Wow, that was totally unexpected! The characters and their backstories were so good — a surgeon and a serial killer, both completely unhinged but perfect together. The banter between them was amazing! And the snake? Such a cool touch to the story. This was my first book by Luna, and I’m definitely reading more!

Their story turned out to be even better than anything I could have imagined. Their love wasn’t a fairytale—it was straight out of a true-crime documentary, and somehow, that made it all the more perfect. Steph and Finn were absolutely adorable in their own twisted way—two psychos in love. Their constant bickering and fiery clashes were the highlight of the book, and I enjoyed every second of it. Neither of them ever backed down, which made them feel so perfectly matched.
The way their story progressed had everything I love: sharp banter, sizzling tension, and tropes executed flawlessly. By day, they were doctors; by night, killers. Soulmates, truly. I adored the found family element and the touch of magic Luna always manages to weave into her universe. The cameos from older characters were such a treat, reminding me of how interconnected and alive this world feels.
At the heart of it, Steph and Finn had to break free of their own restraints to learn how to love without fear. Steph was Finn’s anchor, and Finn was her safe place. Their relationship was brutal, beautiful, and surprisingly heartwarming—with just the right dose of murder and mayhem. Exactly the kind of story I can’t get enough of.
What I loved most about Steph was how she never flinched from Finn’s madness. Instead, she embraced it—even matched it at times. That unwavering acceptance made all of Finn’s fears meaningless. Steph’s character was strong, resilient, and unapologetically badass. She endured so much to become who she is, and she never settled for less than what she deserved. Strong female leads like her are always such a delight to read.
And Finn—he’s easily my favorite psycho. He had so many layers, but at his core, he was just a boy desperate to be loved and accepted exactly as he is. My heart ached for his past; he suffered far too much, and it made me want to wrap him in all the love and warmth he craved. Steph’s abandonment issues also resonated deeply with me, and together, they gave each other the kind of love they’d been longing for their whole lives.
Their story was intense, chaotic, and tender all at once—everything I wanted and more. And now, I’m beyond excited for what’s next. Luna is giving us her first MFM, and from the glimpses we’ve had of Bella, I already know I’ll adore her. As for Reggie and Rowan… I have no doubt they’ll have us wrapped around their fingers in no time.

He has been obsessed with Stephanie, another surgeon for years, but has only been an absolute menace to her. She, on the other hand, is just trying to live as best she can after a horrid past, and always coming second best to Dr. Quinn.

no but really, these two were madeeee for each other! and not in a clean-cut, cutesy, cookie cutter sort of way. but in a brutal & bloody, your-jagged-pieces-match-mine, "i'll knock him out if you put him in the trunk" sort of way;) delicious. i will admit the blood play got a little much for me at times, but their emotional connection and the way they both chose to be vulnerable and bare their traumatic pasts was perfection.
i truly had no idea what to expect from Finn but it's safe to say he totally surprised me. i was expecting completely cold & calculated indifference. but his little notebook? him saving Nyx? him agonizing about losing his brothers or anyone else in his growing family? who knew i'd swoon so hard for a serial killer heart surgeon. (me, actually, i knew i'd fold bsffr)
i think this is my favorite in the series so far, but unfortunately i won't be reading the next one as i'm not a fan of MFM romances. HOWEVER you bet your butt i'll be locked in when Drago's story releases in a few months lol i've been soooo curious about him since he first showed up in book 1.

Before Finn, I was obsessed with Conan, but after reading Intense, i'm obsessed with Finn & Conan. Finn is so unhinged it's perfection. I mean in the most perfect way a Doctor should be unhinged. At every turn Finn did not disappoint; his dry humor was even better. Finn had a plan for every situation he found himself in and executed the out that it ended in his favor every time. He is a force to be reckoned with, and he met his match in Stephanie.
Stephanie is a whole different type of unhinged and her unhinged matches Finn's. Right from the start Stephanie isn't one to back down, she challenges and put him in his place at every turn; and she definitely knows how to use saving Conan's life against Finn....it's awesome. She did not falter when she was pushed too and it was amazing to watch Finn fall in love.
The way Finn and Stephanie find their way and become one is completely opposite of his brothers. Honestly, this was the best book out of the three so far. The silent ones are the most deadly and they make the best stories.

This had some of the best banter I have ever read. The back and forth was amazing and I loved how they pushed each other's buttons.
Stephanie is a BAD ASS. & Finn had such amazing growth. alsooooo my stomach was in my throat during the trial 🫠🫠🫠🫠

I love these two. They are great as individuals, but together? They are a 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙚. They complement each other so perfectly.
The banter and chemistry between Stephanie and Finn from the start is just amazing. The tension is soo good. I was giggling like crazy.
I loved watching these two fighting for each other and how Finn grew and healed and ugh my heart.
And Stephanie - she’s such a sassy badass and I love her.
We also get the amazing relationship between the Quinn brothers, and appearances from other characters in Lunas other series and I loved that so much.
Another mvp is nyx. such a special bond between finn&nyx and she was such a great addition to the whole story.

