When the most unexpected love is the one that changes everything
Bennett
I loved my life.
After I discovered I had a twin brother, we created something deep-rooted family ties, lasting friendships, shared success, and sincere happiness. As for love? I was looking for fun, not feelings.
Then she entered the room.
After a first encounter that was equal parts disaster and destiny, the most gorgeous woman I’ve ever seen ends up living under my roof. I’d long forgotten what it meant to feel that kind of pull, but the chemistry between us? Unmistakable. Explosive. Impossible to ignore.
When a looming deadline threatens to take her away, I do the only thing I can think of to keep her here. The catch? She wants to keep it a secret.
I don’t like the weight of the silence, yet find myself accepting the risk, because deep down I already know I’d give this woman anything.
But the problem with secrets is they never stay buried, and this one has the power to haunt me.
McKenna
I never imagined I’d end up in a tiny mountain town. But when my brother’s life turned upside down, I didn’t think twice about dropping everything to get to him.
The people here take me in as if I’ve always belonged, so it’s no surprise that I fall head over heels for Savannah Springs, and everyone who calls it home, faster than I ever could have imagined.
Especially him.
When Bennett, my smoking-hot housemate, offers to be my fake date to an event back in New York, I know I shouldn’t fall for the sweet-talking playboy. But when he keeps showing up for me in ways I’ve never known, my practiced smile turns into a genuine grin, and I’m in trouble.
Now that the life I’ve always dreamed of is within reach, I’m not sure I can walk away.
I was raised to keep my head down and not make waves, but with my happiness at stake, will I have the courage to step beyond the boundaries that were never mine to choose?
Kelly has been obsessed with words since she learned to read-poems, lyrics, magnetic poetry, cutting out words for collages, writing down favorite phrases. As for obsessed with love? Probably longer.
These days, you can find her hoarding all the good pens while writing contemporary romance novels full of heartfelt emotion, epic banter, spicy spice, and laugh-out-loud moments with characters you fall for and plots you get lost in.
And happily ever afters. Always happily ever afters.
When she's not writing, she's collecting moments with her four kids and husband, taking photos, dreaming of seeing the world, loving her 80 pound pitty bull, seeking new, fun experiences, or dancing to late 90s/early 2000s songs. Spoiler Alert: She can no longer Get Low.
You know when you start a series, fall in love with the main characters in book one, then book two makes you fall even harder? And by book three you’re convinced it can’t possibly get any better? Yeah, that happened here, and guess what? It was topped.
I’ve never been quiet about my undying love for Sir Donovan, so when Kelly told me I’d love Bennett FREAKING Connelly even more, I laughed and said, “yeah, okay.” Well… she wasn’t wrong.
This book wrecked me (in the best way). I felt everything for McKenna and Bennett. We all knew McKenna’s family (minus Sir Donovan) were absolute trash, but I never saw Bennett’s story coming. I’m obsessed. Please excuse me while I go stare blankly at a wall and recover. Also, my official vote is for Audra as Queen. 👑

✨ ARC Review - A Little Bit Unexpected by Kelly O'Reilly✨ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (infinity/5) 🌶️🌶️🌶️
This review is based on an ARC provided to me by the author; all thoughts are completely my own.
𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘁 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘆. We meet him in the beginning of the 𝘈 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘵 series. He's full of charm and has enough mystery to have us wondering...but we finally get to see what this man is made of.
This book picks up right where 𝘈 𝘓𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦 𝘉𝘪𝘵 𝘜𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 left off...and let's say, McKenna's first impression wasn't exactly glowing.
The initial meeting is rough, but despite that, their chemistry is impossible to ignore. Eventually, this leads into one of my favorite tropes: 𝗙𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴.
Bennett is hot, magnetic, and full of surprises. He's also made of many layers that contribute to his complicated past with relationships (he isn't looking for anyone). On the other side, McKenna is still healing from some past betrayals and trust doesn't come easy.
There's a slow burn under the book's fast pacing and every spicy moment is worth the wait.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗜 𝗟𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱: - This friend group is the BEST. We learn more about each of them as the series grows. - Bennett has layers on layers. But so does McKenna. - It was one of those books that I wanted to binge-read, but also wanted to drag it out so it never ended.
