Coming to Terms

Rate this book
Shortly after her daughter's 18th birthday and not long after the death of her husband Evelyn Keane decides to tell her daughter that he was not her biological father. For the first time, she gives an account of her life, her dissatisfactions and her desire for self-improvement. She is convinced Manon’s father was the professor Bartosiewicz she had a tempestuous affair with after attending a University summer school and who, after stringing her along, left her in the lurch. Even after this span of time, she is still very much emotionally attached and resentful to the point of obsession. She discovers an internet archive piece about his professional misconduct with a string of other female students and learns that he still lives not far away. She vows to seek revenge
