One night with a perfect stranger isn't supposed to destroy your sense of self. But when Lilya met the handsome, devastatingly charming masked man at the House of Midnight Pleasures, their instant chemistry made her rethink...everything she thought she knew about herself. And then he got called away before they could exchange numbers, or even names.
Diego has spent nine months searching for the unforgettable blonde who appeared out of the blue one night like an answered prayer. After one very spicy game of strip poker (minus the poker), he had plans for how to get to know her a whole lot better. But as owner of Morris Manor, duty called him away, and when he rushed back, she'd vanished without a trace. Like his own personal Cinderella.
So why is it that despite being richer than God and having connections with the most powerful people on earth, he couldn't track down the one woman he's ever wanted to keep?
He doesn't care how much money or time it takes. His only goal in life? Cherchez la femme.
Find the woman.
Ghosted at Midnight is a 2-hour short read with a spicy masquerade ball, a missed connection, a one night stand, playful banter, and an HEA. It contains explicit love scenes and profanity.
I've been reading dirty books since I was old enough to smuggle them out of my mom's bedroom. I love men who laugh at women's jokes, women who refuse to budge (with a smile), and everyone who's ever visited their public library.
My first crush was Indiana Jones, and I've never recovered.
In this steamy novella our MMC is part owner of the lost exclusive s*x club, and although they can bring to life your every fantasy - he's missing something. He's bored, with no passion. Our FMC gets invited to one of their events through her best friend, but since they aren't actually high profile enough to get on the list themselves, they are using fake IDs. It works out great since it's a masquerade. But when she catches his eye, he realizes this is what's missing - her. Through some flirting they end up in a private room and have the start of an amazing night - but he's called away and she told her friend she would meet her at midnight. Will this be the end? Or will he be able to find his little star?
Another great read by Eve Brash, this one made it into my top 3: 1️⃣ Seduced before Sunday 2️⃣ Chased for one Night 3️⃣ Ghosted at Midnight
I loved his background story and why he calls her Little Star. I loved how she took charge of the situation, taking over their spicy games (and discovering how he was a bit of a foot man 👀).
🎭 Cinderella romance 🩷 masquerade ball (at a sex club 😏) 🎭 hidden/fake identity 🩷 golden retriever x black cat 🎭 hot banter, hotter games 🩷 instalove 🎭 missed connections
❌ the cover model does not match the MMC’s physical description (chest hair)
FAVORITE QUOTES ✍️ He would hunt her down until he found her, and then he would spend the rest of his life kneeling at her feet. ✍️ “If I don’t make love to you tonight, Lilya Novak, I think I might die.”
Mystery Man by Eve Brash is the first book of the House of Midnight Pleasures series. It is also the first book from Eve Brash. I loved it! I loved how Lilya and Diego met and the little nickname he had for her and then the reason why he called her that. I loved it so much I can't wait for more from the series and would love to read about what happens to their relationship. You know you’re reading a winner when you can’t put it down, but don’t want to finish it too quickly! This is a must read!.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really enjoyed this book. Short story and sexy as hell. Very well written and it tells the story from both main characters POV. They knew what they wanted and went after it.