This book gets infinite stars from me. Kelly O'Reilly is an incredible author.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC Review – A Little Bit Unexpected by Kelly O’Reilly
BENNETT. FREAKING. CONNELLY.
Holy crap, this book was everything! Did I just find a new favorite book boyfriend to add to my collection? I think YES. Bennett and McKenna’s story was a wild ride from start to finish, and it was absolute perfection. The love, the heat, the banter, the chemistry — I was swooning nonstop!
“He falls first” is one of my all-time favorite tropes, and Bennett did not disappoint. The way he loved, cared for, and showed up for Kenna completely melted me. Every moment between them had me smiling, blushing, or flat-out fanning myself.
Kelly O’Reilly has done it again — Savannah Springs has never disappointed me, but Bennett and McKenna have definitely climbed straight to the top of my favorites list.
A must read for anyone who loves small-town romance, heart-melting heroes, and stories that stick with you long after you turn the last page!
Thank you for this incredible opportunity to read this ARC ahead of release date, Kelly!
Small town romances have always ranked high on my list. The community, the genuine connections, the endless support from strangers who quickly morph into lifelong friends. THIS small town romance in particular definitely won my heart and ranks on top as my favourite of the genre this year! McKenna Wright is a city girl. An heiress based in New York who lived life going through the notions of what was expected of her and boxes to check to elevate her family’s prestige. She never dared dream of anything beyond the life of a secluded socialite and never looked beyond the loneliness that had manifested from the absence of her parents and her brother throughout her life. When her older brother, Donovan gets seriously injured, she is called to Savannah Springs, a small town in South Carolina. Her impromptu visit to the town uproots her life in more ways than one when she has to stay in Savannah Springs in the home of twin brothers, Bennett and Murphy while her brother recovers. Needless to say, McKenna falls. For the town, the people, and Bennett Connelly, the womanizing charmer she was warned against. Bennett Connelly is an outgoing guy. Sweet, thoughtful, kind, an all rounder as a good person. The only problem is his womanizing ways that many can’t look past, especially McKenna’s brother, Donovan. When Bennett is given the warning to stay away from her, he finds that harder than he thought possible as she literally stays in his house and saunters through stunning and stylish with her myriad of “fancy-pants” outfits that Bennet loves to see everyday. He’s drawn in a way he’s avoided for years, so much so that he doesn’t hesitate to come to her rescue, be it in New York, from her toxic mother, even from herself. A Little Bit Unexpected is a journey, one of hurt and healing for both Bennett and McKenna who have fight against past trauma and to learn to let people back in. This book was excellently written and constructed in a way that was both relatable and dreamy. 𝓣𝓸 𝓚𝓮𝓵𝓵𝔂 𝓞´𝓡𝓮𝓲𝓵𝓵𝔂 🩵 Kelly, thank you so much for including me in your ARC Team for A Little Bit Unexpected. I loved being part of Bennett and McKenna’s journey. Learning with them, laughing with them, loving on them. This book was much needed and thank you for sharing Bennett and McKenna’s story with the world. 🩵⛰️🩵
Thank you to the author for the opportunity to read this ARC! All opinions are my own.
In the third book in the “A Little Bit” series, McKenna has ended up in a small town in South Carolina after her brother’s life has been turned upside down. Before long she meets Bennett, Savannah Springs’ resident playboy - and one of her brother’s good friends. When McKenna decides to stay in town to help her brother, her relationship with Bennett grows. Can McKenna escape the clutches of her overbearing mother back in New York, and will she and Bennet be able to find love?
Oh how I love returning to Savannah Springs! Bennett has been one of my favorite characters since the beginning of the series. Even though he is notorious for sleeping around and being a bit of a wild child, he has always been extremely caring and willing to help his friends. He has so much trauma from his past, but he was there for her from the get go (even after a not so great first meeting). He used his playboy persona to cover up his broken heart and insecurities, and I loved being able to see him open up to love again.
