A bubbly intern and her grumpy billionaire CEO spark behind masks at a dazzling exclusive club in London, under the prying eyes of a notorious gossip forum.

Rey Hart is not a VIP, not even an IP, but working as Alice in Wonderland at this sensational masquerade, she feels like one. Tonight, she’s not a failed artist, not her mum’s biggest disappointment, and not just an intern. Tonight, she is whole and free as her truest self, and she dances like no one is watching.

But Mark Becker, behind the mask of Robin Hood, is watching, and his world is turned upside down by this vibrant woman.

Mark has one save the company his former friend and co-founder nearly brought down with his scandalous, atrocious actions.

But now his focus is shaken. As Alice and Robin, their phone conversations go from playful to addictive. Her joy is impossible to resist.

When he’s about to meet her, he’s instead met with the crushing truth.

Alice is Rey.

He should walk away. That would be the sensible thing to do. So why is he walking straight towards her and the one mistake he can’t afford to make?

Wildflower is book one of What Happens in Mayfair, but can be read as a standalone.

This is a dual POV, spicy romance with mature language—intended for adults.

ARC Review 📚✨️
Billionaire Romance | Forbidden Love | Found Friendships | Grumpy/Sunshine| Hidden Identity

"𝙄'𝙢 𝙖 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙛𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧. 𝙄 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙄 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙨𝙚, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙄'𝙢 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙."

Wowza!! What a debut from Eva Camden!
Billionaire romance usually isn't my go-to trope unless it’s from a trusted author, but the cover of Wildflower hooked me instantly and I’m so glad I jumped at the chance to be an early reader.

This book was fun, immersive, and enjoyable from start to finish. I loved that the story didn’t lean only on the billionaire element; instead, it delivered a bit of everything ~ tough family dynamics, meaningful friendships, and a beautifully layered romance. It’s spicy, funny, emotional, and drama-filled in all the right ways.

From masquerade parties that make you wish you were part of The Orion’s inner circle, to a Gossip Girl–style blog spilling all the tea, this story takes you on a ride. As a gamer, I enjoyed the deeper look into the gaming world, and the artistic element added so much flair and personality.

Rey’s sunshine/whirlwind energy is the heartbeat of this book. Watching her journey of self-discovery, love, confidence, and standing up for herself was such a highlight. The heavier topics were handled with care, balanced perfectly with humor that will genuinely make you laugh out loud. Mark’s journey from grumpy CEO to a man completely gone for his girl had me kicking my feet like a teenager.🥹 Definitely one of my favorite parts of the story. And then there was the big romantic gesture 🤭 bold, emotional, hilarious, sweet, and unforgettable. That moment absolutely made up for the third-act breakup.

This was an incredible debut and the perfect first installment in the What Happens in Mayfair series. I cannot wait to see what drama Eva brings us next!

✨ Thank you to the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. ✨

Wildflower is wonderfully written and absolutely hilarious!
Probably my favorite rom com book I've ever read. Definitely my only 5 star in this genre! (Not that I don't read them and appreciate them, they've just never been a 5 star).

There were so many parts that made me literally laugh out loud! Not the tiny, little out loud giggle. I mean, flat out LAUGHED!
My husband kept side eyeing me lol.
I ended up reading him a particularly funny excerpt, and as hard as he tried not to, even he found it funny with the very little context I gave him!

I LOVE the FMC, Rey! She is one of the best FMs I've ever read. I don't typically get attached to FMCs -especially in rom coms, but Rey is a bright ray of sunshine! (See what I did there lol)
She's freaking hilarious, incredibly strong and independent, but so chill.

The unique part of this story is actually the Blog posts. I really expected the blogger to play into a personal betrayal, or a side character of sorts. After reading and still having no idea who it is, I really appreciate that. It adds so much to the story, but takes nothing from it...if that makes sense.

I'm not 100% sure that Wildflower is the first in a group of interconnected standalones, but it's definitely set up to be. I really hope it is, because I can't wait to read more by Eva Camden. Especially if there is more of Mark's friends!

