After her perfect, fake-boyfriend ex orchestrates a viral betrayal, Harper’s career is DOA. Her only salvation? A derelict Texas motel she inherited from her eccentric aunt. Her renovate it, turn it into #ContentGold, and save her life.
Her first and only marketable amenity is a stunning natural spring. Too bad it’s ground zero for a decades-old family feud.
Enter Jax the devastatingly attractive, stoic rancher next door. He’s all worn denim, legal threats, and enough "grumpy cowboy" energy to freeze the Texas sun. And he's determined to protect his family's land and their tragic history—starting with sending a cease and desist letter to the "city girl" who wants to turn his sanctuary into an "aesthetic."
The Feud is It's influencer versus cowboy, pink stilettos versus pearl-snap shirts. The small town of Moonsprings, obsessed with the enemies-to-lovers dynamic, starts placing bets on who will surrender first.
But when their fake feud accidentally goes viral on national TV, and a disastrous night of drinking ends with a barn-breaking, seven-years-in-the-making kiss, the lines blur. Soon, the only thing hotter than their escalating public rivalry is their secret late-night rendezvous.
Now, Harper has a save her career by selling out to the TV network that wants her to publicly reject Jax... or risk everything for the only man who ever saw the real, unfiltered woman behind the camera.

«Welcome to Moonsprings: Where the only thing spreading faster than gossip is my professional demise.»
«"Harper looks like she needs carbs and therapy, but carbs are faster."»
«He'll go back to being the enemy, I'll go back to being the disaster who's ruining his life, and we'll pretend this never happened.»
«"Being different isn't a defect, baby girl. It's a feature. Anyone who says otherwise is just jealous of our sparkle."»
«"I see you. The man who brings his niece to see fairy springs. Who dances like Fred Astaire but pretends to hate fun. Who looked so free that morning in the water that it made my chest ache with wanting something I couldn't name." We're so close now I can feel his.»
«"But some battles aren't worth winning if you lose yourself in the process."»
«"Love doesn't win. Love transforms. It takes broken things and makes them whole. Takes feuds and makes them funny stories for grandkids. Takes a disaster of an influencer and a grumpy cowboy and makes them..." "Home," Jax finishes simply.»
This story feels like falling in love slowly, gently, and then all at once. It’s enemies-to-lovers at its finest, a slow burn that lingers and builds, forced proximity that earns every glance, every pause, every almost-touch. Sunshine meets broody in the most tender way, wrapped in small-town warmth and that unmistakable city-girl-meets-cowboy magic.
Harper and Jax don’t just have chemistry, they have that quiet, magnetic pull that makes your heart lean in closer. The kind of connection that grows in stolen looks, soft banter, and moments where words aren’t even needed. Harper’s light feels genuine and healing, while Jax’s brooding carries a softness underneath that just begs to be seen. Watching them slowly open up to each other is deeply satisfying and incredibly romantic.
The setting itself feels alive. You can almost feel the warm air, hear the water bubbling nearby, and sense the comfort of a place that holds both memories and second chances. The humor is natural, the banter sharp yet affectionate, and the side characters add so much heart that the world feels full and real. Solange and Ty draw you in effortlessly, but Aunt Celia? She is the soul of this story. Her presence lingers like wisdom passed down through love.
At its core, this book is about grief, healing, found family, and the courage it takes to let go of the past in order to choose happiness. It’s about allowing yourself to be seen, to be loved, and to grow into who you’re meant to be. Cozy, emotional, and quietly powerful, this story wraps around your heart and doesn’t let go.
A beautiful, comforting, and deeply romantic read that I will be thinking about for a long time. Five stars, without hesitation.
The Vibe: enemies-to-lovers excellence, a deliciously slow burn, forced proximity that actually pays off, sunshine-meets-broody energy, city-girl–meets-country-boy charm, cowboy romance perfection, small-town coziness, banter so sharp it could cut rope, and spice that stays mild (unless it’s cinnamon 😉).
