Can't Forget (December 19, 2025) - 4.4 ⭐
𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐀𝐍 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐄 - This ending was a bit too rushed for me. I wanted to connect with the characters more, but they kept slipping away. I'm waiting for the next installment, maybe it'll be Miller. Although I'd also like to finally find out what's going on with Penn and Aria; they're worrying me.

❌ 3. The Billionaire I Can't Deny - Expected publication March 31, 2026

❌ 4. The Husband I Can't Let Go - Expected publication June 30, 2026

I love everything that comes out of Whiskey Run!

I want to live in Whiskey Run, seriously. If you've read the various series of Whiskey Run and Whiskey Men books from Author Hope Ford, you'll understand why it's a good idea to live there. With the Brody's of Whiskey Run, we've already read Zach Campbell and Skyler Brody, and in THE EX I CAN'T FORGET, Logan Brody is typical of the men there being overprotective serious alpha deliciousness. The only thing hotter is the action that their lucky woman get into with them 🔥🔥🔥! If you haven't met these hot fellas then what are you waiting for? You are missing out – the FOMO is real!

THE EX I CAN'T FORGET combined my favourite second-chances trope with one that is quickly becoming another fave - enemies-to-lovers. Ms Ford set Logan and Bree's book up in THE HERO I CAN'T RESIST and it was everything that I had anticipated.

A man betrayed by a kiss. A brave woman who put her own life in danger and never let him know about it. Now he won't even give her the opportunity to tell her story.

Bree was an amazingly strong woman and over the course of the book we found out what she'd gotten herself into. I love that Zach had listened and facilitated her airtight contract of employment in the business he and Logan had founded. Their close proximity was guaranteed 🤣. Logan was not a happy man and Ms Ford wrote the animosity that Logan directed towards Bree as something so strong even I could feel it emanating from the virtual pages of my tablet!!! How Bree could face that down day after day, I had no idea, and combine that with the sensual heat between them, it made this one helluva compelling read that I could not put down.

Logan had been so in love with Bree two years ago, that seeing her kiss another man ripped his heart out of his chest. Love turned to a burning anger that he'd nursed and it showed no signs of abating. Wow, those emotions were strong, and this is where Ms Hope's writing talent showed. I could ‘feel' Logan's hurt and betrayal for myself and I found that I could understand why he didn't want to hear what he thought would be excuses. Ironically, I also enjoyed his surprise when Zach and his sister took him to task over his reticence.

In this I found Bree to be more than patient, more so than I would have been when in a moment of confusion Logan caused her hurt and embarrassment, and she easily listened to him. But I'm guessing smitten is as smitten does, and Bree was still as much in love with Logan as ever she had been.

Ms Ford didn't let the course of true love run smoothly for them and I while I was glad to see that Logan had his ‘come to Jesus’ moment, my heart was in my mouth the entire time. The doo-doo did indeed hit the fan.

THE EX I CAN'T FORGET was a fantastic read as any book written by Author Hope Ford is wont to be. Highly recommended reading, and while I'm about it, I'm reminding readers who love the aforementioned alpha heroes’ types, wrap your reading gears around the previous series of books. Reading time well spent!! 5-Hot-Ex-Second-Chance-Stars 🔥✰•

They lost each other to misunderstandings and fear. Now love gets a second chance.

When Logan walks back into his office, the last person he expects to see behind the desk is Bree, the woman who shattered him. It’s been years since that night he thought she betrayed him, and seeing her again stirs up more pain than he’s ready to admit. He tells himself he hates her, but what he feels is far more complicated.

Bree didn’t return looking for forgiveness. She’s here to finish what she started, prove her worth, and maybe explain the truth Logan never let her tell. But the past she left behind is dangerous, and no matter how hard she tries to stay focused, the threats are catching up fast.

Logan thought losing Bree once was the worst thing that could happen. Now she’s in real danger, and everything he thought he knew is unraveling. The truth changes everything, and Logan will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he never stopped loving. ‍

Back in Whiskey Run, nothing feels the same. Pain turns into honesty. Fear into trust. Love becomes a choice they keep making, even when it hurts. What started broken is rebuilt through grit, forgiveness, and the kind of connection that doesn’t quit.

Bree and Logan start out carrying deep emotional scars. She’s spent years keeping her past locked down. He’s been holding on to a version of the truth that never existed. As secrets surface and feelings resurface even faster, they’re forced to face what tore them apart and what still ties them together.