First I would like to say a big thank you to Eva for letting me be apart of this ARC Team!

What to expect when reading Wildflower;
-Billionaire Romance
-Hidden Identity
-Grumpy x Sunshine
-Age Gap
-Dislike x Lovers
-Forbidden Love

This is book one of the What Happens in Mayfair series! You get to follow Mark and Rey! Starting my review off I want to say don’t let people put you in a box, express yourself and loves thing you want to love, don’t let the outside noise keep you from shining. I say that because Rey to me is the queen of taking the bull by the horns and doing the things she loves. Mark is clean cut and I guess you could say opposites attract? Their story was so interesting and fun and reminds you to find someone who loves you for all your quirks🙌 I enjoyed every second of this book and I will say the epilogue was my favorite part, but it normally always is in books, but I definitely need an extended extended extended epilogue lol

Fav Quote:
•”Hi, Alice”
•”You look thinky”

4.5/5!

I absolutely loved this book! The hidden identity trope was so good!! It was so much fun and so different than what I normally read. For a billionaire romance, it did not feel unrealistic at all. I thought the spice was written in really well too—and you know how picky I am when it comes to spicy books! It is definitely good enough that I’ll get a shelf trophy! 🤩

I took a chance on this. The author literally DM’d me with a link to her book. I’ve been in a bit of a slump and haven’t had a good romance book in a while!! When I tell you I’m so surprised that this was a debut novel, I’m not lying! It was great!!

This is the authors debut novel and I gotta say, I’ve read books from seasoned authors and you would not be able to tell the difference. This is a cute and spicy hidden identity, forbidden, secret relationship, grumpy sunshine, with a 3rd act breakup, and HEA Romance. I laughed out loud a couple times and might’ve even leaked from my eyes a bit. But I enjoyed it and before reading the author’s note, I already felt like it was gearing up as a series! I was wanting to learn more about some of the MMC’s friends so I’m hoping they will get their own books! Can’t wait to read more of the Mayfair series

I received an ARC Copy of this book and all thoughts are honest and completely my own.

Rey is an almost 30 year old woman living with her brother, working a temp job and moonlighting as an atmosphere model, her days of being an artist far behind her. One night she gets booked for the event of a lifetime- a highly exclusive event at the most luxurious club in town with only VVIP’s in attendance, billionaires, royalty, and the most elite list possible. And the best part? It’s a masquerade, so everyone can let loose and hide behind their costumes! When she finishes her work as Alice in Wonderland the party is still in full swing, giving her time to bask in the beauty surrounding her. When a knight in shining armor, or should I say green tights, comes to her rescue she’s immediately smitten with Robin Hood. A night of talking, flirting, and a bit more, they exchange numbers. It feels like a fairy tale, but what happens when their opposite worlds collide?

This book was so much more than I expected. Rey’s journey of being lost in her career and life, struggling with the disappointment of her mother, and constantly searching for a way to find purpose and joy in life is incredibly relatable. So many of us today are looking for a purpose, a creative outlet, for space to be so completely ourselves.

The dynamic between Rey and Mark was a pleasure to read. I love when you see a friendship develop between love interests, and even more so when you see how they actually affect each other’s lives for the better. Mark, the MMC, being so dedicated to his work and company, working through new trust issues, and never considering the balance he needs for his life until Rey. We actually see him make those tiny changes (a 10 minute break in his day) and it feels so realistic. He can’t just run away or toss around his entire life, but he can make real changes to improve his daily life. And his relationship with Rey feels like genuine care, his complete acceptance of her, even with the aspects of her life he doesn’t fully understand and is even condemned by others. He wants her to be her entire creative, cheerful, messy self.

I’m really glad the author didn’t fall into the tired trope of “rich boy/poor girl” as if their class or wealth is impossible to get past. This felt like a genuine friction and issues that could happen today with the greater understanding and accountability we uphold for uneven power dynamics in workplace relationships.

