Parenting is such a Dragon lark, until it isn’t. By his scales, who thought that furnishing his progeny with such an excess of personality was a good idea? And surely, surely, that’s not his fault.

Now his precious, precocious teenager has gone missing.

A dark magic rooted in the past stalks his family and Thundersong is on the warpath. This time, those Terrors have gone too far. Attack his children? Steal his joy? It is time for Dragon fires to rise!

Queen Azania is all for adventure, just as soon as she’s assigned all the babysitting duties to her husband. Together, the intrepid duo will unmask a vast, chilling evil and deal with the greatest threat Solixambria has ever seen. Snort! Snarl! Worse, some young upstart wants to romance his feisty warrior daughter and a Dragon Dad has many ideas about how to deal with suitors – sliced, diced, fricasseed and thoroughly tenderized being his stand-out favourites.

Oh, the existential agony of answering questions such as, ‘Why do children have to grow up?’ Jolly contrary teenagers, just when he thinks he’s the one doing the rescuing … they’re teaching him lessons. The nerve!

Get ready to fly away on another side-splitting adventure with Azania and Thundersong in Book 6 of Dragon Fires Rising. Don’t spill your hot coffee. Put down anything sharp. Consider yourself warned, you are in grave danger – laughter-related injuries are real.

His latest releases are Khyrial and the King, an absorbing Fantasy Romance and the hilarious epic fantasy Call me Dragon which won gold in the 2021 IPPY Book Awards for best Fantasy novel.

I love this series but, this episode has a huge need for a proofreader. Some sentences were so confusing I couldn’t determine their meaning. Thundersong is just as witty and entertaining as usual while the plot is great. I recommend the entire series but warn it should be read in order written to omit confusion and spoilers.
