Martin Binns is dead. He leaves behind a pile of video tapes and a warning on the walls of his flat: "He Is Coming". Andy's boss is keen to write the death off, but Andy's been around Torchwood too long to let it go. The tapes contain the rushes of an unfinished horror film. Hidden in it is a forgotten crime and a terrible warning. He. Is. Coming.
Lauren Mooney and Stewart Pringle are my favorite writing duo at Big Finish Productions. The stories and characters they've created for the company have been nothing less than spectacular. Even their weakest efforts are a lot of fun and hard to listen to. I'm always excited for a release written by this amazing couple, and I hope they write plenty more.
Martin Bins is dead, found in his bathtub drowned. Or was it a simple accident or something far more unsettling? Andy senses something amiss is going on, and when he and his boss return to the man's apartment, they find an in-complete student horror film on a stack of VHS'. What they begin to unravel is terrifying. The Flawless Man has returned, and if he's real, then they're all in terrible danger.
Lauren Mooney and Stewart Pringle have written a frightening and at times disturbing found-footage horror story that will no doubt send shivers down your spine. This is an unsettling story with a terrific mystery and the occasional gruesome scene. The ending of this one will stick with you for a long while afterwards.
Overall: A terrifying audio drama that will have you on the edge of your seat. 10/10