Tropes: hidden identity, billionaire CEO, forbidden live, grumpy/sunshine

Number of Times I Wanted to Throw the Book Across the Room: 1 big one!

Did the Book Pass the “One More Chapter” Test? Yes!! This was too much fun to read to be put down.

Number of Emotional Roller Coasters: 3

Perfect snack pairing: champagne and an eclair

Character I Would Most Like to Have a Drink With: Kaia seems like she’d make a great friend!

Level of spice: 4/5 there are quite a few open door spicy scenes!

🌸 ARC Reader Confessional – Wildflower by Eva Camden 💋🔥

Oh. My. Heart. Wildflower is the kind of story that slips under your skin — tender, forbidden, and absolutely addictive. From the first chapter, I was gone — lost to the secrets, the slow burn, and the kind of chemistry that makes you forget to breathe.

Our heroine lives behind a mask, her hidden identity as delicate as it is dangerous. She’s strong in quiet ways, vulnerable in others, and every choice she makes feels like it could break her… or set her free.

And him? The untouchable billionaire who shouldn’t want her — but does. Fiercely. Desperately. Completely.

The tension between them is magnetic — that exquisite, dangerous kind of pull where every look feels too long and every touch feels like sin. And when it finally snaps? Sparks. Flames. Chaos. I was feral. 🔥

The longing. The restraint. The surrender. It’s all there — written with an emotional heat that lingers long after the last page.

Eva Camden’s writing is pure elegance laced with fire. Every word drips with emotion — heartbreak, desire, and that ache of wanting something you know you shouldn’t have. She makes the forbidden feel beautiful and the beautiful feel dangerous.

By the end, I was wrecked in the best possible way — heart full, pulse racing, and completely obsessed with these two.

Wildflower is a forbidden romance done right: lush, emotional, and sinfully unforgettable. 🌸

Wild Flower by Eva Camden is the kind of billionaire romance that sweeps you up from the very first chapter and refuses to let go. Packed with forbidden longing, hidden identities, and the irresistible grumpy/sunshine dynamic, this story delivers everything fans of slow-burn intensity and emotional payoff crave.
Mark and Rey are the beating heart of this book. You can’t help but fall for them—as individuals and as a couple. Camden crafts their chemistry with such care that every glance, every sharp exchange, and every stolen moment feels electric. Mark’s guarded demeanor paired with Rey’s warmth makes their connection not just believable, but inevitable. Watching their walls crumble is half the fun; watching them fight the pull is the other.
The world around them is just as compelling. From the high-pressure inner circle of their workplace to the luxe, intoxicating masquerade parties, Camden builds settings that feel immersive and cinematic. Each scene adds to the tension, glamour, and sense of danger that comes with keeping secrets while falling in love.
I found myself completely hooked—falling headfirst into the romance, the intrigue, and the emotionally charged push-and-pull between two people who were never supposed to want each other. Wild Flower is the perfect escape for readers who love passion with stakes, characters with depth, and a love story that burns as brightly as it blossoms.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-read for billionaire romance lovers.

📚BOOK REVIEW📚

Wildflower by @evacamdenauthor

Wildflower is a billionaire romance with a difference. I felt this was a really refreshing read and I enjoyed every second of this story. It was such a different take on the genre. It was fun, sassy, spicy and highly enjoyable.

Rey is literally a breath of fresh air. She has a sunshine persona and a real positive outlook on life. She wants to live life to the fullest and she is strong, fierce and I loved her sense of humour. She is so entertaining and a complete joy to read.

Mark is the grumpy CEO who is trying his best after his company is rocked by a scandal. He's dealing with the after effects of this and struggling as a result.

Rey is an intern at Infinio Games and Mark is the Boss therfore straight away there are forbidden elements to the romance.

I absolutely adored the side storyline as Rey is also an atmosphere model meaning she dresses up and is live entertainment at events.