And McKenna! She might be my new favorite FMC from the series. She grew up with so much in terms of tangible things, but there was such a lack of love in her house. She grew up so different from Bennett, and it was wonderful to see her find a family with Bennett in Savannah Springs. She was able to let her hair down and experience life beyond what she ever could have imagined. I also loved being able to see her growth with Donovan, her brother. It feels like they’re both truly finding themselves in Savannah Springs!
Some of my favorite others bits - the groups texts (as always), the nickname “McKenna girl”, Dottie (aka the sweetest neighbor ever), and last but certainly not least - pegging jokes.
If you haven’t made the trip to Savannah Springs, what are you waiting for? A Little Bit Unexpected is out November 3rd!
McKenna Mae Wright is used to the fast life of New Year City so moving to Savannah Springs while her brother, aka Sir Donovan is healing from an attack is definitely putting her out of her element. Small town living is not what she thought it would be and total strangers letting her stay out of the kindness of their hearts? She's not used to that and didn't know that people like that existed. Now the playboy she's staying with, that she is used to and she's not going to let him into her heart or her bed if she can help it.
Bennett may be seen as a playboy but he has his reasons and only those closest to him know why. Determined to not get heartbroken again, Bennett will flirt all he wants but get close to lil miss Fancy Pants from NYC? No thank you especially since she is one of his close friend's sister.
Fate however wants to keep bringing them close together and once again, the author, Kelly O'Reilly is still going strong with her Savannah Springs crew of friends and forbidden romance behind doors. What starts as a fake date to help McKenna out of an awkward situation, Bennett can't fight what he feels but how can he let his heart be broken again. Both struggle with what they want and how they feel so why fight it?
I absolutely love the banter that Kelly writes between McKenna and Bennett. The strong friends grouping between both the females and the males of the group is once again written phenomenally! Elements from the first two books are also interwoven into this book and I don't know how she does it but Kelly keeps it all cohesive as you're like oh! That's what was happening during that scene! I can only imagine her storyboard and notes to keep it all straight because it's brilliantly written. Well done Kelly!!
I highly recommend this series and A Little Bit Unexpected, the third book in the series. It's available November 3rd so you have plenty of time to go read the first two books before this one comes out!
💭: 𝗪𝗢𝗪. Three little letters could never fully capture what this book did to me, but it’s the only word that came to mind the second I finished.
McKenna Wright - younger sister of “Sir” Donovan and heiress to multimillions - has been groomed to be the perfect NYC socialite. Her life is polished, curated, and completely transactional. She’s been checking every box on life’s to-do list without ever stopping to realize how empty and loveless it all feels.
Then there’s Bennett 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 Connelly. The guy everyone adores… and honestly, how could you not? He’s gorgeous, successful, hilarious, fun - the whole package. But behind that easy charm is a man carrying trust wounds so deep he keeps everyone (especially women… and there are 𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘺) at arm’s length.
A tragic moment and a wildly misunderstood encounter throw McKenna and Bennett into each other’s orbit, and suddenly all bets are off. Sparks fly. Walls crumble. And these two realize the other might be exactly what they’ve been missing.
Bennett absolutely 𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 me - in the best way. Watching his heart heal was so moving and unexpectedly tender. His authenticity, his birthday dates, the quiet ways he said “I love you,” his devotion to family… it was all so wholesome and refreshing that I kept clutching my kindle.
McKenna’s journey hit me too, but Bennett? He left a mark.
Kelly O’Reilly has this unmatched ability to pull you in, wreck you (lovingly), and then deliver a perfect happily ever after. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆. 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲. I’m so grateful for the chance to read this ARC - and I’ll be counting down the days until the next book.
Until February… I guess our little chats will have to hold me over. 💕📚
This book was so beautifully written. It has small-town charm, a reformed playboy, close proximity, found family, and so much more. I truly enjoyed every moment of it.
I love how Bennett and McKenna were both vulnerable with each other. The moment they realized they couldn’t be without one another was written with such tenderness, it completely melted my heart.
Bennett always knows the right thing to say to make McKenna feel comfortable. I thought I liked Donovan, although he wasn’t so likable in this book, but Bennett is amazing. I’m absolutely in love with him and he’s my favorite man in this series.
