Everyone in Spruce Hollow thinks they know me. Coach Mal. The funny one. The guy who always gets the job done. But no one knows what happens when the lights go out.
Except Lilah.
She saw the cracks in me before I even knew they were there. And now she’s back—still fierce, still tender, still the only woman who’s ever seen my truth.
We aren’t who we were. And loving her again means taking it slow… or I’ll lose her all over again. I want to let her in. I want to be better—for her.
But what if loving me means breaking her heart all over again?
***If you crave slow burn second chances and healing love with steamy release, this small-town story will grip your heart and never let go. HEA.***
THE CHARMER is Book 3 of the Homefront Hearts series. It's a short and steamy, slow-burn, second-chance romance. Malachi is a hunky ex-military man turned coach with scars he hides through joking. Lilah was his first love that he left behind and the only one to see the real him. Will the rekindle their love? Their chemistry was explosive and we got a great HEA once they let each other back in. I loved it.
This was a very emotional story with Malachi and Lilah as the main characters. Malachi has been battling his PTSD for years and Isabella had not seen him in 12 years since he enlisted in the Rangers. Both Trip and Isabella have their own problems to overcome. This is the third story in the Homefront Hearts series from Ms. West and won't be my last. This story deserves more than 5 stars, thank you Ms. West!!!
Explosive. The chemistry between Malachi and Lilah is off the charts hot. You are going to find it a challenge to put this romance book down and all it is going to take is one click and the romance will ooze from the page until the very end. Cleo has done a really good job writing this romance book.
Malachi is back in town after serving overseas, he is now the football coach and a wears a mask around everyone. The last person he expects to see is Lilah the girl that he left behind all those years ago. She is the only one that see through the mask and the real person.

This is a great book, great series, about the struggles of returning vets. It puts in a whole knew perspective, what they are dealing with and how difficult a struggle it is to overcome. Some never do. But these courageous men are on the right path toward living again with the love of good women to stand with them.
I really enjoyed the charmer which was Malachi and Lilah’s story. It was a steamy, slow burn. I received an early copy. And voluntarily leaving this review.