Mark and Rey meet outside of work at a masquerade ball where Rey is working but gets to attend the after party and Mark is VVIP. Mark is dressed as Robin Hood and Rey as Alice in Wonderland. They are instantly drawn to one another and connect but when Reys shift is finished they agree to keep in contact. Exchanging messages as they develop a relationship. As this part is a secret identity they also start connecting in the work place not knowing that each other is the same person.

Amongst this there are secret blogs in a Gossip Girlesque way and it was just so much fun how it all unravels.

I really like how Rey was able to connect and get Mark to open up. It was a lovely element of the book as he is quite tortured. But their love story was beautiful. It was fantastically written and also like a love letter to London. I felt like I could envision the places so well.

I'm also so excited to find that Aiden, Mark's best friend is getting a book. This is a really exciting read from an exciting new author.

I devoured Wildflower in one day! I can’t resist a billionaire romance, especially one with tropes that feel like they were tailored for me. It had it all- a sexy broody billionaire, a beautiful FMC that felt like sunshine personified, hidden identities, and a couple with chemistry so hot, you’d think they would ignite. Rey is an artist, a free spirit who finds joy in the little things and in a sexy stranger dressed in tights “Robin Hood”. She struggles with her mothers overwhelming expectations and just wants to be accepted. Mark is a workaholic who is struggling with his company due to a scandal and has forgotten how to enjoy the small pleasures in life. When they meet, it's like the universe brought them together, even though their coming together brings equal amounts of drama, heartache and joy. They are perfectly matched; they are exactly what each other needed but didn't know. I highly recommend this book.

Loved this debut novel. The writing is so good you would expect it to be an established author. A mysterious secret identity character, lots of wit, laughs and flirty fun! I was immediatly drawn to the premise of the book and was super excited to have an ARC opportunity.
Rey & Mark both very different. Rey quite confident in herself but lacking work opportunities lives a carefree more laid back attitude. Mark a grumpy billionaire, has lost one of his best friends due his dubious scandalous ways with some staff members.
Rey brings out Mark's fun side as he has always been more serious since taking on CEO of his gaming business. Rey also has a sideline job as an atmosphere model. Together they bring out the best in one another.
A really enjoyable read, heartwarming, lovable read. So glad the serious will continue with side characters. Highly recommend this book, a warm cup of chocolate to warm your soul!

Rating 4.5 ⭐ Spice 2.7 🌶

This was a very fun read about a free spirited black sheep and a color in the lines straight lacer who meet in the middle via hidden identity AND work! Rey just wants to be accepted for who she is, and to find the passion she's lost in her art again, and Mark is deathly afraid of losing everything and being judged for his former best mate and business partners mistakes.

I really enjoyed how these two met, and the decisions that had to be made when one of them put two and two together. It's a great story with lots of fun side characters that obviously show that there will be more books to come!

Tropes include but not limited to
Hidden identities
Billionaire x artist
Past mental health struggles(some mentions, minor)

*Super minor spoiler*

As a debut book, I thought this was well written and thought out. As someone who does not have any experience in the gaming and art industry, I loved that the author could show me bits of what it’s like to be a part of those industries.

I liked the aspect of hidden identities, it was interesting to see both of their personalities in the workplace and at the VIP club. At the workplace, the MMC was a grumpy boss who was screwed over by someone who he thought was his friend and partner while the FMC was this intern finding her path and passion again. Outside of work they were vibrant and playful.

My only dislikes were probably the fast I love yous, the third act breakup, and of course the FMC’s mother.

Congratulations on your debut Eva and thank you so much for providing me with an arc for my honest review!

Full disclosure: I was provided with an ARC of this book to read and review.

This book has hints of Cinderella and Love Actually dressed up in an Alice in Wonderland costume!

It's hard to believe this is a debut novel. Eva Camden had me both laughing and crying, and I loved it.

The characters are adorable, most of the time (yes, this is aimed at Mark, who may have got his priorities skewed along the way and kinda fell out of favour, for a bit). The imagery is delightful and vivid, particularly in the club. I enjoyed the way this love story unfolded, and the ending is just perfect!