The author wrote about McKenna’s insecurities with so much care and understanding. Bennett’s feelings about loss and people leaving were so relatable and heartfelt. The descriptions were vivid and it felt like I was right there in Savannah Springs.
The found family element was beautifully written, and every supporting character added something special without taking attention away from the main characters. The dual POV made me appreciate both Bennett and McKenna even more.
Bonus point, I actually learned a lot of new words while reading this book.
The spice level is 3.5🌶️ and it is definitely through the roof.
This is my favorite book in the series. It is a solid 5-star read and I am recommending it wholeheartedly.
Thank you to the author for this amazing ARC. I can’t wait for everyone else to read it.
What a ride! Bennett and McKenna’s journey was full of push and pull, not because they lacked attraction, but because they both had their walls sky-high. They kept finding excuses to run from what they were clearly feeling.
Both had their reasons for avoiding love. They were hurt in different ways and didn’t know how to handle the emotions bubbling between them. But once they finally got out of their own way, it was obvious they had so much love to give each other.
Bennett was seriously misjudged for his playboy reputation, and I hated that because he never actually hurt anyone. Beneath that image was a total romantic. The dates he planned for McKenna? Bennett Conelly, THE MAN you are!
The spice between them was scorching! These two were pure fire in the sheets, and I loved how Bennett was all in for whatever McKenna wanted to explore. He validated her, made her feel confident, and worshipped her every step of the way. He was a giver—and he absolutely delivered.
I truly enjoyed this book. It’s the third in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. Still, I highly recommend starting from the beginning so you can fully enjoy the world and meet Maverick and Cora, and Audra and Donovan (McKenna’s brother). He’s actually the reason Bennett and McKenna meet, so you won’t want to miss any of their stories!
Huge thanks to Kelly for the chance to read this beautiful ARC!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Little Bit Unexpected by Kelly O’Reilly
There’s just something magical about returning to Savannah Springs! It’s like stepping into a world stitched together with warmth, community and the kind of love that sneaks up on you in the very best way. Kelly has such a gift for storytelling. She doesn’t just write characters, she ushers you right into their lives. The way she paints a scene, develops emotional arcs and builds that small town charm is immersive, heartfelt and powerful every single time.
Bennett and McKenna grabbed my heart immediately. Their chemistry, the tension, the softness layered under all the “oh no, we should not fall for each other” moments… it’s wonderful. Bennett is that quietly loyal, reformed playboy who would literally move mountains for her. And I adore, McKenna. She’s fierce, relatable and easy to root for. Watching them open up, trust again and fall, not fast, but deep, was lovely.
This story carries grief, hope, humor and the purest found family vibes. Savannah Springs isn’t just a setting, it feels like a place you live for a few hundred pages. Kelly writes with such warmth and emotional truth that you feel every moment right alongside her characters.
A tender, charming, feel everything romance that reminds you love often finds us right when we stop looking. I cannot wait to see what’s next in this world. Savannah Springs has my whole heart and Kelly’s writing makes sure it stays that way. ✨
Thank you to Kelly O’Reilly for the ARC of A Little Bit Unexpected, book three in the Savannah Springs series. All opinions are my own.
If you plan to dive into this series, I highly recommend reading the previous two books—especially A Little Bit Uncertain. While this can be read as a standalone, the earlier stories give great background that makes McKenna’s journey even more meaningful.
After her brother Donovan is stabbed in the previous book, McKenna heads to Savannah Springs to be closer to him. Her first encounter with Bennett is… less than ideal, but once they move past that rocky start, sparks (and plenty of chemistry) fly. Both characters have emotional baggage to work through, which makes their connection feel deeper and more real.
This one started a little slow, but once it picked up, it really took off. Kelly O’Reilly has a way of tossing in a surprise when you least expect it, and this story was no exception. The spice level was definitely kicked up a notch compared to book two, and the chemistry between McKenna and Bennett was top-notch. Plus, Dottie continues to be the lovable meddler we all adore.

"Thank you to Kelly for the ARC. This is my honest review.
