Claimed By Her Fire Daddies: A Runaway Bride, Ex-SEALs, Age Gap, Surprise Baby, Why Choose Romance

Rate this book
"... and your body is about to become our favorite place to burn."

One runaway bride. Three sizzling firefighters. And a rescue that leaves them burning for more.I ran from my abusive fiancé at the altar,
got caught in a blizzard in the middle of nowhere,
and crashed into the truck of three dangerously hot, silver fox ex-SEALs.

They don’t just make me feel safe.
They make me feel alive—wanted and worshipped in ways I never imagined.
And soon, two pink lines prove just how deep our love goes.

Hunter, the sweet, protective biker daddy who rides me harder than his favorite Harley.
Ryder, the mountain daddy with a filthy mouth and a possessive streak that soaks my panties before he even touches me.
Knox, the grumpy daddy whose silent dominance and dark stare leave me begging for more.

But in a small town like this, gossip spreads like wildfire.
And jealous eyes aren't the only things ready to strike the match...
My past kicks down the door, threatening me and my baby.

But my fire daddies?
They’ll unleash hell to protect what’s theirs.

Because no one touches what belongs to them...
And lives to brag about it.

When fate throws a runaway bride into the path of three irresistible firefighters, saying “why choose” has never felt more right.

Skye never planned to run from her wedding, but fleeing from a life built on control leads her right into the arms of three men who show her what love and freedom truly look like. Hunter and Ryder, two firefighters with hearts as big as their bravery, rescue her after a crash, while the third, Knox, is less than thrilled about their unexpected guest—at first. But as Skye rebuilds her life, all three men prove that love can be protective without being possessive.

What begins as a slow burn soon turns into a deep, emotional connection that makes their chemistry feel completely undeniable. Each man supports Skye as she learns to trust again and reclaim her voice, and even when danger from her past resurfaces, the bond between them only strengthens.

This book captivated me in the best way; it’s not all spice—it’s layered, emotional, and surprisingly powerful. Ruby Hayes perfectly balances spice with story, giving readers a heroine who takes charge of her life and heroes who stand beside her every step of the way.

A perfect why choose romance for anyone who loves found family, protective men, and a woman who refuses to settle for less than she deserves.

Running with Skye right from the onset! Good storyline, strong willful somewhat lost men who you want to know if they find their way. She’s strong in her own right just hasn’t realized it yet. Steamy, engrossing, danger could be lurking anywhere. I waned their story to go on and on.

I love Ruby’s Books!

The FMC had a rough go of it from the beginning and throughout the book. I felt for her. Each MMC had things I loved about them. They were perfect in the book. I did feel like the I love you’s moved a little fast but overall the relationships and storyline were great.

Can’t wait to read more!!

Finally Living Her Life on Her Own Terms -
Skye didn’t have a plan when she escaped her wedding ceremony, but fate had a plan in story for her as she run into run into two firefighters, who not only rescued her from the crash, but also gave her shelter. Even though Ryder and Hunter were intensely attracted to Skye, they did everything possible to make her feel safe, as they knew she was running from someone, but Knox on the other wasn’t pleased they brought her home. When Ryder asked one of the ladies in town to help Skye acclimatise to the town, he never expected it to create issues, which led to them asking Skye to move in with them.

Skye’s attraction for each of them grew as she spent time with them individually, which led to them subsequently enjoying steamy encounters together. Unfortunately, just as Skye, Ryder, Hunter and Knox settled into their relationship, her ex-fiancé found out where she was, at the same time she discovered her life was going to change. Skye withdrew into herself as she was apprehensive about revealing her secret, so Ryder, Hunter and Knox just gave her the space she needed to gain the courage to tell them.

Ryder, Hunter and Knox immediately went into protective mode and also taught Skye how to defend herself if they were not around, but they didn’t take into account the lengths her ex-fiancé would go to get her back and the last person they expected to be involved in providing information to her ex-fiancé. Luckily, Skye, Ryder, Hunter, Knox and her brother were able to work together to deal with the situation permanently and ensure she was safe again, so she could get back on track with her guys.

OMG! It may have taken me most of the day to read this book, but I can say without a shadow of doubt, that Ruby Hayes did a great job with this fantastic story, which drew me in from the first page and kept me totally engaged until I finished reading the book. The storyline had a few unpredictable and emotional moments that caught me off guard, but seeing the female characters finally gaining the confidence to stand up for herself, made this story an amazing read.