The ARC review:
I’m freaking CAPTIVATED. And trust me, that is saying something because I am a super picky reader and very hard to please. I DNFed so many books before this ARC, but this one I love so much that I am definitely buying a copy when it is released just to have it as a trophy.
The tension between these two characters is so satisfying to read about. They are not even flirting, but somehow I am giggling at every interaction. I am literally buzzing with energy like a bee in pollen season, just waiting for them to realize how similar they are even though they think they are complete opposites. They are soulmates, no question about it. And the more I read, the more little similarities I notice, from their trauma to their love for snakes.
The only thing that confused me a little was how Finn says he hates being touched, but then he casually mentions having had many intimate moments with more than one person at a time. That didn't really make sense to me.
And this is definitely more of a me thing, but I'm not a fan when characters talk about their past romantic or physical partners. I don't know but I hate it. Thank god it's mentioned only once. So it's safe.
I literally don’t want to finish this book. I can already smell the reading slump coming. Why is it this good?? I am blaming the author for the emotional crash I will be in once I turn the last page.
The writing is addictive, the characters are so entertaining, and can we talk about Finn for a second? Excuse me, why is he such a sweetheart? Sure, he is not morally perfect because of his "extracurricular activities" let's say but honestly, who is??? He is still a spicy cinnamon roll and the way he ACTUALLY loves her is SO SWEET.
Another thing I love is how this story is not just about lust. So many dark romance books start with mainly physical attraction, but here it feels much deeper. Their souls are pulling them together. Yes, there is chemistry and steam, but it is not the only thing they have. That makes their connection so much more powerful and I love every single second of it.
I am completely speechless. This really is one of the best books I've read this year, and I'm not saying this because I received the ARC and somehow feel like I have to. I always share my honest thoughts and take reviewing very seriously. This book felt like perfection to me, and I can't wait to get a physical copy once it is released. I also believe this is Luna Mason’s best work yet. My respect for her and her writing just skyrocketed.

Where to start…
Oh man. Ok i’ll start with I actually agree with another review that the first half of the book I really liked. Their whole banter and enemies thing is something you really felt as a reader. But when we got to the part where he broke into her room read her diary (without consent) and pretty much forced her to take part in these weirdo type games to get her to talk to her?
Yeah it just felt icky. I don’t know how else to explain it. And that fact that she just is like no it’s ok I still love you during that just gave trauma bonded to an abuser. There was just a lack of informed consent during this whole game thing he sprung on her. And she just lost all of her fireyness that made her HER at the beginning of the book.
Also I this is just a subjective opinion/ something I felt like I noticed is Finn just felt like he gave that guy in middle or high school that tells you "No you would never date a guy like me". Yeah idk I had to stop reading after the whole that.
Perhaps I like my FMCs with a bit more backbone instead of just falling a guys feet who ACTUALLY tortured with no fun after. Like fr. Instead of just talking to her like she even suggested.

Before starting this book, I already knew it was going to be my favorite of the Quinn brothers. I love a sweet baby psycho angel and I’ll never change. Finn is as close to Luca to me now and Luca has been my favorite since day one.
The banter from the very beginning between Stephanie and Finn was excellent and I loved that it continued throughout the book despite everything. I just loved how equal these two were down to their souls. These two really made me feel like there is someone out there for everyone. Every scar, visible or not, was put there for a reason and led them to their other half.
Finn was cracking me up with his little notebooks about her and the fact that he thought something medical was wrong with him and how he felt about Stephanie. The fact that this man is essentially pulling her pigtails bc he’s obsessed with her is everything. And every “Atta Girl” was in my head as a little pat on the butt.
Stephanie was a perfect FMC for Finn. This woman did not back down from him and never broke for him. She was so strong and I loved that she wanted to be by his side instead of on the sidelines. Giving very much Mila and Zara vibes. What reeled me in the most was that these two thought they were so unlovable, they thought they would never find someone just like them.
As always in Luna fashion, the spice was delicious and I ate it up and left no crumbs. Add in Nyx and she really outdid herself. I will always be a Luna Mason reader.
And always love to see past characters show up and surprise us. I love that they are like one big mafia family. Warms my dark romance heart right up.

With each series that luna writes I add a new book boyfriend to the list and this book I added finn.
Conan is still for me a my favourite in the series but his brother Is fighting right behind him.
I love a broken boy and how they heal with love and relationship and the right woman to match them and this one certainly matched. This book made my heart squeeze.
I love this book with all my heart from start to finish I trouble putting it down.
I sobbed the last 20% of the book and showed every emotion through out.
After I finished the book I was left trying to piece myself back together as this book was powerful

I pretty much highlighted the whole book I don't have a favourite quote the whole book was so amazing.
Luna you put your heart and soul into this book I could feel it on every page.
I definitely have learnt a thing or two from this book.
Finally finding out about Finns past and behind his persona broke me and made me release why he was the person he was outside of being a doctor.
His Obsession with Stephanie is hot and especially with his note pad and writing down all his interactions with her which started when he first met her.
The banter had me laughing and the tension was off the charts and the push and pull between foreplay had me hot under the collar.

