First to Fall dives deep into the mind of a morally grey, psychologically unraveling protagonist, and it definitely delivers the unsettling atmosphere that psychological-thriller readers look for. Harper Rowan isn’t afraid to explore darker motives, revenge-driven choices, and the blurred line between justice and obsession. Thriller fans will definitely enjoy the tension and intensity of the character’s spiral.
I appreciated the intensity and the unique perspective this story offers. Readers who enjoy darker, character-driven thrillers will find a lot to dig into here. This book takes risks, and I think fans of twisty, character-driven thrillers will really respond to it.

This reminded me a little of Black Mirror... I love how deranged and unhinged the main character was, but also figuratively eating popcorn to see what she did next... Excited to see more from this author!

I love a quick read! Devi is positively UNHINGED.
This book grabbed me from page one and did not let go. It’s dark, fast, messy in the best way, and completely addictive. Devi is the kind of character you don’t know whether to root for or run from, and that’s exactly what makes her so compelling. The tension builds quietly and then suddenly punches you in the throat with an ending I did not see coming.
Short chapters, sharp writing, and the perfect amount of chaos. If you love psychological thrillers with morally questionable women and revenge that goes way deeper than expected, First to Fall is absolutely worth it.