A steamy, second chance, small town, workplace romance with forced proximity, a protective hero, hidden danger, and emotional intensity. Exploring love, trauma, redemption, trust, identity, survival, and what it really means to forgive. It’s about rebuilding something real from the wreckage and choosing each other every damn time. ‍

The Elevator Pitch: A protective hero and the woman he never stopped loving collide in a storm of secrets, heartbreak, and undeniable chemistry. Years after everything fell apart, they're forced back into each other’s orbit with danger closing in and the truth finally ready to surface. It's a steamy, emotional ride where trust is rebuilt, love hits hard, and second chances come with everything on the line.

A crazy good read about two characters I really enjoyed - Logan and Bree. They can be intense at time, highs/lows, swings between passionate love and strong dislike/hate. They are feisty, spirited, sweet and sexy. Bree started working for Logan’s company three months ago. Logan is not happy about it. He just started coming back into the office. His partner hired her and she has a one year contract. She will be here for at least one year. Bree has to explain to Logan about what she has been doing and what he saw in New York City, but he refuses to listen to her. Logan can’t forgive her for kissing another man. It’s a big mixup and she wants to tell Logan what happened. She still can’t sleep at night because of what happened. She hopes she will have the opportunity to tell Logan! Bree is willing to stand up and be counted! She is independent, courageous and she has only loved this man - Logan. These character’s - Logan and Bree, they were in love - passionately, romantically and lovingly to each other. Now Logan hates her. Logan refuses to listen. He can’t forgive her. She came back to help make his dream come true. She is filled with goodness, warmth, tenderness, love and family. But he is to angry to listen to reason. This author is so good at bringing the reader into the story! It’s amazing how she can convey all the emotions the characters are going thru and brings them to life and everything they are feeling and going through at that time. There are some major roadblocks along the way. Is it hate? Is it love? Or does it fall somewhere in between? You will enjoy their journey. Great characters!.

I'm loving being back in Whiskey Run, and I'm enjoying this new series The Brodys of Whiskey Run.

If you like instalove with a gripping storyline you'll love Hope Ford. Everytime she delivers the perfect mix of drama, spice and all things nice.

The Ex I Can't Forget is the second installment of the series and we get Logan and Bree's second chance, enemies to lovers romance.

It was love at first sight when Bree and Logan met 2 years prior, what Logan didn't expect in his loved up state was to see his girl kissing another man. Only was she cheating or is there more to the story? I really enjoyed the explanation behind that, and it wasn't what I was expecting at all.

Logan is a protective, alpha mmc whose a tough nut to crack and all in his feelings about not wanting to be near Bree after she cheated. But underneath his tough exterior is a pure heart where he'd do anything for the people he loves.
Bree is Sunshine, smart and just wanting to make amends with Logan. But it proving even more difficult than she thought it would be as he's blocking her at every turn.
Together they are sweet, loving and protective of one another.

What to expect from The Ex I Can't Forget
💚 Interconnected Standalone
💚 Instalove
💚 Interlinking Characters
💚 Second Chance
💚 Misunderstanding Drama
💚 Workplace Romance
💚 Steamy Scenes
💚 Angst
 Close Proximity

Another brilliant 5 star read from Hope, I can't wait to see what the rest of the series delivers.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Ex I Can’t Forget delivers everything I love in a Hope Ford novella—emotion, steam, small-town intensity, and a possessive hero who can’t stay away no matter how hard he tries.

Bree and Logan’s story is the perfect storm of heartbreak and longing. From the very first page, you can feel the tension humming between them. Bree’s guilt is raw and real, and Logan’s bitterness barely hides the devastation she left behind. Watching them circle each other—hurt, wanting, fighting the pull—made every moment impossible to put down.

Logan is peak Hope Ford: protective, broody, silently obsessed even while pretending he doesn’t care. And Bree? A curvy, vulnerable heroine trying to make amends and rebuild her life. Their chemistry is explosive, their history messy, and when Logan’s walls finally crack… it’s everything.

The added danger from Bree’s past brings just the right amount of suspense, especially with Logan stepping into full bodyguard mode (yes, please). The small-town warmth of Whiskey Run, the boss/employee tension, the enemies-to-lovers bite—it all blends into a fast, addictive, deeply satisfying second-chance romance.

If you love protective men, angsty reconciliations, and spicy novellas with heart, The Ex I Can’t Forget hits every single note. An emotional, steamy, perfectly bingeable read. ❤️🔥.

