“You have my heart. From now until the end of time.”
The Wisps’ warning was unmistakable: gather the stones and open the door.
But one has been stolen, another has vanished without a trace, and the rest lie hidden behind monsters that do not sleep—they wait.
Seda knows she can’t trust Cahir or Kalon after their lies… yet she needs them. Xyberus’ survival depends on it. Forced into uneasy closeness with one, old feelings resurface—dangerous ones she thought she’d buried after his betrayal.
As Seda sets out to find one missing stone, her dreams begin to unravel the past, stirring a darkness she doesn’t fully understand. The monsters awaken, horrifying secrets surface, and Seda’s magic is pushed to its breaking point.
The truth is far more unsettling than they imagined.
The monsters aren’t what they seem.
Perhaps the once forgotten gods are not gone after all.
And some doors, once opened, were never meant to be closed.
Wow! Wow! What a shocking surprise this book turned out to be! This book surpassed my expectation!! I loved how Seda and Cahir ,have a special bond. This book provided more history into Cahir life; and Seda character definitely matured in this book. Mannine surely pulled at my heart strings on more than one occasion. The intricate world building and creative creatures brought to life is top tier!! The cliffhanger ending… well I really do not want to give out any spoilers!!! I do want to say both Corvid Whispers and Corvid Wings are phenomenal reads!!!
Huge thank you to Dee Mannine for the opportunity to part of the ARC team.
After the intense conclusion of the first installment, I was eager to dive into Corvid Wings. Dee Mannine has a captivating way of gripping your attention and never letting go, and this sequel proves there is so much more to this universe than we first imagined. The narrative shifts from the dystopian atmosphere of Joro to a massive world filled with fae, shifters, and a grand battle between good and evil. This sequel takes everything established in the first book and expands upon it, utilizing a multi-POV structure that brings the various threads of the lore together with precision. The world-building is incredibly fleshed out, and the inclusion of a glossary at the front is a thoughtful touch that makes the complex lore and ancient prophecies much more accessible. At the center of it all is Seda, a powerhouse thirty-something protagonist who is finally coming into her own. Watching her master her magic alongside her unique companions is incredibly satisfying, and I was especially thrilled to see more page time for Elco the lionne. Her resilience in the face of her past is something that resonated with me on a personal level; watching her break those chains and find her confidence is a highlight of the narrative that feels both earned and authentic. The emotional stakes are just as high as the magical ones, with the romance heating up significantly in this volume. The story features a complex love triangle that takes some very unexpected turns, leaving me torn between Kalon’s book-boyfriend charm and Cahir’s dark, possessive energy. Between the witty banter, the heightened spice, and the truly heartbreaking moments that will leave you reaching for an emotional support snack, Corvid Wings is an emotional rollercoaster. This is a masterful dark romantasy that offers deep world-building and lovable characters, and I am already counting down the days until the release of book three
This sequel takes everything from the first book and absolutely blows the world wide open. While the first book focused on Seda’s escape from the dystopian, Handmaid’s Tale-esque city of Joro, this installment proves there is so much more to this universe. We’ve got magic, fantastical creatures, gods, fae, and more. Also, there’s a glossary at the front! We are truly blessed to have reference material this good! 🙏
Seda is a thirty-something FMC who is finally discovering she’s more than human. Watching her gain confidence as she masters her magical abilities is so rewarding. She’s also gained Corvid familiars and a lionne (a half-lion, half-dragon) companion. I am obsessed with Elco, the lionne, and was so happy he got even more page time in this book.
Then there’s the love triangle. It veers off in some unexpected directions, but it’s clearly here to stay heading into book three. Which team I’m on remains TBD. Kalon is total book-boyfriend material, but the jealousy and possessiveness from Cahir definitely makes the dark romance lover in me perk up.
There are some truly heartbreaking scenes in this one, so keep an emotional support snack nearby, because you will be breaking down along with the rest of us. On the flip side, the spice really heats up, and I found myself constantly cheering Seda on. I also loved seeing the moving pieces of this multi-POV narrative start to click together.
I am already desperate for book three. If you love dark romantasy with expansive world-building, you need to pick this up!