Hopefully, more in the 'What happens in Mayfair' series won't be too far away ...

If you're partial to an easy to read charming modern romance, this book deserves a prominent place on your TBR list.

I read this book because one of my favourite authors, Rosa Lucas gave it five stars. I have never given a book five stars before but my goodness this book was fabulous.

Rey was just super cute, her energy, her love for herself , her confidence. An atmosphere model sounds so exciting, and freeing I get the attraction. The way she stood up to her mother in the end was brilliant.

Mark sounded dreamy, and was obviously a very motivated billionaire with some hang ups (Damien). But seeing him change and fall in love was just gorgeous.

The Billboard move was just fabulous, it would make any girl swoon surely.

So glad they got their happy ending after the whole debacle.

An amazing first book Eva, thank you. I look forward to your next one.

Mark and Rey story was a delight to read.

These two are so opposite you think they’re never going to work but Rey she is the sunshine to mark darkness and my god do there work 💕

Watching them navigate this connection had me wanted to scream at them both at time my heart broke for Rey, can’t believe even in fiction book older men still look down at women for a choice of work but it’s ok for them to ogle them🤬.

Rey’s Mum she is horrid love Xander he has his sister back 💓

The connection Rey makes with her colleagues made me smile

Mark he comes to life when he meets Rey and shows his vulnerable side .

For me 4🌟

Fun, immersive, and packed with everything you expect in a romance—family drama, real friendships, and sizzling chemistry. Rey’s sunshine energy and Mark’s grumpy CEO vibe make their slow-burn connection irresistible. The factor of them not realizing they knew each other was amazing. Add masquerade parties, a Gossip Girl–style blog, gaming flair, laugh-out-loud humor, and one unforgettable grand gesture, and you’ve got a story that delivers on every level. Fans of grumpy/sunshine and redeeming grand gestures will love this. Rey does not bend to fit in any one box, and we get to witness Mark grow to love her for it.

It's a debut novel for Eva Camden and for her first book it's wonderful.

Rey is an artist completely damaged by her mother's opinions and lack of support. I felt like hugging her on several occasions, especially after reading her mother's cruel words.

I love her joy and free spirit. She never gave up, fighting to be who she is, despite the negative opinions of others.

I hated, loved, hated, and loved Mark again. Mark is officially one of my favorite billionaires this year.

I was won over by this grumpy, serious, tender, loving, and romantic man. He's terrible at making personal decisions and needs a little encouragement to understand when he's screwed up.

Did I mention he's hot as hell?

PD: Eva, where can I vote to remove the flowers? 🤣🤣

Thanks so much for the ARC 😘

Wildflower was everything I expected and more. What a debut from Eva!

As a ’90s girl, this book hit all the right notes! It was a spicy, grown-up blend of the rom-coms we grew up on and the fairy-tale vibes of our favorite Disney princesses with a sassy dash of Gossip Girl drama against the backdrop of London.

Mark and Rey’s story is vibrant, dramatic and oh so unashamedly addictive! I devoured this book!

Thank you so much Eva for allowing me the opportunity to ARC read! I cannot wait to see what you come up with next.

Uptight vs. free-spirited

For a debut book, this was well written and kept my interest. The characters were interesting and mostly believable and I was happy that a relationship somewhat developed before all of the spicy sex scenes occurred. The work fraternization conflict and sexual harassment was realistic as well, but the male main character's grovel was really out of character for his position and prior conflict with his board of directors, etc. All in all I'm looking forward to her second book.

Had this as an ARC, and for a first book, it was brilliant. Rey is fun, quirky and colourfully loud. Mark is the typical grumpy billionaire CEO who needs his eyes opening. After meeting behind masks and hitting it off as strangers they have to navigate after they discover she's his inturn. Really looking forward to the next book in the "What happen in Mayfair" series. You'll have laughs tears and plenty of spice along with the romance. Well wrote by Eva.