Logan hasn’t been back to the office since his biz partner, Zach, hired his ex as the receptionist/all around wrangler at Stronghold Security in Whiskey Run. Logan isn’t really over her. Bree. Learning about when they first met and how he just “knew” that she was his One, was nice. Then what happened next broke his heart. The thing is it was a misunderstanding of really freaky importance. Sky, is Logan’s sister, and Zach and she are together. Now, that Logan is home, Zach is hoping to spend more time with Sky. I like the guys that work for Zach & Logan, in the installing part of the security, and the fact that Bree knows how to do it too, is impressive. Bree is awesome at her job. Logan’s brothers are all different and all of them are protective of Sky. Logan refuses to listen to Bree’s reasons for what had happened between them, until it is too late. Almost. Things get totally crazy, plus the other brothers are thrown in. I love how the brothers all razz each other. It’s cute. Logan does a few things that are shocking and sweet for Bree once he figures a few things out and he can’t help that he is still protective of her. I love the ending. I can’t wait to see what happens for the other brothers.

The book is fun, funny, sweet, romantic, crazy, aggravating, scary, steamy and a bunch of other things.

🍎🍏 Bree & Logan

ARC Review

The Ex I Can't Forget by Hope Ford takes place in her multi-layered world of Whiskey Run. It is Book 2 of the Brodys of Whiskey Run. Previous couples, friends etc from other books are in Logan & Bree's story. It's another overall story addition to Whiskey Run, while still being a standalone. (Hope does provide a mini backstory about The Hero I Can't Resist; if you didn't read it.) There are smokin' hot ṣėxƴ times... it just loses the impact for me with how ɗümɓ Logan thinks & acts. 😒 This is a second chance romance - ONLY due to the fact Bree is in peril.

I am notating this as 4 Stars - as I really enjoy the Whiskey Run World that Hope Ford created and that she is constantly adding new stories. In my opinion, the couple is 3.5 Stars. Bree tried to explain 6 times to Logan about the kiss she gave another man. He cuts her off every time...! It is not until 67% - WE find out about why Bree did it, Logan still doesn't know. Super annoyed about that! Logan finds out from his teammates. And he has the arrogance to state at 70% in... "F**ƙ, I should have made her tell me what happened to her and why she was having nightmares." Ummm, no Logan - you cut her off 6 times & told her you didn't want to know about. 😑

This does end with a HEA & 2 future epilogues.

His business partner hired his ex, what a punch in the gut. Logan's not over her but he can't avoid work forever. From the first moment he saw her, he was smitten and that fire, Just. Won't. Die. She cheated on him and he'll never forgive her and he can't seem to forget her either.
Bree wished he'd believed her back then, she'd made mistakes but she did what had to be done. Did she still love him? Of course she did and she was determined to make him see the truth, for him to know what happened, why she has so many nightmares that she can't sleep.
They torture each other with pent up feelings but neither one can even think about anyone else. He claims that he only wants her to relax and that's why he goes to her place at night. It's to just help her feel safe. When they start "enjoying" each other, he swears that it's just until she leaves, no emotions involved. Yet it's getting harder and harder to convince himself of that fact.
When her nightmares become reality, all hell breaks loose.
I have to tell the truth, there were times that I just wanted to slap Logan, I mean I understood but, come on. He kept changing the rules of engagement.
But the ups and downs, ins and outs, (no pun intended ;) ) were worth the HEA!

**Second Chance**

*The Ex I Can’t Forget* is the second book in *The Brodys of Whiskey Run* series. It features Logan and Bree in a second chance, enemies-to-lovers romance that is both moving and deeply emotional. Their story includes intense angst and leads to some very spicy moments.

It has been two years since Bree and Logan broke up due to Bree cheating on Logan. Now, she is back in Whiskey Run for the next year, working under a locked-down contract as Zack’s & Logan’s assistant. Logan wants nothing to do with Bree and tries his best to avoid her, while all Bree wants is to explain and tell him the truth about what really happened two years ago. However, before Bree can share her side of the story, her past comes looking for her, putting her in danger. Logan will do whatever it takes to get her back and keep her safe.

Logan and Bree’s love story captivated me and truly drew me in from the first page to the last, making it so easy to read in one sitting, and I didn’t want it to end. I’m loving this new series and can’t wait to see what happens next!

The Ex I Can't Forget is book 2 in the Brodys of Whiskey Run Series by Hope Ford

Bree has been trying to rebuild her life, the life she destroyed.  She has returned to the town she loves and has taken a job at the company owned in part by her ex,Logan Brody. While Logan has been away,  she has secured her role at the office and the other partner understands her past and is on her side. But when Logan returns his anger and hatred are evident as well as his desire for her to work elsewhere.  However,  things are not as they seem, and as they spend time together feelings and truths resurface and that may prove to be their biggest challenge of a.

