What if you could go back? Not to fix the world, but to fix yourself?
Mrs. Smith’s life has been built on broken promises and quiet survival. A marriage that turned violent. Children scarred by the echoes of their father’s rage. Years of guilt that no amount of time could erase.
When a strange newspaper ad offers a chance to start over, she thinks it must be a hoax. But when the impossible becomes real, she faces a choice she never relive the past and risk losing everything, or stay in the present and carry her regrets forever.
As Mrs. Smith stands on the edge of two realities, haunted by the past, desperate for redemption, she learns that time cannot heal what the heart refuses to face.
The Door is a powerful story of regret, hope, and the wish to rewrite life.
This is intriguing so far, a bit of a shame that the author decided to leave it on a cliffhanger, but I am going to read the second book, so it worked, haha.
