The Naughty or Nice Deal

Rate this book
My billionaire boss needs a fake fiancée for Christmas. His two best friends want to unwrap me like a present…

When I try to quit my job working for three demanding CEOs, Ford Kingsley—my cheating ex’s hotter older brother—offers me a deal instead.

He needs a fake fiancée to convince a potential investor that he’s settled down, and I need money to pay off my crushing debt. Two weeks of pretending to be madly in love at his family’s estate, and we’ll both get what we want.

But being stuck in a mansion with Ford and his unfairly sexy business partners, Gabriel and Hayden, is more complicated than I bargained for. Especially since my asshole ex is there too, suddenly acting like he wants me back now that I’m “taken.”

Even worse, it’s hard to remember it’s all pretend when Ford kisses me like he means it. When Hayden finds me alone at night and tells me exactly what kind of man I deserve. When Gabriel walks in on me in a very compromising position… and decides to stay.

It might be cold outside, but the tension between me and my three ex-bosses could melt every snowflake for miles—and when they suggest sharing me for the holidays, I’m shocked by how much I want to say yes.

I’ve spent my whole life trying to be nice…

But what if this Christmas, being naughty gets me everything I’ve ever wanted?

This is a spicy holiday romance featuring three gorgeous bosses, one fake engagement, lots of sharing… and a very inappropriate use of a candy cane. It is a complete standalone!

I really enjoyed this sweet and spicy Holiday read. Maeve is our FMC. Her fellas are her three workaholic billionaire bosses Ford, Hayden and Gabriel. She's been their executive assistant for 2 years after her engagement to Ford's younger brother (Liam) ended.

I liked this more than I thought I would. I really enjoyed Maeve as the FMC. I was listening to the audio of this and sometimes mixed up the MMCs despite the narrator having different voices for each of them. One of them had a French accent so he was easy to tell apart. I still enjoyed the audio, in spite of this. The story had good pacing and was engaging. It felt cozy and spicy at the same time.

Maeve impulsively puts in her two week notice. Ford, not wanting to lose her, hides out in her apartment and accosts her. He proposes she pose as his fake fiancee to help them get a deal done. She agrees. Fake relationship and Christmas shenanigans ensue.

This is a medium burn. There is a bit of spicy bits before this but the first actual sex scene is around 48%. It's pretty spicy from there on out. It's always interesting to me to watch harems form when the men didn't have a prior arrangement or agreement to share. There was no jealousy in the harem. There was jealousy outside the harem. Hayden (I think) sees an OM flirting with Maeve and gets bent out of shape. There is also some friction with Liam, Maeve's former fiance. He even kisses her at one point before she has a chance to realize it's not one of her guys. He's definitely the antagonist in the story.

There is a relationship hiccup caused by Liam in the 3rd act but the group overcomes it, of course. There's a nice epilogue. NO OW drama and no cheating.

A spicy holiday RH. All the men were gone for her and put her on a pedestal. I just found this way too boring. The first 20% or so is what she does every day at her job. A bit boring. The fact that they thought shes a saint and 'not like other girls' because she thanked the stewardess was a bit ridiculous. If you want something fluffy and fast this is for you.

An R/H Christmas bonanza!

Maeve, works for three stunning billionaires but finds her job has become mundane and she wanted more from her life, dreams she wants to see come to fruition. This being said it won’t be easy as she has debts, but still she hands in her resignation, one of her bosses offers her a deal she can’t refuse as it will go towards her expenses for her dream job. To pretend she’s is fiancée for his family holiday celebrations, she accepts so along with Ford and her two other bosses she sets off. Will it all come crashing down? Will this Christmas be the last family she will celebrate with?

🎀 𝘚𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘨𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘵𝘺? 𝘉𝘶𝘵—𝘸𝘩𝘺? 𝘐’𝘮 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘤é𝘦.🎄

It’s an ok Christmas read, I found it a tad slow before we got any action 😜, there is a smidgen of angst but that comes nearer the end of the book. Her Christmas wish of having all three guys does happen, so there is a lot of spicy times and ultimately a HEA.

This book was easy to get into. At first, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like it but I actually really enjoyed the story. I had no idea like always going into it what it was going to be about and as soon as the first few pages hit, I knew she was gonna fuck all of them. I really enjoyed reading about their relationship dynamic and glad she didn’t end up with only one.