The way I love the Savannah Springs series cannot fully be put into words. Filled with cinnamon roll MMCs who would do anything for their girls, friendships that are filled with love and comradarie, and a small town vibe that anyone would die for, the series has it all.
This is book three in the series, and I would highly reccomend reading the second before reading this one as the characters are events are extremely closely connected.
And listen, I know how many of us feel about the miscommunication trope, but the payoff is soooooo worth it!!! If you love small town vibes and found family, this is a must read for you!

𝐵𝓇𝒾𝑒𝒻 𝒮𝓎𝓃𝑜𝓅𝓈𝒾𝓈: After an accident leaves her brother hospitalized, McKenna flies down to Savannah Springs to help out. When she enters his hospital room, the man there tells her to leave, thinking she's just trying to shoot her shot. That man, is Bennett, one of her brother's good friends.
Despite the two getting off on the wrong foot, McKenna stays with Bennett and his twin brother while her brother heals from the hospital. The attraction between the two of them in undeniable, but Bennett's playboy ways might come back to bite him."
Bennett Freaking Connelly!! That’s the review guys….😂 Kidding. But seriously, this MMC was everything and more!!! This was my first read of Kelly’s and it did not disappoint!!! 💖
Super cute small town-charm romance! This one was filled with so much love, care, heartfelt moments, and spice - chemistry and heat 🔥. He definitely fell first and I absolutely loved the forced proximity and found family. The Group chats had me giggling 🤭. Bennett was honestly such a sweet MMC. I loved how he always knew what to say to make McKenna feel seen and just so special. His heart was pure gold and I was swooning multiple times 🫠. This story was beautifully written in general with so much care and tenderness regarding a few topics about loss, people leaving, and insecurities in general which made some things very relatable. I really liked this one and now have to go back and read the previous books in this series!
Lastly, the bowling scene had me kicking my feet and screaming YESSSS McKenna!!! 👏😆. I’ve always thought about the same exact things she did 🤢 🫣 (see the bowling slide) and I truly thought I was the only one that had these exact thoughts until now! 😂 I freaking LOVED her more from that scene on!!

Thanks to Kelly O’Reilly for sending me the e-arc to read and review. I completely fell in love with these characters.
A Little Bit Unexpected is book 3 in the A Little Bit series set in Savannah Springs, South Carolina. It follows McKenna as the FMC.
She is a bit of a fish out of water. She moved herself from NYC to this small town in SC after her brother Donovan was attacked. The community quickly embraced her much like they embraced Donovan when he first arrived.
One of the people in town that definitely embraced her was Bennett. He was the lovable playboy that allows McKenna to crash at the house that he shared with his twin brother.
Soon the tension ignites and really that’s when the story starts to unfold.
I really enjoyed this one and I truly enjoyed both main characters. Bennett was so cute when he kept fumbling his own words around her. He was the typical smooth talker with women but around McKenna, all bets were off.
Another fun and heartwarming small town romance from Kelly!

This is the third book in the Savannah Springs series and is Bennett and McKenna's story. McKenna comes to town from NYC to help her brother with his business while he is in the hospital recovering. Her and Bennett end up getting off on the wrong foot when they first meet. But they can't fight the connection they have to each other. They both have their own baggage they are carrying which puts up some roadblocks between them.
Bennett Freaking Connelly. I was a little turned off by Bennett's behavior in the beginning of the book but I understand that it was just trying to convey his playboy lifestyle that he was living. When I found out the reason he never opened up his heart and only had one night stands I was crushed. But he knew McKenna was more. They each made mistakes but they both had so much growth throughout the book. I was so pissed at Sir Donovan (if you read the book, you know the moment I am talking about). But I was glad McKenna and Bennett were willing to fight for each other.
Overall, I loved their story and I am excited to read whatever comes next!
I loved stepping back into Savannah Springs for McKenna and Bennett’s story! McKenna comes to Savannah Springs to help her brother recover from a devastating injury and starts to get a taste of the small town life. The people that rally around her, including Bennett Freaking Connolly. show her that love and warmth are waiting - if only she will say yes.