I picked up Claimed by Her Fire Daddies knowing exactly what it was. Big men. Fire. Daddy energy. Zero expectations for literary excellence. Vibes only.

And yet.

AND YET.

Somehow I was still not prepared for the PARAGRAPH CRIMES committed in this book.

The plot? Predictable as hell. I called everything. I could’ve written the third act in my sleep.
The spice? HOT. Effective. Doing cardio while the plot clocked out.
The FMC? Likeable! Functional! Not an idiot! A win!

But the WRITING.

WHY.
IS.
EVERY.
THOUGHT.
ITS.
OWN.
PARAGRAPH.

I am BEGGING. I felt like I was reading a dramatic group chat where everyone keeps hitting “send” too early.

Sentence.
New line.
Another sentence.
Another line.
A thought that absolutely did NOT deserve its own paragraph.

My brain short-circuited. My Kindle almost caught fire (appropriately). I stopped absorbing the story and started rage-counting paragraph breaks like it was my full-time job.

It killed the flow. Murdered it. Buried it. Set it on fire with the fire daddies.
Every scene felt choppy, frantic, and unhinged—but not in the fun way. In the “who edited this, a raccoon?” way.

And listen—this book WANTED to be a messy good time. It almost was. But the formatting made me want to stand up, pace my living room, and whisper “WHY” to the void.

So yes. I was entertained.
Yes. I finished it.
Yes. The spice did some heavy lifting.

But I cannot, in good conscience, give more than three stars to a book that made me feel like I was fighting for my life against paragraph spacing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
For the vibes.
Minus two stars for emotional damage and formatting-induced rage.

Would I read another one? Unfortunately… yes.
Would I complain again? ABSOLUTELY.

Skye decides at the last minute that she can't proceed with the wedding. She doesn't love Graham, and she can't be bartered like cattle to please her father. She needs to flee and leave everything behind, because someone like Graham, with his wealth and connections, could track her down. With no place in particular in mind, she just drives.

Hunter, Ryder, and Knox live and work together. When Hunter and Ryder are driving home, they notice the accident and leap straight into action.

Hunter and Ryder both notice immediately how lovely Skye is, but Knox isn't happy about their new houseguest. Skye is thankful for their help, but decides to stay in town, as she doesn't want to come between the three men.

The attraction blooms between Skye, Hunter, and Ryder, but she thinks Knox doesn't like her, which couldn't be further from the truth. Knox is very interested in her, but he knows that she isn't telling them the truth and is therefore wary of what drama she could bring to their doorstep. But soon even his walls come down.

Can this type of relationship stand the scrutiny of a small town? Can jealousy and pettiness by others cause tension and division? But also, what will happen when Skye's past catches up with her? Can the men keep her safe when her ex has nothing left to lose?

Skye has to learn to let the men into her life. That they are not like Graham and her father, who are all about control, she finds that they let her have a voice, pursue her ambitions, and control her life. They are there to love, protect, and support her with whatever choices she makes.

This is my second “...Daddies” book by Ruby Hayes, and it did not disappoint. Much like Her Billionaire Daddies, it’s completely unrealistic — but in the best way. These stories are pure escapism: you just sit back, suspend disbelief, and enjoy the ride.

Skye, our FMC, is a runaway bride escaping an arranged marriage orchestrated by her father. After a snowy accident, she’s rescued by two VERY handsome firefighters, Hunter and Ryder, who are instantly drawn to her but quickly realise she’s running from something. Enter Knox — another gorgeous MMC who’s less than thrilled when they bring home a mysterious, beautiful stranger. Naturally, sparks fly, chemistry ignites, and Skye falls for each of them in her own way. The spice? Definitely spicin’.

I loved how each man had his own backstory, and the way they treated Skye with such respect and patience was genuinely satisfying. It was lovely seeing her receive all the affection and care she’d been craving — from three strong, capable men, no less.

Without spoiling anything, the twists and suspense kept me hooked from start to finish.