Lastly, fuck Liam.

Waiting for 3 black Amex cards to be handed to me… I’m in the wrong career field. Also guess I’m not done but the sex was good and not cringey.

Sometimes a book just hits right and this one checked all the boxes I was looking for right now. I was apprehensive about how long it was but in the end, I didn’t hate it.

The female narrator was great! She had voices for everyone. The male narrator left a lot to be desired. He has a great rumble low voice, but he didn't try and make his 3 main characters sound different. There were a few times in the story where all 3 men were texting and it wasn't easy to tell who's texts were being read.

Overall I enjoyed the story. I wished we gotten more of the guys perspective, but over all it was an enjoyable read. The spice was nice.

Could have been great. Communication is key

I am a sucker for Christmas and start getting into the spirit from November hence why I was attracted to this themed book.

This is a reverse harem book about an Executive Assistant for three billionaires and CEOs of a shared company. One of the bosses is the brother of her ex fiance That same boss needs a fake fiancée for 2 weeks at Christmas to close a business deal. Cue family holiday extended visit.

What made sure that I was never invested in this book was collaboration and agreement. It wasn't until 60% in that the all the main characters got in the same room and said that they wanted a poly relationship. Until that point the FMC made vague references to fancying each of the bosses. By that time she had been intimate with all three.
When she then concluded that perhaps this new development would change the MMCs dynamic and friendship, after conveying this, promptly had sex with one of them.
At that point I knew I was out; skipped to the epilogue to see the HEA.
Well written, some great scenes including the credit cards. But couldn't get my head around the fact that she didn't consider prior to the Christmas holiday that any of the bosses were attracted to her. Even a bystander could have seen this. The boss who consistently disrupted her dates, the other one who ate her food and the French one, who would get her takeout when she worked late. Anyway, she was so invested that even when ill she would turn up to work. She would leave a date and go back to work knowing there was no priority work needed that evening. The list goes on.

I read a similar Christmas story recently which involved a road trip. MMCs were brothers best friends of the FMC. She had to go home for the holidays, they decided to join her because they'd wanted to fulfil her desire for a more fun sex life. Previous boyfriend was meh and bad for her self esteem. This was believable because there was communication prior to sex. Every knew who they were attracted to and it was clear what the parameters were.

Group communication and consensus was lacking in The Naughty or Nice Deal and too many 1:1 scenes with FMC and a MMC Which led to confusion and doubt from the FMC. Really it felt like the worst kind of cheating in a monogamous relationship, with a friend or relative.

2.5 ⭐️

This one started out like it was going to be such a win. I was fully prepared to settle in, vibe with the whole setup, and fall for this group of guys right alongside the FMC. And honestly? I did like the guys. All of them. That part was easy. But somewhere along the way, the rest of the book… kind of lost me.

Maeve came in strong — witty, capable, totally on top of her job — and I thought, “okay, we’ve got a heroine with her life together.” And then, out of nowhere, she decides to drop everything and quit her job with zero plan, zero buildup, zero… anything. It felt less like character growth and more like whiplash. From that point on, her whole arc got progressively more chaotic, and not in the fun romcom way. More like, “girl, what are we doing?”

And listen, I’m not the person who complains about length or extra detail. I’ll happily wander through a 600-page slow burn if it’s giving me something. But this? This dragged. On and on and on. Every little thing got stretched out, especially Maeve’s insecurity about her body. It wasn’t just mentioned — it was repeated, circled back to, and then brought up again. And again. To the point where it stopped feeling relatable and just became exhausting.

The Christmas events Ford’s mom planned didn’t help either. Those scenes felt endless, like we were trapped in a holiday montage that refused to fade out. Cute at first, then suddenly never-ending.

And the smut… I wanted it to save things. Truly. But it just wasn’t strong enough to outweigh everything else. Instead of chemistry, I kept getting these oddly platonic vibes in the beginning that never built into anything meaningful. The tension never landed, so when the relationship finally tried to go there, it just felt forced. Like, “oh, right, this is supposed to be spicy now.”