Even though Bennett was in his “playboy” era, we quickly see that there is much more to him. His heart-wrenching back story and willingness to show up for his Kenna Girl tugged me in.
Kelly O’Reilly has a way of perfectly intertwining the emotional moments with banter and comedic relief. *Insert Bennett losing his phone in the lake after a grown man sized temper tantrum.* You’ll go from laughing to crying and back again before you even know what hit.
I adored Bennett and McKenna’s story and I cannot wait for the next book to see Murphy and Jules!
From the earlier books, I never would’ve pegged (iykyk 😏) Bennett Connolly as a gushy romantic, but here we are. This man is equal parts cinnamon roll and sin, and I was absolutely here for it.
He and McKenna have such a sweet, genuine connection. I loved watching her experience small-town life through his eyes and finally getting to live the moments she’d been missing in the city. Their story has warmth, tension, and just enough emotional punch to make me tear up a few times.
The way they work through conflict feels honest and earned, and once again, the Savannah Springs crew shines. The group texts, the loyalty, the way they show up for each other… it’s the best kind of found family. And Dottie? A total surprise favorite.
Also, tell me I’m not imagining it… this might just be the spiciest of the three books so far.
Big thanks to Kelly for the ARC of this one! I loved this one and I have truly loved all of the books in this series! I have been waiting for McKenna and Bennett's story and this one did not disappoint! If you like small town romance and romantic suspense books, I think this series as a whole is for you! I think that Kelly's books are on par with authors like Corinne Michaels and Catherine Cowles! This book follows the little sister of Donovan from book 2. McKenna is a New York City Socialite and when she comes into town to help take care of her recently injured brother she falls for Bennett after an admittedly rough start. They form a connection when she stays in his house along with him and his twin brother Murphy. This one has a little fake dating, some opposites attract, and so much more fun! It was the perfect romance with just the right amount of spice! Five stars!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of A Little Bit Unexpected after devouring the first two books in this series—and wow, Kelly has done it again. She takes readers on an emotional ride filled with smiles, tears, excitement, anticipation and plenty of laughter. This book should come with a warning label: “May cause excessive late-night reading.” I couldn’t put it down! The friendship banter, teasing and nicknames had me laughing out loud more than once. Kelly has such a gift for making genuine friendships leap off the page—the love, support, challenges and secret-keeping felt so real. By the end, I was not only deeply moved but also profoundly grateful for my own friendships and the people who make life brighter (and funnier) every day. This book—and this entire series—has my heart.
Well I have highly enjoyed each of the 3 books in this series! This one was a great ride with heat and spice just like the other two. I felt I was a part of that world due to great writing. I felt each ride of emotions the characters went through! Loved the sibling connections along with the chosen family bonds each character formed through the years, truly inspiring!
One of my favorite aspects of this authors writing is the amazing connection the friends make they show up and always have their backs whenever one is in need. Having those relationships in life make it worth living giving way to a great life! It’s a luxury not all get to experience in life!
Definitely recommend this series!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Omg! I LOVE BENNETT FREAKING CONNELLY! I absolutely loved everything about this book! Bennett and McKenna were endgame and absolutely perfect for each other. Bennett was a total playboy before McKenna strolled in and took his heart. There were soo many swoon-worthy moments. Who knew that Bennett, the playboy, was such a romantic?
McKenna found her people in small town Savannah Springs and it was sweet how everyone automatically made her feel like she truly belonged there. This book is definitely my favorite and the spiciest in the series so far.
Favorite quote: You are on my heart, you are in my heart, you are my heart.
Thank you Kelly O’Reilly for the ARC. All thoughts are my own.
I love when it’s time to go back to Savannah Springs!
Thank you for the ARC! Kelly has knocked it out of the park once again. I adored this book just as much as the rest of the series. I will continue to say this book has one of my favorite found family groups ever. Their group chats are just the absolute best. I loved getting to know more about McKenna. Of course there was Bennett freaking Connelly. I already loved him in the other books and just love him so much more now. Their love was real and raw. I loved watching them grow and heal together. I love this series with my whole heart and I cannot wait for Jules and Murphy. 5 ⭐️’s.