I absolutely adored this book! Honestly, when I pick up something in this style, I usually expect it to lean more toward the smutty side with just a hint of story (which I definitely don’t mind). But Ruby Hayes completely surprised me . . .in the best way. This one delivered both the heat and a truly engaging story.
I loved watching Skye take charge of her own life and rewrite her story on her own terms. She was strong, brave, and real in the best ways. And her guys, Knox, Hunter, and Ryder, were everything I wanted in protective MMCs. They were strong, supportive, and caring without ever crossing into overbearing territory. I also appreciated that they didn’t immediately force Skye under their protection but instead gave her the space to figure things out while still keeping watch from the sidelines.
This was my first Ruby Hayes book, but it definitely won’t be my last. She balanced spice, story, and emotion perfectly. If you love found family, protective heroes, and a heroine who takes back her power, you’ll love this one too.

This why choose book is so spicy with over the top chaos and heartwarming charm. Ryder, Hunter and Knox are a knockout dream. It's got some suspense mixed in with all that spice too.

The characters chemistry was hot hot hot! It made for some swoon worthy reading. Ryder is a man that will be there for you in a heartbeat but he's also got this troublemaker vibe that makes you melt. Hunter oh my he is the biggest sweetheart and so trusting. He's definitely one that wears his heart on his sleeve. Knox is guarded but so protective too and underneath it all I think he's the biggest softy. Skye has this strength I don't think she realizes she has until these guys are there for her. She's fierce, brave and they all brought out the best in each other.

Such a good firefighter trope book that's suspenseful and spicy to cozy up with! Can't go wrong with picking up a Hayes book especially if you like some spice, why choose, and men in uniform.

If you’re in the mood for a romance that’s bold, protective, and full of heart, Claimed by Her Fire Daddies offers a fiery escape. The story begins with a woman on the run, seeking safety and a fresh start. What she finds instead is a snowstorm, a cabin, and three ex-SEAL firefighters who are more than ready to keep her warm — and safe.

Without giving too much away, this is a “Why Choose” romance with age-gap dynamics, emotional healing, and a strong sense of found family. Each of the men brings something different to the table, and their connection with the heroine is both tender and intense. There’s spice, yes, but also softness — the kind that makes you believe in second chances.

Ruby Heyes writes with heat and heart, making this a great pick for readers who love protective alpha men, cozy settings with high emotional stakes, and stories that celebrate love in all its forms.

Okay, so picture this: you run from your wedding, crash into a blizzard, and then...bam...straight into three ex-SEAL firefighters built like sin and smolder. Yeah… I was hooked before page ten.

This book is exactly what it promises—wild, spicy, over-the-top, and full of “did-that-just-happen?” moments. Hunter, Ryder, and Knox each bring their own brand of heat, and together? It’s basically an inferno that could melt snow off an entire mountain.

But what surprised me most was how much heart it had beneath all that steam. There’s strength in survival, healing in love, and a fierce sense of protection that hits deep. It’s chaotic, spicy, and sweet all at once...my kind of fun, no-apologies read.

This is a hot and steamy why choose romance. Skye is a strong FC, who decides at the last minute not to go through with the arranged marriage her dad has set up for her. She finds strength and runs only to crash her car in a little town covered in snow. She is found by Ryder and Hunter. They are smoking hot and fall for her straight away. As you continue to read along comes Knox to complete the trio. Wowzer three hot firemen all ex seals and will burn through hell to protect Skye who they now claim as their own. Her past comes back to haunt her and the men prove what she means to them all and protects her with everything they have. I didn't want this story to end would definitely recommend.

I received an early ARC of this book for an honest review.

Just wanted to say thank you to Hayling Bookstorm for sending me a copy of this book.

Loved this story as Skye comes across as a strong woman from basically the very beginning, particularly with the predicament she initially finds herself in, and becomes even more so as the story progresses.

The relationship between Skye and the guys is beautiful, particularly with Knox who is initially more weary of Skye than Hunter and Ryder, but once she starts opening up as to what she is actually running from, they ensure that they are always by her side and stand up for her, whenever danger is nearby. And then there is the love they begin to show her, and it is truly wonderful, especially when she reveals something that will change their relationship and lives forever.

This has been another fabulous read by Ruby 💕

Skye is running away from her wedding and an abusive fiance. Once she met Knox, Ryder and Hunter. Once they show her she isn't alone and she tells them what is going on and why she is running Knox accepts her completely. All it takes is for her guard to come down and for her to trust all 3 men to let them in and protect her if she needs them to. Graham showing up the way he did though I'm glad he got handled. The way they protected her and how Cole showed up and how they were not having what happened to him. They all got married and Lyla ran away cause she knows what she did was horribly wrong on so many levels. Their little girl though was amazing. I love their stories and how they protect each other.

