Cautiva de los Hombres de la Montaña: Una novela Reverse Harem militar

Rate this book

When EMT and single mom Leah (h) heads into the Colorado mountains to search for her missing brother, danger is expected. What she doesn't see coming is being kidnapped with her son Noah and thrown into the heart of a violent trafficking ring. Rescue comes in the form of three off-the-grid soldiers, each carrying scars, secrets, and something worth fighting for.

Connor (H) shares history with Leah and discovers a life-altering truth that ties them together. Dane (H) brings quiet strength and unshakable steadiness. Logan (H) keeps the darkness at bay with sharp wit and unwavering care. Together, they offer protection, heat, connection, and complications.

As Leah fights to survive, protect her son, and find the truth about her brother, she becomes something more than a survivor. When the men are captured by the very people they were running from, it’s Leah who risks everything to save them. ‍

These characters all begin shaped by loss, guilt, and survival. Leah transforms from desperate and hunted to bold and in control, refusing to let anyone define her path. She’s not sidelined. She leads, chooses, and takes back her power.

Each man brings something vital. Connor has loyalty, strength, and unresolved emotion. Dane offers stability and respect. Logan brings humor, softness, and warmth. Their bond with Leah evolves into something chosen, honest, and real. No games, no rescuing, just respect, desire, and commitment. ‍

A gritty, steamy, emotionally charged RH mountain romance with military grit and heart, exploring survival, found family, personal agency, trauma recovery, protection, identity, revenge, redemption, choice, reclaiming power, and choosing love on your own terms.

Property of the Mountain Men is a steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, forced-proximity, reverse-harem, unplanned pregnancy, single mom gets her three mountain men romance. Leah is an EMT who is trying to find her brother Kyle. When she goes searching for him with her son, Noah, they end up kidnapped by the Cartel. They end up being saved, by three hunky military men in the mountains. Connor is her brother's best friend, who she has a history with, Dane is the broody stoic one, and Logan is the charmer. There is a lot of danger and drama before we end on a happy note as no one is safe. This was not as spicy as expected but still had decent chemistry. 3.5☆s.

I just finished reading Tess Chase’s "Property of the Mountain Men," and I am absolutely in love with it! From page one, I was hooked by the incredible setting and the strong characters. Tess has a gift for creating a vivid world that feels so real. The way she describes the beauty of the mountains makes me want to pack my bags and go on an adventure! I could picture every scene so clearly. It's like I was exploring the wilderness alongside the characters!

The romance in this book is exactly what I crave! The chemistry between the main characters is electric and filled with tension. I found myself cheering for their connection as they navigated the challenges of their lives and the rugged landscape around them. There are moments that made my heart skip a beat, and I love how Tess blends passion with the thrill of the outdoors. It’s the perfect mix of romance and adventure that left me swooning and dreaming about my own mountain escape!

What really stood out to me was how relatable the characters are. They each have their struggles and desires, making it easy to feel connected to them. Tess Chase does a wonderful job of weaving in themes of love, friendship, and self-discovery. By the end of the book, I felt as if I knew them personally. I would definitely recommend "Property of the Mountain Men" to anyone who loves a heartwarming romance infused with excitement. You won't be disappointed; it’s a delightful read that will warm your heart!.

A decent enough story BUT…. *** CONTAINS SPOILERS ***

The book blurb is VERY misleading. The story itself is perfectly fine and I’d certainly consider it good entertainment.

SPOILERS BELOW.
Yes the FMC and her son do get kidnapped whilst she’s searching for her missing brother after being stonewalled by military command.

They do get rescued by 3 men. However, they aren’t ex military at all they’re still on active duty. They were staked out in a National Park surveilling a human trafficking operation*.
The FMC is attracted to all 3 of her rescuers and yes one of them is the father of her child although he was unaware of the boy’s existence.
Having been raised in the military the FMC doesn’t want to be the afterthought in any relationship.
There’s no mention of her getting pregnant in this book that is apparently left to a bonus epilogue. Which to me implies an additional epilogue, which would be difficult as there wasn’t an epilogue.

The book is left unfinished and ambiguous. Not sure if I want to pursue that any further. You do however get two chapters of the next book in the series.

* Re: military operations within the US. I found this concept quite jarring as I was under the impression that the US military didn’t operate in domestic missions. Much like the division between the FBI and the CIA. The former operates within the US and the latter operates outside the US.

Leah is a military brat, she knows the emotional turmoil it can bring—the worry of when and if the person will come home from deployment. So, when her brother Kyle disappears while deployed, she hires a private investigator to see if he can find further information. When he targets a last known area and the scent goes cold, Leah heads straight there with her son Noah, hoping to find out more herself.

Connor, Logan, and Dane are a unit tasked to find Kyle as they have been hunting down and dismantling human and drug trafficking rings. What they didn't count on, especially Connor, was seeing Leah and her son while on a stakeout. Connor who has a past with Leah, changes the operational parameters. He needs to save them and find out what they are doing with Cartel.

