The central premise and the origin story storyline create compelling stakes, and the pacing keeps you engaged. The reveal at the end ties together threads that were woven throughout the story, leaving you eager for what’s next.
The romance leans more toward steady devotion than slow-burn tension. The MMC is protective, loyal, and unapologetically in love, which many readers will enjoy. While I personally gravitate toward more yearning-heavy dynamics, the emotional foundation between these characters is strong.
A promising start to what feels like a larger, thoughtfully constructed series.