A runaway bride and three sexy firefighters. You can’t get any better than that. I always love a why choose romance especially one that’s a spicy as this one. I think we all fantasize about being able to have a why choose scenario. So it’s always fun to read a book like this. I love it when an author is able to take a scenario that normally wouldn’t be realistic, but is able to write it in a way that makes you feel like this could truly happen and you’re all in. I mean, I’m not going to be opposed to this kind of situation. I think this book brought the spice,it brought the, sexiness and brought the heat. this book was fire, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This was fine why choose however it was a bit surface level so got a little dull.

Skye is being married off to Graham who is abusive. She decides to make a run from the alter and ends up in a minor car accident and get saved by these firefighters.

Hunter& Ryder seem interchangeable to me struggled to see the difference could have been one character.

Knox is the broody silent one who is standoffish.

Hunter and Ryder fall hard and fast and Knox takes his time. Obviously a previous ex of the lads has issues with their new love and spreads rumours and causes issues in the town. Graham turns up to try and get Skye back but it’s all anticlimactic and over quickly.

Obviously Skye is pregnant fairly quickly as not once is birth control mentioned.

Thank you to the author and Grey's pr for the ARC of this book. I really enjoy the why choose books by Ruby Hayes and this was no exception. Harley is the runaway bride - escaping an abusive situation from both fiancé and father. She winds up getting rescued by 3 very hot ex-Navy Seals/firemen - Hunter, Ryder, and Knox. There is chemistry from the get go - but I love how Ruby Hayes does a slow burn. There was spice and heat and definitely banter - but also caring and support and love. There is of course a showdown between her new loves and her former love - which was very suspenseful. Overall, great Why Choose with lots of spice!

Claimed by Her Fire daddies is RIGHT!

Ms. Ruby let me tell you that I admire you imagination, your writing and your characters. Skye not knowing her power and strength got me into a frenzy telling her, out loud May I add, and wanting to add my strength to her every time she was in doubt of herself. When she ran I ran with her and when she met her men, Ryder, Knox and Hunter I knew this was gonna be muy caliente 🥵 to say the least. I loved all of them but Knox was my favorite with his silent but deadly type 🫦. Thank you . Anyone wanna read a great, lifelike and ❤️‍🔥👨‍🚒 story read this one, you will not be disappointed.

EXCELLENT JOB DONE BY RUBY HAYES! 🔥

This story is absolute cinema! It’s by far my favorite read from her yet. The storyline was so entertaining, which sometimes is hard to come by in a smutty/ why choose book. Ruby really stepped up and made a fantastic story with enough heat to singe your finger tips.

I love the way each character had their own unique storyline. My favorite character is Knox, which in the beginning you probably won’t understand why but by the end I fell completely in love with him. Each of the men treated Skye with such respect and patience and it was just so refreshing to see a realistic portrayal of the characters in the situation but also have the men be GOOD MEN.

The last half of the book completely shocked me in the best ways. I loved the darker twist and the adrenaline rush that it gave me.

Mostly I loved how Skye really came into herself and started healing from her past with the help of Knox, Ryder, and Hunter.

Overall I give this book a million out of 5 stars because I am still thinking about it and I was just really happy with how it made me feel.

If you find yourself getting a little bored with Lyla- keep pushing… I know there was a couple parts that she annoyed me but in the end you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

Highly recommended this book to anyone looking for a great spicy read. It’s also set in a small town at Christmas which gave off major Hallmark vibes but with a dark and spicy twist.

Super cute story....After fleeing her nightmare wedding Skye finds herself skidding head first into love and a ditch! After her accident Skye is rescued by a couple of hot fire fighters who help her get a fresh start. The character development is well written, Skye definitely discovers that she has more to offer than her ex let her believe. These 3 MMC are the perfect balance and will have you swooning for sure. This is a standalone with a HEA but dont think that means there isnt plot twists that will have you turning those pages.

Claimed Bu Her Fire Daddies

This book was different in the sense of writing style. The author managed to weave words that were romantic even though it wasn’t all cute and fluffy content.

I wasn’t expecting the ending but I’m glad the way Skye’s past got their heavy dose of karma right to the face.

Im not the biggest fan of angst but I understood Knox and his apprehension to just invite her into their lives without much information.