From page one, Harper and Jax have that magnetic, can’t-look-away chemistry, the kind where you find yourself smiling at your Kindle like an absolute fool. The author paints every scene with such clarity that you swear you can feel the dusty motel air or hear the bubbling springs. Every chapter unfolds with this effortless blend of humor, heart, and tension that keeps you fully perched on the edge of your seat.
And listen… the banter? The humor? Elite. Harper is a chaotic sunshine queen, Jax is the broody cowboy who deserves a forehead kiss and a nap, and Solange and her not-boyfriend Ty? I’m invested, I’m attached, I’m mentally packing my bags to move in with them. But even with such iconic main characters, Aunt Celia steals the entire show. She’s spoken about on the page and suddenly you’re like, “Yes. This. This woman is the moment.”
At its core, this story is a gorgeous blend of grief, old feuds, reclaimed joy, found family, real family, and the terrifyingly beautiful act of letting go so you can finally grow into yourself. It’s heartfelt, cozy, vibrant, and impossible to put down.
All I can say is: I loved this book and honestly think you will too. Give it a try so you can come scream about it with the rest of us.
* grumpy x sunshine * Enemies to lovers * Influencer x cowboy * Small town
Harper and Jax are two hard-working working, witty bantering, opposites attract and overall entertaining people. This book follows Harper’s journey on restoring her dead Aunt’s motel, which is falling down and comes with a 50+ year feud with the neighbours. Insert Jax, said neighbour who’s carrying in the feud. Will Harper and Jax be able to overcome everything or will it all go down flames. This book was so enjoyable to read, the witty banter, the town and all of its oddball characters. I think Hazel did an absolute great job of world building as well, mixing enough banter and spiciness and tender moments all throughout the book.
Thank you to Book Sirens and Hazel for the chance to read this ARC
These are the tropes you know beforehand - so you enter into this book with some knowledge of what to except. But even though you'll know that you will have a happy end it was highly enjoyable!
The characters were super entertaining and fun. Harper is probably the only influencer I would follow and Jax, yeah I think we all have a crush on him.
I think here in this story Hazel could have upped the spiciness level because it would have made a lot of sense. ( Sometimes authors throw in some spiciness but it doesn't fit into the story at all ). Here I wouldn't have minded at all.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. A city girl, completely addicted to her phone and the internet meets a rough and ready, doesn’t know what a hashtag is grump of a cowboy. Thoroughly predictable…and exactly why I enjoyed it. It ticks all the trope boxes and scratches every delightful trope itch.
I loved loved loved this book! The humor, the tension, the will they won’t they vibes between Harper and Jax. The conniving acts from Sint Celia from the grave, lol! Absolute page-turner, read it in one setting and couldn’t put it down. 5 stars!
I really enjoyed this. It was funny, romantic and had a fit cowboy to boot! Need I say more! The writing was great and really descriptive which I love in a book. Will look forward to more by this author.
This was A RIDE and I loved every minute of it. Harper is a chaotic influencer who's life is falling apart, and when her path crosses with Jax, the brooding no nonsense cowboy, magical things happen.
There were laughs, there were TEARS, and there were cinnamon rolls aplenty.
I honestly wish I could read this book again for the first time (and again, and again, and again) because everything just fell into place so perfectly as the story progressed.
Also, shout out to #bestie Solange, because Harper would be lost without her and as a FMC book BFF, she is one of my favorites of all time. I seriously hope we get a book about her (please please please).

Aunt Celia rocks. She was definitely my favorite character in the entire book. I loved her outlook on life, and I happily ate up her tidbits of wisdom. ❤️
I laughed while I read, I enjoyed my time with these characters, and although it was a fun time, it was also heartfelt and sweet.