I am a huge fan of Hope Ford's books and the Whiskey Run Series as a whole. This book, like all the others, was well-written, fast paced and suspenseful. There is so much chemistry between our main characters and just the right amount of steam. You do not have to read this series in order, but I do recommend reading it from the beginning, it is that good.

ARC was provided by Booksprout, and this is my honest review.

Better than expected

Logan and Bree's story was more complicated than I anticipated. He caught her kissing another man, and it broke his heart. She came to work for his Security company as a start-up, with an ironclad contract that protected her for a year, and he did everything humanly possible to get her to quit and leave. As much as he couldn't deny the attraction was still there, he refused to give her what she really came to town for, him and his heart.

Hope did a great job of building up their chemistry, mistrust, mystery, and love for each other. To say that their relationship was complicated is an understatement. The big question that remained throughout the story was why did she cheat? The buildup and final explanation was told in a way that brought the reader from the highest high to the lowest low. It made you really cheer for these two to come out the other side intact.

This is a different side of Whiskey Run, but as always, there is a weave of connection in this small town.

This is book 2 of The Brodys of Whiskey Run series, following the Brody brothers. This story centers on the second chance at love story between Logan and Bree. I love the Whiskey Run world and the characters and couples, but sometimes second chance stories are more frustrating than anything, when a simple conversation between two adults would go a long way in solving the issues between the characters. I REALLY wanted Logan to just be quiet one time when Bree tried to explain to him what happened and what he saw, but he shut her down each and every time, resulting in time lost when they could have been together and frustration for both of them. Outside of that, this is a well written story with great characters (cameos from other lovable characters and couples), a beautiful world of Whiskey Run, plenty of spice, lots of love, and a well earned HEA.

When Logan finds out that his friend and business partner has hired Bree, his ex, to work for them he is not happy. When he realizes that she has a contract for the next 9 months he realizes he has no choice, but he isn’t about to make it easy for her. When he realizes that there is a lot he doesn’t know about their breakup he wants to be there for her, but her past is about to catch up with her.

Bree regrets the way that things ended with Logan and she wants a second chance with him. She is ready to tell him the truth about what happened, but he isn’t willing to listen and she begins to think that may be for the best until the danger from her past resurfaces and could destroy the relationship they are trying to rebuild.

Logan feels betrayed which causes some turmoil but the love between them is stronger than ever. Their romance doesn’t disappoint as they take us on a journey that includes family, friends, suspense and a second chance.

His Heart Knew what it Wanted -
This was a truly electrifying second chance romance story with an unexpected twist that you won’t expect towards the end. The characters came alive and kept me eagerly turning pages filled with longing glances, drama, heartwarming moments, misunderstandings and meddling, but supportive siblings. I was really looking forward to reading Logan and Bree’s story and I can say without a shadow of doubt, that Hope Ford didn’t disappoint me.

I really enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend you grab a copy ‘The Hero I Can't Resist’ as well as this book, because once you start the series, you won’t want to miss out on reading the other books. I am really looking for to reading the rest of the books in the series.

When I first started reading the Ex I Can’t Forget by Hope Ford, I thought Hope had actually wrote a book I would not enjoy! Cheating is the one thing I hate in books, and I will not read it. Especially when it is the FMC who does the cheating!!! But I pushed on, I know Hope Ford’s characters are not cheaters. I am so glad I pushed through! Bree and Logan were lovers, then fate ripped them apart. When Bree was hired at Logan’s security, Logan did not know if he could handle it. Bree knew working for Stonghold Security was going to be difficult, with the man she loves is one of the owners. And she was right. It was pure hell! It was pure hell for the both of them. But when Bree’s life is in danger, Logan’s love and Bree’s past comes into sharp focus, all the secrets come out. Loved this book!!

Be careful when to read this book, once I pushed through the painful feelings Bree and Logan have, I was not able to stop reading. Logan thinks Bree cheated on him, and he was sure he is the love of his life. Two years later Bree comes back, working in his company as a secretary. He is not willing to listen to her and besides being not only heartbroken, she is datermined to help him to at least fulfil his dreams, before leaving after her contract is over, but she has to know she tried everything.
I had a really hard time reading the beginning and the hurt both experiened and being so in love with each other, having found this one person, but it is really worse it to push trhough. Love this story, the characters, made me cry and laugh with them!.