By the time I hit a couple of eye-roll-inducing moments, I knew I wasn’t going to recover. And it bums me out, because the guys were genuinely great characters — I could’ve rooted for them so hard. But Maeve? I just couldn’t get past her long enough to enjoy the rest. Rounding up to 3 stars only because I liked the guys.

This was such a good read! It's funny and has all of the holiday spice in this RH!

Maeve had dated Ford's brother Liam. Liam was the worst boyfriend and when Maeve broke it off, Ford offered her the job of executive assistant for him, Hayden and Gabriel. These workaholic CEOs all have different grumpy personalities but Maeve handles them all like a champ. Maeve has a take no sh!t attitude and stands up to them like a boss. The banter between these characters is hilarious. She knows these men well after working for them for the last 2 years--or so she thinks.

Maeve is a bit insecure and kind of freaks out on herself and decides that she needs to make a drastic change in her life. Being stuck in the same position for 2 years she decides she needs to quit and impulsively acts on that decision. At the same time/day, the men have a deal that will be good for their company's growth but in order to secure the deal with the "old-fashion, conservative" CEO of the company, one of them needs to get engaged/married and Ford is it. So, when Maeve bursts into Fords office and gives her notice, Ford is shocked and even scared so he lays out his proposal for a fake engagement to keep Maeve around and fulfill the plan to secure the company's deal. But this will also entail 2 weeks or so at his family's mansion with her ex, Liam and of course Hayden and Gabriel.

There are some twists and turns to how this plot and these four come together. I loved each and every character in this story and how they all worked together. I went into this mostly blind and was so not disappointed at all. Each of the men did harbor feelings for Maeve prior to this arrangement which was refreshing. This was a fast moving story with a lot going on. Nothing got boring or slow even if Maeve's inner dialog about how she felt towards her situation was repeated a bit too often.

A very surface level, boring read. The book was somehow both 100 pages too long and yet not long enough to provide proper information to support the characters. The lack of details for certain characters and back stories made the chemistry and dialogue a bit wooden for me.

We are led to believe that the 3 co-CEOs are childhood best friends like brothers, but we barely get any banter between them until you’re about 40% through. It makes it difficult for the reader to feel their connection & loyalty since the interactions felt vague at times. Their POVs also felt short and dry. This is the first time I didn’t really care for multi-POV because we were only given bread crumbs of thoughts and feelings.

Maeve (FMC) was written with no substance. At first, it felt like we didn’t have any information to get a better understanding of Maeve’s choices. The random decision to quit being the assistant of the 3 MMCs felt so abrupt, it didn’t make sense why her character (who is in substantial debt because of her Mom) would make that decision without a plan B implemented. Since the reader isn’t told about Maeve’s dreams to open her own restaurant until later, we have no understanding of her drive. What is driving her to want to branch out on her own and quit her job?

In the beginning, we are introduced to her “best friend” Allison, who recommends the FMC do a boudoir shoot to build back up her confidence. Why? We don’t even get the scene of her at the shoot, just her receiving the pictures at work and one of the MMC finding them… But they only have a brief conversation about it and it’s never brought up again. Why wouldn’t Gabriel tell her how the pictures made him feel once they started hooking up? She was embarrassed and thought he was disgusted by them, but why doesn’t he tell her what he actually thought of them once they started getting closer? Or how Ford (MMC/co-CEO) and his Dad don’t get along because Ford ventured out of the family and used his trust to build an empire with his 2 friends. A family business for Ford to work at is never mentioned so why isn’t the Dad more proud of Ford’s individual success?

There were so many unanswered questions that I had to stop asking just to get through this book. It was anticlimactic, had unnecessary filler information and kind of a bore. The only thing that gave this book a second star is that the spice was enjoyable, due to the fact that you don’t need much depth to write those kind of scenes.

I am giving The Naughty or Nice Deal by Callie Rose four stars.

This was such a fun read. I went in expecting a quick spicy holiday read and ended up liking it way more than I expected. It’s cute, chaotic, festive, and spicy. Maeve is super easy to root for, and her dynamic with her three billionaire bosses, Ford, Hayden, and Gabriel, was honestly so good. The tension was tensioning, the banter was bantering, and the low-key obsession energy? Loved it.