This book was literally perfect and I had a great time giddily kicking my feet and screaming at my ebook reader, thank you very much. 🤭 (And yes, usually I’m the quiet kind of reader. Yes, I stayed up late just to read about them.)
Saddle up, because this is going to be one hell of a ride!
Harper, you absolut gorgeous human being and probably the only influencer I’d follow and support wholeheartedly. She really had a redemption arc that was chef’s kiss 🤌🏼 and I want to emphasize that she really struggled and that was portrayed very realistically (and dang well, might I add). I also loved her connection to Celia and all the little bits of long gone times we got to witness. Matchmaking goddess. The way I gasped at the end when the missing pieces finally slid into place??? And the way she started living once she decided perfect isn’t an option anymore? She just threw herself into the chaos and embraced it. Go Harper! 🫶🏼
And then there’s Jackson (Jax), our broody cowboy who hates the internet with a passion. Him calling her tea cakes is one of my favorite memories (of many, I have to admit). And the way they both met at the Moonsprings Pool? So funny when you get to the logistics of it. 🤣 I loved how he always came for her and noticed every little detail about her, for example her nervous tick. Even when he’s mad at Harper - she calls and he comes running, ready to fix whatever needs fixing. The way he is with little kids and animals? Have mercy.
Solange (I have to laugh every time I read that name, because in Germany it’s an actual word and that was kind of off putting at first, but here we are 🤣) was such a little menace and I loved her very dearly. Like a tornado of relentlessness and never ending sass. Best friend coded from the beginning.
I loved the book and had such a fun time reading it, I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on new books from this author from here on out! 👀

I loved this storyline, the romance, the self discovery, anti tradition but yet traditional family stories. The heartache the endearment of a city girl and cowboy but it’s more then that it’s two paths meant to cross with help from there families past. Harper and Dex are so easy to love and route for! Aunt Celia is everything a girl growing up could need and look to for life advice from an aunt. This story was well written and it was so easy to get lost in. Each chapter was something that you wanted to read and not just skim. If you’re looking for fun, romance, heartfelt, banter, sexy, this is a definite read. I wish there was more of Martha in the story towards the end and not just the beginning tho she was a hoot. I appreciate how this story also teaches/ reminds us to put down our phones and live in the present world not in the social media bubble. We should appreciate our real everyday lives and not how life is perceived on social media. That was heartfelt and clear and I got the message. I want to thank the author for that reminder every now and then we need those.

This is such an entertaining read from cover to cover. Filled with humor, spice, banter, and two opposite people who are brought together by an old family feud.
Harper is a city girl trying to find her footing in live, she is the small town to claim her inheritance, and hopefully help her start her dream life. She did not count on Jax, her neighbor cowboy , a brooding/boring/grumpy man who wants to remind her about the feud over the lake that has kept their families apart.
Well, be ready for cultures clashing, her city/hashtag lifestyle against the quiet and resilient cowboy. The sunshiny girl, against the grumpy man clash will feed their antics and deepen their attraction.
The spice is just perfect for these two mismatched couple, it is intense , consuming and slowly transforming them both,
The fast paced plot, the relatable characters, the small town /found family dynamics, the insights, and all the moments make this a winner of a book !.

This charming read is equal parts funny, heartfelt, and sweet, with Aunt Celia stealing the spotlight through her wisdom and wit. The romance sparkles with just the right touch of spice, balanced by laugh‑out‑loud moments and genuine emotion. Hazel’s storytelling makes the characters feel alive and memorable, cementing her as one of my favorite authors to read.

I haven't read a cowboy romance book until this one, and I was hooked from the beginning (and the steam didn't hurt). I love the small town vibes but the fact she is from a major city, and I can relate to the characters within my own life. I loved this book and will follow this author from now on!.

Cowboy Moon: A Spicy Small-Town Rom-Com by Hazel K. Ford I really enjoyed reading Harper and Jax's story. Their story is well written, romantic, spicy and the perfect amount of humor. This is one of the first books I have read from Hazel K Ford and look forward to reading more of her work.

I love anything with a handsome cowboy. I was unsure about the influencer part but the enemies to lovers plot line was too intriguing to put down. A great read
