This was a really enjoyable read with a strong focus on honor, family loyalty, and the consequences of difficult choices. I loved the blend of action, emotional moments, and clan politics throughout the story. The characters each brought something important to the story.
One thing I especially liked was the tension between tradition and survival. The story constantly keeps the characters in situations where they have to decide between doing what is expected of them and doing what feels right. The family dynamics and loyalty between siblings added a lot of emotional depth as well.
There were several moments that genuinely surprised me. If you enjoy books with a mix of family drama, action and emotional stakes, this is definitely worth checking out!