The plot is full rom-com chaos. Maeve quits, Ford panics, a fake engagement is born, and suddenly it’s Christmas with way too much close proximity. The pacing worked really well for me personally. It’s a bit of a slower burn at first, but once the spice hits, it hits. Medium burn.

Now…Liam. I hated that man. Truly. Every time he showed up, I wanted to jump through the pages and punch him in the face. He was annoying, entitled, and exactly the kind of ex that makes you sigh aggressively while reading. Which honestly just means he was written well, because he did his job as the antagonist perfectly.

What really made this book for me was the group dynamic. No jealousy between the guys, just good communication, shared devotion, and of course outside drama causing all the problems. Each MMC felt distinct and swoony in his own way, and picking a favorite was impossible. The side characters and friendships added some really fun moments as well that balanced out the spice and made the story feel warm instead of spice heavy.

Overall, this was a playful, spicy holiday read with just the right amount of chaos, heat, and humor. If you’re in the mood for a festive why-choose with billionaire bosses and fake dating antics, this one delivers.

What’s better than one dirty-talking billionaire boss?
Three.

And when those three just so happen to be best friends and quietly obsessed with you? Honestly, say less.

I really enjoyed this story and loved all three MMCs—and no complaints whatsoever about the spice 😏 The dynamic between Ford, Hayden, and Gabriel worked so well that picking a favorite felt impossible. They were each swoon-worthy in their own way… although I will say, if anyone tried to eat my food the way Ford ate Mave’s, I’d be throwing hands immediately.

I also loved how quickly Lydia befriended Mave. Their relationship was such a bright spot, and I especially enjoyed the idea of Lydia calmly schooling her parents on poly relationships. I picture a full PowerPoint presentation complete with handouts and a Q&A slide 🤣

Overall, this was a fun, spicy holiday read that delivered exactly what it promised—heat, heart, and just enough humor to keep things light.

Why settle for one man when you can have three?

Mauve has had it with her bosses and not having a life of her own, so she decides to quit on a whim so she can start living her life. Only, they don't want her to go. Ford, one of her bosses comes up with a plan. Mauve can play his fiancée for the holidays to help them close a deal and he'll pay her. Only, Mauve was once engaged to Ford's brother and this may get awkward. It was all supposed to be fake and only with Ford, but Gabriel and Hayden are just as irresistible and outside the office, are really nice guys. It was then supposed to stay a secret so the guys could get their deal. But lingering looks and not too private liaisons get them caught by none other than Mauve’s ex. So how will everyone react?

Mauve and her men get their happy ending in this standalone book.

The only thing that would have made the spicy scenes hotter would be if the guys were also together! And for how long they’ve been best friends, I find it hard to believe they’ve never shared someone before. I loved how they all just wanted to build Mauve up and give her the world without knowing her circumstances and when they did, they wanted to even more. I do wonder what Ford would have done when he hired Mauve if he knew then that his brother cheated on Mauve because it wouldn’t have been the same reaction as finding out when he was in love with her.

This was a good one, I devoured it in one day. I am such a sucker for billionaire, RH, fake marriage books. Idk why I’m like this but I love them all 🤭😂😈

I really like this one, and honestly the guys were so sweet. Love me some men who obsess over a curvy MFC and treat her like a queen.

The fake marriage was not annoying, which is refreshing bc sometimes it’s like UGH BFRRN, and also I cannot even lie, the thoughtfulness around her being color blind made me SWOON. Like changing out all the red and green decorations for some that she can appreciate?! HELLO?! Just kill me now. I’m a goner. That was so cute and I literally am obsessed with that.

Loved the dynamic between these four, and the relationship the three men have is so cute. I love that they’re besties and also that they’re so fineeeeee. Also can I just say that SCENE AT THE PARTY? Ugh yum, loved that. Must be nice to be the literary gods favorite woman hahahahaa

Callie Rose somehow never disappoints and I’ll probably always read her books when I happen upon them because they’re always delicious 🤭🔥

holy smokes, actually think this is the hottest book I've read this year.

This is so freaking good, it's insane. The steam to relationship to plot to pining ratio should be studied. literally just fantastic. All the characters were delightful and well rounded.