Thank you to Kelly O’Reilly for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team. This is my honest review.
This is my first read in the standalone, interconnected series, “A Little Bit”. However, this is book 3 in the series. Other than feeling a little overwhelmed with all the characters in the first few chapters, I didn’t feel like I needed to read this in order. The nicknames threw me at times but this book has a lot of nicknames for everyone. Savannah Springs only has all the good traits of a small town. McKenna was so sweet and although there was a small miscommunication at one point, our heroes quickly pull through. Bennett is exactly my type 😆 I love a reformed playboy who’s always been a great person, but has his reasons for not wanting anything serious. The characters were a good mix of realistic and dramatic for the plot. The best part of this book were the text messages. I love that it’s relatable where the friends are all messing around but also pushing each other in the right direction. Is this club exclusive? Bc I want to be friends with them too!
I absolutely loved this book! As the third in the series, it somehow keeps getting better and McKenna and Bennett might just be my favorite couple so far. Their chemistry is electric, their banter is perfection, and the emotional moments hit all the right places.
Kelly O’Reilly delivers that perfect balance of swoony romance, laugh-out-loud humor, and heartfelt depth that makes it impossible to stop reading. I found myself fully invested in their story from page one, cheering them on all the way to the end.
If you’re already hooked on the series, this one is a must. And if you haven’t started yet, trust me, you’re in for something special. 💕📚
Thank you, Kelly, for giving me an opportunity to be an ARC reader!
Being back in Savannah Springs was such a treat with Bennett and McKenna! Was not expecting that I was going to have a new favorite couple from this series, but I do! McKennas transition from high society NYC to small town feel was just so good. Having Bennett get his chance for true love after understanding his past more in depth, made it even better to root for these characters.
I love how you can also get glimpses of the main characters from the two previous books and how they are doing! Can’t wait for the 4th book! Knocked it out of the park again, Kelly! Way to go
I absolutely loved this book! Savannah Springs is easily one of my favorite places to be. The small-town charm, the found family friend group, and the way Kelly O’Reilly writes their connections is perfection.
I’ve loved Bennett from the beginning, but him and McKenna together completely stole my heart. I didn’t expect to love them as much as I do. Their chemistry, banter, and emotional depth is top tier!
If you’re looking for a book that gives you all the warm, small-town feels with characters you can’t help but root for, A Little Bit Unexpected is exactly what you need. I’m already counting down until I can go back to Savannah Springs again!
>> ARC REVIEW << • A Little Bit Unexpected : 9/10 • First off I’d like to thank the author - Kelly O’Reilly - for allowing me the opportunity to be an early reader. I love reading and I know these books are your babies so I truly appreciate the opportunity. 🤍 • McKenna and Bennett’s banter has got to be my favorite. Probably because it reminds me a lot of my boyfriend and I. I love the entire family dynamic with all these friends and that sweet southern charm/hospitality. The spice was on point. 👌🏼 And I can’t forget about sweet old Dottie that takes no shit. 😆 I looked forward to anything to do with Dottie.
I love Bennett freaking Connelly! The story of Kenna and Bennett was absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed my trip back to Savannah Springs and following this couple’s relationship blossom. McKenna, Sir Donovan sister, comes in to Savannah Springs to take care of him while he recovers after a traumatic event with his girlfriend, Audra. Little does she know she would find her person in Bennett, the man with the reputation. But underneath it all Bennett has his walls up because of his prior relationship. If you’re looking for small town romance and new found family this is for you! Kelly is definitely one of my new found favorite authors!

I have loved this series so much and this book may be my favourite!
I loved both Main Characters. Bennett the MMC was everything I love in a MMC, Caring, funny and the way he cared for McKenna was everything. Watching them both together had me smiling to myself throughout. McKenna is such a strong FMC but she grew up in a home that wasn't filled with love.. so seeing her find that with Bennett and everyone else made me so happy.
I loved seeing the characters from the other books, i loved the found family aspect and the group texts had me smiling and laughing so much!
Ohh and the spice was spicing!
ARC read. Thank you to Kelly for the chance to read this amazing story.
