Being a tightly knit Italian/American family, their lives were intertwined, but Paula never fully realized how emotionally attached she was to her "Johnny," her father. His one dream of going to Italy where his beloved parents came from was never realized.
Eventually, the author took a heritage trip, and while in Italy compelling events happened. Was he there with her?