Workplace/Boss(es)
RH
Billionaire(s)
Christmas
Fake Relationship
One-Bed
He is obsessed
Grumpy/Sunshine
Plus size FMC
—and surely a dozen others I am forgetting

My one complaint, because it was a plot hole, is what happened with

Read this book!!!!!!!

This book was exactly what I was needing. Something light and surface level, then add in the holidays, and it was good. I ended up throwing my last 2 books into the dnf pile, so I was needing something just like this to get me back in the groove.

The book started out great. It seemed to be a slower burn, and she had good rapport and banter with the guys. But then once they started sleeping together, it all just seemed to change. The guys just lost all personality and were all just boring.

This book went on for too long, too. There were too many unnecessary ssexy scenes and too much repeated sentiments. I just got bored at the end and just skimmed through the rest just to finish.

If you are are wanting something festive and light, this is for you
I am not going to read it again, though.

I couldn't help but love Maeve (FMC) from the very start of this book. She's PA to 3 demanding bosses - Ford, Hayden & Gabriel who take up big chunks of her life/time including dating times. I loved how she gave as good as got though and her banter with Hayden had me laughing at times.

One resignation and one job opportunity (as Ford's fake fiance) that should settle all of her debts that led Maeve into all sorts of complications. I really liked the dynamic that Maeve had with the guy's. I also liked the gradual build up too any steaminess between them. It gave us more time to find out more about each guy and why they were how they were? I really enjoyed reading this book and I loved all the main characters in it except Liam (obviously lol).

Another Fantastic Story

Maeve is definitely the perfect administrative assistant to three powerful men. Ford, Hayden and Gabriel all could not function without her keeping them and their schedules in line. When little things start happening and Maeve is made an offer to be a fake fiancee to help with a big client, she goes in with both feet. All three of the men have fallen head over heels for her at some point, and sharing her amongst them is now the thing. She goes with it, because she has managed to fall for them all as well. Fords brother Liam, and Maeve’s ex tries to step in and ruin everything, and she puts him in his place. Ford, Hayden and Gabriel all agree on the one thing that’s makes life worth living and that is Maeve. What a fantastic story!

Personally, I found this book funny 😁
I was not expecting a three way marriage but I mean come on, if Satoru Gojo, Sasuke Uchiha, and Kakashi Hatake would look at ME that way, I would be exactly where I want to be.
Im very immature and giggle at anything and everything so when these people where having their 3 way, or is it 4 way?? Anyways, when Maeve was shared among all three at the same time, my pea sized brain could only think about how Hayden’s balls were dangling on Gabriel’s face lol and how Ford and Gabriel’s dingalings must have also been clapping 😂😂😂 and vice versa when they would switch positions. 💀💀💀
After that I just wanted to finish this cuz I couldn’t take anything serious 😂😂
Overall giving this a 3.5 but rounding down to 3 lololol

A wonderful unexpected surprise 😍

I love RH books, they are my absolute favourite!
But this book just made me feel all kinds of different!!!
Maeve may just be the person I wanna be when I grow up. Just a wonderful human being who has been dealt the worse but always gives the best. She showed what an amazing person she was right from the beginning.
I’m usually all about the guy praise but she was my star in this book.
Really well balanced with the story, not to much or too little of everything, but that candy cane 🤤 I wonder what happened with it 🤣
Callie Rose, write some more like these this was perfection!

Maeve has been the assistant to the three bosses of her company for two years now. She has everything down perfectly. Now is the perfect time to go for her own dream, right? Except, they don't want her to leave and need her to be one of their fake fiance. Just attend a few meetings and go home with them for Christmas. To spend it with her ex... what could possibly go wrong?
This was a fun, steamy, and sassy read. This was a great way of writing an MFMM. They hadn't shared before and they all want her. She has some doubts, but isn't extremely self-deprecating. She isn't afraid to put them in their place when it is needed.

Review

The texts are a wonderful addition, and even more important: in far too many books, the author relies on a miscommunication between the main characters for drama. Even worse, said miscommunication leads to insults being directed at one of the main characters, usually the woman, that are so bad I have a hard time wanting them to reconcile.

Here, the author chose a secondary character to stir things up, thus preserving my interest in the main characters staying together.