Connor and Leah have to sort through their emotional baggage between each other. Leah will not commit herself to a military man because of the emotional toil it can bring. But she is even more confused when she finds she is still insanely attracted to Connor but also to Logan and Dane while they are trying to get her to safety. Feelings intensify for all four but can their relationship work given the job that they do?

I’m a bit unsure on how to rate this and I am hovering at like 2-3 stars. I love the action, adventure, and thrill in this as Leah, Connor, Dane, and Logan are running for their lives however I have other concerns/holdups/whatnot. First of all, the book description isn’t an accurate reflection of what actually happens in the book. Second, it’s not very spicy and if you’re going to claim to be a reverse harem give me some spice. This has the potential of being super steamy and hot but fell short for me. Third…I am a mom and I really enjoy sex. There is not even the slightest of chances where I am going to be separated from one (or all) of my kids in a life or death situation and I’m going to be screwing around or thinking about my hot rescuers. So much focus on wanting to hook up with each one of these guys and it felt like her son was an after thought at times. This point really was a turn off for me. I understand that part of the plot included the son but it was all really cringey for me.

This was a good book, and the characters worked well together. When Leah and her son are kidnapped and are being sold in a trafficking ring, that her brother was investigating. When she and her son are rescued by three of her brothers team mates, she is in shock and even more when she realizes that one of the men is the guy who had a one night with and gave her , her son. The feelings between them and the rest of the team, make for an awkward time along with them being hunted by the traffickers , it makes for a good time.
They find her brother and they help take out the traffickers, and manage to get kicked out of the military at the same time. They tell Leah that they all love her and they all get together as a group and have fun.

Military romance.
Leah is a young single mother searching for her missing military brother. While she's stuck on confidential files and can't find her brother's last location, she receives a message informing her of her brother's presence in a mountainous area. While traveling there with her eight-year-old son, she and her son are kidnapped. Fortunately, three magnificent mountain men, her brother's teammates, are there to save her and her son. Unfortunately, she finds herself confronted by a cartel determined to catch her.
Will Leah and these magnificent soldiers manage to have a beautiful story, or will the secrets Leah is keeping from them separate them….

Leah is trying to find her missing brother when both her and her son are kidnapped. Connor, Dane and Logan all work with her brother and are currently investigating what happened to him when they see her and her son brought to a mountain spot their watching. Unable to let anything happen to them they step in to save them. Its not long before things get complicated and they all become hunted. Will this turn into more than any of them planned? Can they find her brother?

This is an amazing story that will have you on the edge of your seat from the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Hmmm… this one is a mixed bag.
I quite enjoyed that it was mostly action.
Explosions, gunfights, knives, chases through the mountains - yep.. fun.
Definitely some emotion in it though - abandoned 9 years earlier. Call it what you will, but for me… 100% abandoned.
The spice wasn’t all that spicy, and the blurb isn’t exactly a match for the story. Not going to spoil it, but the blurb can kick rocks…

Fully enjoyable, but some inconsistencies drove me up the wall - predominantly about Noah and his father. If those issuers were fixed up… I would happily rate a 4.5-5.

I would give this 5 stars because it's a terrific story however it has 3 very major mistakes in the plot and storyline that need to be fixed before I can recommend this book. The glaring errors in writing are completely unrealistic and impossible to believe because they would not happen in real life so screw up entire story. Once fixed I will rewrite my review because without those errors this was a fantastic book. Also the ending was terrible and abrupt leaving reader hanging with no good conclusion building thru entire story which was entire point of plot.

This Ex-Military, Mountain Men Romance Book has a RH, Single Mother Romance Story, a well-crafted world and interesting characters. This story has characters with complicated histories, unique personalities and believable interactions. I enjoyed reading how the characters interacted throughout this engaging reverse harem story. This story has a woman looking into her missing brother, kidnapped mother & son, 3 Mountain Men come to the rescue, they also served with her brother, she has history and a son with one of them, another pregnancy, danger, twists, turns, chemistry, strength, and love. They are Protective Ex-Military Men wanting to keep her safe and to keep her.

It is a reverse harem. There is a kid. She has a past with one of the men. But all three of them love her. All of them have love or like for each other they also been hurt.
This is not just a romance. It is a military romance so there is action and danger.
Thing is when they met after a long time. it was not what you would expect. They did not fall all over each other or anything.
Time changes, people change, for good or bad. The author showed that.

I did not like that the blurb implied a little that when they met after a long time they were ok. They were not.

Not gonna lie - this one caught me off guard. I was not expecting a marathon across a mountain, or such a nasty baddie. You know it's a good yarn when you are, at times, in turns, and often simultaneously, ready to throttle any one or several of the MC's at once. Will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat, thats's for sure! Not, in any way, formulaic or predictable, and all in the best of ways. Get ready for one heck of a ride!.

