TAINTED VOWS BOOK 5 TO THE VOWS OF POWER SERIES.Stephan Leary has everything—money, control, and a reputation built on fear. But when it comes to Nia, his power means nothing. She’s the one woman who dismantles every wall he builds, the only one who can bring him to his knees.
Their marriage was born in chaos and kept alive through pain. Stephan has hurt her too many times to count, and yet, Nia keeps coming back. Not because she’s weak, but because she can’t stop loving the man who destroys her.
When she finally walks away, Stephan tells himself it’s over. But the thought of her with someone else—especially his brother Zaiden—drives him to the brink of insanity. His jealousy turns violent, his obsession uncontainable.
Nia wants peace, a life free from Stephan’s cruelty and control. But she’s bound to him by something darker than vows—by love twisted into something neither of them can name. And when Stephan refuses to sign the divorce papers, Nia realizes that leaving him was never really an option.
Because Stephan Leary doesn’t lose. And the heart he broke is the one he’ll take back by force.
THIS BOOK IS RECOMMENDED FOR READERS AGED 18 YEARS AND OVER. IT CONTAINS SEX AND SUBMISSION.
What can I say about this glorious train wreck of a series? At this point, I’m not even reading for the plot—I’m here for the chaos, popcorn in hand, watching the literary equivalent of a slow-motion car crash. And honestly? I’m invested.
The Nia/Zaiden storyline is the only thing keeping me from jumping ship entirely. It’s like watching a soap opera where you know everyone’s making terrible decisions, but you just have to see how it ends.
Now let’s talk about Stephan. Or rather, let’s not—but here we are. He continues to be the human embodiment of a paper cut: irritating, unnecessary, and somehow always there. Hero? Antihero? Please. He’s more like a cautionary tale wrapped in red flags. He is petty, spiteful, disloyal and definitely not an Alpha male. I still fervently hope he gets metaphorically (or literally—I’m not picky) run over by a truck.
Nia almost had a moment of growth in this book. I saw the glimmer of a spine forming… and then she forgave Stephan. Just like that, the backbone went down the emotional garbage disposal. Sigh.
Still, I’m curious enough about the Nia/Zaiden drama to keep going. I’ve come this far—I might as well see how the circus ends.
