L'Arratien taberna
Urdaibai, gertaleku pribilegiatu bat. Gizon bat Mundakako Santa Katalina ermitarantz doa, asmo argi bere bizimodu zorigaiztokoari amaiera ematea, munduko olaturik perfektuenetako bat eratzen den eremuan bere burua itsasora jaurtiz. Ez du asmo hori beteko, baina; ezustekoan bizitza irauli, eta bide berri bati ekingo dio. L’Arratien tabernan topatuko du biziberritzeko aukera Paul Arenek, «Pello» deituak, eta alboan izango ditu Karmentxu, jabea eta bere metamorfosiaren erantzule ezusteko bihurtua, Libe, Irati, Pako, Koldo, Juankar... abegi ona egin eta bere egoera berrian lagunduko dioten herritarrak. XXI. mendean girotuta dago L’Arratien taberna, eta hau da egileak idatzitako eleberrien artean gaurkotasun handienekoa. Prosa arin eta zorrotza, are berritzailea ere, bereizgarri duela, kostaldeko herri bateko biztanleen egunerokotasunera garamatza liburuaren tramak, haien bizipen, traizio, sentipen, iragan ezkutu, entretenimendu eta kezkak elkarri josiz.
