The best Nora yet!
Another entertaining and page turning story by Nick Harvey. Not only is Nora at her best, but we also have cameo appearances by AJ, Edvard and hopefully the soon to be newest member of the RCIPS!

Another Harvey Team Masterpiece?
Yes!
Once again, Nick has spun a tail worthy of our time, he entertains from start to finish. It's a dual case journey Nora is on. Our 'Viking' (see AJ Bailey inside) continues her growth she will make you laugh, hold your breath with her action, and unravel a Gordian knot of international crimes. Along the way, you'll meet very interesting characters, both good and evil. You're also going to find Wiley E. Coyote? Hmmm... I also think we may meet a new, future character joining the team, but that's just a gut feeling.
I read a lot, this being my 101st for the year, and over 700 the previous 4 years. My two favorite books this year involve Nora and Kat Cromwell. Many books have many editing issues, loose plots, and just a frustrating read overall. Of the dozens of books by the Harvey Team, not one has any issues. Side note, join Nick's newsletter and visit his website. If you love classic rock, you'll love the Luna and the Lanters storyline, part of the AJ Bailey series. Once you do the album by the group, it will be a must, like a greatest hits album of wonderful 🎶 🎵! Okay, go enjoy the journey, I've got to pre-order the 11th in this series (wow)!

Wow! What a fantastic book - such a great read!
The Nora Sommer series is a real breath of fresh air in this genre managing to combine clever story lines, suspense, action and plot twists alongside the humour that Nicholas Harvey successfully interjects into every thread of these novels, even including the chapter titles; exceptionally good writing.
These books never fail to lift my spirits and this one is no exception; the characterisation is brilliant, the scene setting transports me there and all of the almost incidental touches ensure that the reader feels invested and virtually a part of it - I sadly have to keep reminding myself that it’s fiction and there’s no point going looking for the iconic Edvard!
I certainly didn’t see that ending coming! The narrative is fast paced, thrilling and unpredictable.
As always, I’m already impatient for the next book and channeling ( or trying to suppress!) my inner Nora whilst I wait. In the meantime, I will re - read this one to enjoy it all over again having sped through it far too fast the first time round as it’s just too gripping to put down.

This latest Nora mystery is even more chilling and complex than her previous cases. If you enjoy a story where the “who” and “why” aren’t obvious from the start, this one will absolutely keep you guessing. Silent Sommer might be the most chilling book in the entire series. Not the flashiest entry, but arguably one of the most controlled and quietly intense. The stakes feel colder and more calculated. The introduction of Zephyr — a ghost-like gunrunner who erases loose ends — adds a suspenseful layer that pushes Nora into one of her most psychologically demanding cases yet. The pacing is tight, the atmosphere heavier, and the danger more personal. A strong 10th entry that rewards longtime readers with depth rather than spectacle.

Whew, a page turner!
Fast paced and a page turner, I read this book in one day! It was excellent , and I swear I could drive around Grand Cayman. I really enjoy Nora, Whittaker and Jazzy. And, let's not forget Edvard, the blue iguana. This one was two cases which turned out to be interconnected. I hope there's going to be a new female cop coming up as a character. Longly is her name, and she and Nora would be a perfect combo!

Well, now I've done it! I've waited weeks for this installment, read it in a day,. I could not put it down! This series is so intriguing, with .Nora trying to navigate language idioms, a foster kid and her boss. I love this series so much and now I have to wait...uggghhhh!.

A great book
Silent Sommer is an exciting story that highlights Nora’s expanding role as a detective. It includes a mix of humor and great action with enough twists and turns to keep the reader guessing. A great read.

Nora is a force to be reckoned with. And I like the new ladies Longly and Gemma. Really interesting stuff about the Port Authority and their scanner. Great storyline!!! We headed for Florida boss?

Nora’s Back!