The Ex I Can’t Forget is awesome! Filled with pulse-pounding emotion, undeniable chemistry, and a boat-load of drama, this novella delivers all the feels with a side of suspense and mystery. Logan and Bree explode off the pages, and it’s clear that they belong together. I love how author Hope Ford built this story of second chance love, forgiveness, and fire. Bree is bold and brave, stubborn and sweet, caring and compassionate. Her sense of justice and desire to make amends for her past with Logan is clear and loud. Logan’s hurt and anger are equally palpable, and his heart is beyond broken. His actions, though not always respectable, are understandable given all that he’s been through. And when the spit hits the fan and the danger rises, the dramatics deliver big time!

Feeling like she had no other choice, Bree Banks makes her way back to Whiskey Run, and to the one man she can’t seem to forget. Logan Brody is less than thrilled to find out that his ex girlfriend Bree has been hired on as a contractor for his new business, Stronghold Security. They broke up over two years ago and Logan wants no part of Bree’s explanation as to why she did what she had to do. Having to work closely together they manage to form a tenuous connection that leads to more than either expected. As the danger ramps up, Logan finally realizes what he could have had all along and will go to any length to get Bree back. Thanks to BookSprout and the author for the opportunity to read and review this quick steamy enjoyable read.

The Ex I Can't Forget is a well-written romance that is great from start to finish. This small-town, suspenseful, enemies to lovers, second chance is worth the read! I loved the characters, not only are they believable but they connect so well with one another and within this story. They really bring the reader along on their journey. Bree and Logan fit as a couple and have a special connection. However, they do move through some past issues, heart-felt emotions, growing pains, and some unexpected twists and turns to get to their happy ever after. I loved this suspenseful romance and highly recommend. The Ex I Can't Forget is Book 2 of The Brodys of Whiskey Run series.

This is book number 2 of the The Brodys of Whiskey Run series and focuses on Logan and Bree. Two years prior, Logan and Bree fell in love with each other but one moment destroyed their happiness. Now, Bree is working at the same company as Logan and she just wants to make things right between them. Logan refuses to listen to Bree and allow her to tell him what happened but Bree is one patient and understanding woman who knows that Logan is hurt and needs time. It took a while for everything to come out and for them to be able to work towards their happy ending. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Rating: 3.5 rounded to 4 stars

As per usual for Hope Ford we get here MMC that's broody and alpha and FMC that he's absolutely obsessed about. There is a bit of suspense, small town-ish and big family vibes. And if you're a fan of second chance romance - this one is well done.
My only complaint would be a bit confusing timeframe for the past plotline.

Logan is not happy to see Bree, the woman that he believes cheated on him two years ago. Bree has come to tell him the truth. I confess I wanted to shake Logan as he kept his grudge against Bree by refusing to listen to her truths. Bree was contrite and my heart ached for her. Her past catching up to her is a big wake up call for Logan. I loved how the Ghost Team guys jumped right back in to help save the day. Full of tension, heartbreak, stubbornness, passion renewed, revelations, danger, forgiveness and a HEA. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Bree and Logan were in a committed relationship, or so he thought until he saw her kissing another man! They break up. Time passes and Bree is working in the firm Logan always wanted and now has.
Lots going on in their story, sleepless nights, Logan insisting they can’t be together and then they spend heated nights together! He won’t give her the opportunity to explain the kiss that caused them to break up..
No spoilers, so I won’t even give hints to what happens next. However there is a happy and very steamy HEA.

I liked this story for its emotional pull and classic second-chance setup, and it was delivered in a fast, easy-to-devour way. Bree and Logan’s shared history brings believable tension, and their unresolved feelings keep the story engaging without dragging it out. Logan’s protective streak and the small-town atmosphere add warmth and momentum, while the touch of suspense from Bree’s past gives the plot a bit more edge. Overall, it’s a solid, satisfying read that blends angst, chemistry, and heart in a way makes you want their HEA.

This is book 2 of The Brodys of Whiskey Run
Bree and Logan’s story is the story of heartbreak and longing. Right from the very first page, you can feel the tension between them when they meet again. Bree left but she still feels the guilt which is raw and real, and Logan’s bitterness she left behind still lingers, and you can feel it. You can see when they meet again the hurt, the wanting, fighting the pull to be with each other again. You are not able to put is down to find out if they will give a 2nd chance a try. I loved the story!.

I love Logan and Bree together! I was curious about their story when they were introduced in The Hero I Can't Resist, and I really wanted to know what had happened. I'll be honest, I got frustrated with Logan a couple of times through the book when he expected her to listen to him and be understanding, and I may or may not have yelled at him. But when his protective instincts kick in and he's willing to do anything for Bree (and finally gets his head out of his a$s) they are SO GOOD. Sweet, spicy, and a great HEA!.
