After being forcefully devoted to a wolf in sheep's clothing, Yanelle is happy to be free. Only now, she finds herself deliciously devoted to her knight in shining armor. The contrast of wanting to get out at any cost, to never wanting to leave, is so vast that Yanelle is left reeling from the one-eighty. She's hoping this time around, the man she entrusted her heart with won't let her down.

"I don't need gentle. I need you to own me." - Yanelle, moments before Zelle snatched her soul. If Shay Davis writes it, I’m reading it, always. DeliciousDevotion was a short novella length story that captured my interest from pageone. It was fast paced, ends with a happily ever after, and had me feigning for more of the characters. Yanelle had been a sex worker for six years, and she was at the age where she is less desirable, essentially “old”. There were plans being made for the future of Yanelle but fate made it to where Zeke and his brother intercepted the plans and not only saved Yanelle but two other women, Tisha and Sam. I am a sucker for this type of story - the kind where the MMC reminds the FMC that she is in fact- That Girl! And that’s what Zekedid, he poured into Yanelle, helped her to see her worth, and genuinely loved every depth of her heart. Whew. I love a good man. I thought Shay tackled the storyline well; I felt like the girls got justice for the pain inflicted upon them, and gained the family they deserved. I would have liked more of Tisha and Sam but I understand the focus was on Zeke and Yanelle. I am hopeful this isn’t the last of this group.
Zeke and Yanelle is that good good that fantasy’s are made of and I wanted more!
This story is a short but it gives so much as to who these characters are and what their plight is about. It’s enduring, romantic, sexy and has a bit of a dark danger plot with a menacing controlling kidnapping hostage funk to it but the hero saves the day and a few lives and he does it with style.
If you want a hero romance that’s a pressure cooker of hidden feelings that twitches and thumps, get into this book and explode with the passion of Zeke and Yanelle!
I downloaded this book free off of prolific works. Yanelle was in traumatizing situation for years. When Zeke came in and saved her and her friends. Yanelle wanted to put her guard down with Zeke, but due to her past she was scared to so. When she finally does their love becomes something beautiful. The book is very short so they fall in love fast. Definitely would recommend.
It only takes one person with power to not go along with the outrageous endeavors of others. That’s exactly the position Zeke finds himself in. While some nefarious activities should be expected given his lineage. He and his siblings believe in a different set of standards.
It doesn’t hurt that Yanelle has a fight in her that calls to Zeke sensitivities.
Zeke does what any man wouldn’t do, when seeing women in distress. After the initial threat is extinguished, feelings can no longer be ignored.
It’s a testament to how far you would go to secure the safety of someone you care for.
I really enjoyed this book! It was a quick read, but the story felt so full. I was hooked from the very beginning, its definitely a roller coaster of emotions. It just felt really intimate, and a great reminder that romance shows up in so many different ways. I loved Yanelle’s story. This was my first Shay Davis book, and I’m not disappointed at all. I’m super excited to dive into the rest of her work!
I really enjoyed this book. Yanelle deserved her happily ever after, especially after all she went through. Zeke was exactly what she needed. He was definitely her knight in shining armor. This was a quick read that packed so much into it. I enjoyed watching these two play coy about their feelings before acting on them. The spice was everything, honey. These 2 got it in. The side characters were interesting as well. I wouldn't mind a story on Sam and Cooper.
I enjoyed this book. I liked that Zeke helped Yanelle, Tish and Sam get their freedom and power back. I also liked the connection between Zeke and Yanelle.