First book I've read in 6 weeks and I absolutely loved it!! Luna NEVER fails to deliver on her books.
Finn - deadly, cold, intense, this man ugh I love him! He is my favourite Quinn brother and I'm not sorry about it. Without peeling back his layers you'd think he was just cold and unapproachable but there is so much more to Finn than what you see on the surface. His past made him into the man he is, a past full of trauma, heartbreak and devastation. He buried it all just to function everyday but we all know the past stays to haunt us. Finn didn't want anyone to see the cracks he had spent his whole life carefully covering over but he didn't anticipate that his obsession would see his darkness and want more.
Stephanie - sharp, deadly, fierce. Our girl climbed her way to the top with everything she had. Making regrettably choices along the way but she soon rectified those choices with her deadly poisons. Being a Dr was everything she wanted and she wasn't going to stop until she was the best but Dr Finn wasn't about to let her get there so easily. Steph's past made her push herself to be better, to never rely on anyone including a man but she couldn't resist the pull she had to Finn, her darkness recognised his even if she didn't know who he really was.

Luna has done it again. An absolute masterpiece of a book and idk how but this series just keeps on amazing me. I couldn’t put this book down! The entire universe these books take place just keeps on growing and building this incredible story. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Finn is definitely a unique character with a hard past. I loved being able to get a peek inside his mind. His little notes he would always take after every interaction with Stephanie were so interesting and sweet. Stephanie and Fin are surgeons at the same hospital and always at each other’s throats, talk about enemies to lovers. You can literally feel the tension both hate and love.
While at a conference together, a drinking challenge is proposed along with an actual proposal. This is when things get interesting. Who are they really?? Can they unravel each other’s secrets?

OH. MY. GOD. Intense by Luna Mason did not just chew me up, it ripped me apart and spit me out feral, frothing at the mouth, begging for more. I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck made of angst, spice, and toxic obsession and I LIKED IT. The way these characters tangled themselves into my brain??? The push pull, the tension so thick it could choke me out (and I wouldn’t even complain 👀).
Luna really said: “you want pain, passion, and an MMC who makes questionable life choices but owns your soul anyway?” AND DELIVERED. I was pacing, growling, throwing my Kindle across the room and then sprinting after it because I NEEDED the next page.
This wasn’t just a book it was an experience. A raw, gritty, claws in my heart masterpiece. Five stars, tattoo it on my forehead, someone lock me up because I’m unhinged after reading this.

Serial unaliver surgeons, blood kinks, and mafia connections? What more can you ask for???? Finn and Stephanie’s story was so good from start to finish! I felt Finn’s book had such a different vibe from Declan and Conan as the Decadence Trials really took a back seat to the Bowen drama that is set up within the previous books. However I was HOOKED and it felt so right. All in all, Finn is an unapologetic black cat of a MMC who is obsessed with his wife. I think I’ve found my new book husband 😏

I think this is my new favorite book by Luna!! I loved the banter between Quinn & Stephanie and the tension is SO THICK! Plus, give me an accidental marriage and I’m sold! I’m simply obsessed with them and both of their dark sides! But that’s not to say that both of them haven’t been through some trauma they struggle with, although the way they accept and fight for each other is so sweet. They perfectly complement each other in every way and that scene with Nyx….so freaking good!

The banter between Finn and Stephanie was top tier. Their push and pull made for a great chemistry. One night in Vegas add in a drinking game and a Vegas marriage and everything changes. They are doctors by day because that’s what keeps them grounded and keeps the balance, as they both are un alivers at night due to their haunted pasts. As usual Luna Mason took me on an emotional rollercoaster when we finally get Finn’s full back story and his inner monologue.
I would also like to say that the snake moment in the book wasn’t what I expected but I loved it 😊

Luna Mason keeps outshining herself with each new story she brings us! Dr. Finn Quinn and Stephanie, gosh the “hatred” they have for each other, their banter, is just so intense! They both have dark secrets they’d rather leave hidden but when they find out they aren’t so different from each other, the passion and love and healing they provide to each other is like none other.

My heart strings have whip lash, this was a true enemies to lovers joyride 😉😜. We finally find out more about the slightly phycotic Dr. Quinn, the revealing of his childhood trauma had me in tears. Stephanie was the true badass FMC I knew she would be. Strong and resilient just the perfect match to Finn. The banter these two have is top tier , amazing chemistry and the answers I needed.

I guess it’s safe to say that blood play is not my thing…
But I enjoyed most of the book. It includes one of my favorite micro-tropes: even when the MMC thinks she betrayed him, he would rather kill himself than hurt her.

Luna Mason never disappoints! Can’t wait for the last two books in the series and especially the short story of Finn and Steph. Loved their story. I love how Stephanie helped soften his heart. They are perfect for each other.