This was quite the action packed read. Leah is a single mom on the hunt for her missing brother. This gets her and her son kidnapped and, subsequently, rescued. Surprisingly, she has ties to one of the three guys that rescued her and she's shocked by her attraction to him, after all these years, but also his two friends. Then the unthinkable happens and the three men get caught. Well. Up steps Leah to be the woman she was always meant to be: strong, brave, fierce and definitely taking back her power. Love this! I really enjoyed the action-packed and fast paced read :D

All I can say about this book is that I could not put it down. The author draws you into the story and holds you in suspense until the end. Leah and her son are kidnapped from a grocery store parking lot. The fight for their life has just begun. They are rescued by three soldiers, Conner, Dane and Logan. Leah could not imagine that the man who left her would save her, or that he would find out about the son he left behind that he did not know about. Happy ending included.

This is a reverse harem story that is very heavy on the survival action, not so much on the harem action. We've got Leah and her son Noah who get kidnapped. Then there's Connor, Dane and Logan who come to there rescue. While running from the bad guys Leah finds herself falling for Connor, Dane and Logan, and them her. Not to mention the sticky part about Connor being Noah's father. It's not until the very end that the guys decide that they are okay with sharing Leah.

This is a reverse harem romance with a brother's best friend, dark elements, kidnapping and forced proximity. It is about Leah, Connor, Dane and Logan. She is an EMT and a single mother to Noah. Her brother has gone missing and she is desperately trying to find him. Unfortunately, she finds herself in the middle of a trafficking ring. Fortunately, she is rescued by three fierce and protective men. This is a delightful, emotional and gritty read where not everything goes as planned but happiness and love are found in the end.

I enjoyed this one. It has one of my favorite tropes: the fmc has one of the male leads kids, they separate for whatever reason, and years later reunite.

While the fmc makes an extremely dumb decision on trying to find her military brother who’s disappeared, she gets herself in a sh-t situation. This is action packed, fast paced, insta-attraction.

Why choose (three male leads)
Single mom fmc
Second chance

She is on a mission to find what happened to her brother Kyle, the last thing she expects is to be kidnapped and then sold and have her son taken from her. However when she thinks that all is lost, Conner and his team show up to rescue them. What Conner does not know is that her son is also his son, can he put is personal feeling a side to keep them all safe.

Leah hired a PI to look for her brother who is in the military. Noah and her son had been shopping at the grocery when he was kidnapped. But Leah would not let her kid get kidnapped and the kidnappers took her too. What does it take to make sure your child is safe? Who do you trust? You have no family so who will help? Then Connor, Logan and Dane are there.

Loved this book! Leah is a single mother and when her military brother goes missing she will do anything to get him back, Connor, Dane and Logan are all soldiers and are are looking for Leah's brother as well but never thought she would be in danger from very bad men. Can they keep her safe and will they all get a happy ending?.

This book was an average read for me. The premise was intriguing, and there were some engaging moments, but the execution didn’t fully deliver. The characters had potential, but the plot sometimes felt inconsistent or rushed. The entirety of the book took place over 48 hours. It wasn’t a bad book, but it didn’t stand out either.

Tess's writing never fails to keep me hooked. Beautiful story, with wonderful characters! Overall it was a great contemporary romance! This story was fun, quick pace and had a ton of fun interactions between each other. I absolutely loved everything about this story. It was beautifully written, had a great original storyline and wonderful characters. I loved not only the main characters, but so many of the side characters. I couldn’t put it down until the end!

When Leah (FMC) and her son - Noah get kidnapped her past collides with the present and an old flame - Connor (as well as Logan and Dane) comes back into her life. It causes all sorts of complications for her as well as giving her information on her missing brother - Kyle. Close proximity between Leah and the guy's led to them all getting closer as the book progressed with plenty of steamy scenarios. Action packed too. So overall a good read I thought.

This nook was a solid 4.5 rating for me, right up to the super abrupt end where it just left EVERYTHING hanging. If you want an epilogue, you have to download it. I don’t download anything from sites that I’m not familiar with. I wish the epilogue was included with the book I purchased. I won’t be purchasing any more of this author’s books if that is the way the books end. Too bad, Tess chase is really a pretty good author.

Did I read the same book? I’m so confused the ending was basically non existent, just leaves hospital and nothing…? wtf nothing about the son and his dad!? Do the men decide to be with her? I have no idea what happens !? The book was good until the last couple chapters then I feel like I missed something or pages were removed I can’t stand when books do that it’s so frustrating. Would not recommend wasting your time if you don’t want to be pissed off after reading

This was a fast read for me. Overall good book with good plot and minimal spice. Could have been a little longer with more character development. Ie: MFC already knew personalities on MMC on day one of meeting in a high stress situation- likely not plausible, so took away from the story a little.

Breath of fresh air

It was very refreshing to read a reverse harem book that is different. The story kept me enraptured from the first chapter to the end, and honestly left me wanting to know more. The female lead is fierce, determined, and independent and not your typical damsel in distress, even when she is literally in distress. Looking forward to the next book!