Thank you to Dee Mannine for the eARC. All opinions are my own.
**I received this book as an ARC for free in return for my honest review. I was not paid, these are my own thoughts & opinions. Thank you to Dee Mannine, for the opportunity to read and review this book!
Oh. My. Gosh.
Let me preface this by saying that I was an ARC reader for the first book, Corvid Whispers. That book was a refreshing take on fantasy for me, and was very well written.
But Corvid Wings?? A masterpiece. I don't know how things could get better. I have such high praise for Dee and this series. Things did not go how I expected them to at all. Truly, this is a series that will keep you on your toes.
I loved watching Seda come into herself and her power. I resonated very strongly with her past. Seeing how she overcomes it and uses it to fuel her growth is inspiring. I find that even to this day, I sometimes feel shackled by my past experiences, and she makes me want to break those chains.
There's banter, there's heartbreak, there's spice, there's prophecies. I could go on. The world feels so fleshed out, and even if you feel lost with the lore and the creatures, it does eventually explain things. It usually comes when something significant happens.
This is 1000% one of my top reads for the year so far. I cannot recommend this series enough. If you have not read Corvid Whispers, please go read it! I promise you its worth the time. Now I'm sitting with bated breath waiting for the next book, Corvid Wrath, to release. If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. Sadly, 5🌟 is all they allow.
Dee absolutely outdid herself with book two! It picks up right where Corvid Whispers ended. I loved that we got more insight into Somnium’s and Jason’s POVs.
The plot was addicting and well paced, never leaving you in a lull, the writing was incisive while having you feel you were experiencing everything with the characters. The plot twists and revelations Dee was able to weave together left me in a constant chokehold.
Seda is demanding answers and explanations for everything. Her confidence and strong will is center stage and I am loving it. The tension between Seda and Cahir is delicious and the spice is handled perfectly. I love our side characters too, not just seen as fillers but important pieces of the puzzle.
Now, if Elco could stop interrupting that would be great 😅 IYKYK 😅 I still love him!
There is a lot going on in the book, things/characters are not as they appear and yet it’s still easy to follow and will possibly cause a few outbursts as you yell/squeal at the pages like I may have done … many times.
So many questions answered, however you will be left with a brutal cliff hanger. But it’s so worth it. It set everything up beautifully for the final book of the series.
I loved everything about Corvid Wings, I can’t recommend it enough! Tension, rebellion, dystopian, lost memories….
After reading book 1 of the Amethyst Wrath series , I was so eager to read book 2. Corvid Wings by Dee Mannine is a slow burn romantasy packed with action. In a world with magic, shifters and monsters, there is a war between good and evil. Book 2 uncovers more secrets, memories, backstories and a plot twist.
I love books where the FMC grows and becomes more powerful and independent with each book. Seda went from a normal rule following human to being a strong, confident woman that sticks up for herself and I love that for her. The slowburn was an absolute chef kiss in this book. We learn so much more about Cahir and his past and I just love how devoted he is to Seda. I want to be team Cahir, but like, why choose?? Elco still remains as my favourite character in this book, but he really has to stop interrupting some scenes.
I honestly love Dee Mannine and this series, it is such a refreshing fantasy series, unlike ones I have read before. I love the lore and the plot twists and I will continue to wait eagerly for the rest of this series.
Thank you Dee Mannine for the opportunity to ARC read this series, all thoughts and reviews are of my own.
I loved Corvid Wings so much I finished it in 2 days because I couldn’t put it down! I loved that we jump right in where we left off from Corvid Whispers. I was so tempted to reread book 1 because there are so many connections and shocking reveals in this book.
This book was so fun to read and I think I enjoyed it even more than the first book. We get to see Seda become more comfortable with herself and come to terms with her past trauma. We also get to see more of Cahir and I have conflicting feelings about him. At times I like him and how devoted he is to Seda, but I’m really not a fan of how jealous and possessive he is. I’m looking forward to seeing how his character develops in book 3.
There’s really just so much action going on you never get bored while reading. If you like a Romantasy with a love triangle, jealous MMCs, an FMC discovering herself, battles against monsters, and going on a quest to save the world… this series is for you.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
After reading book one, I was beyond eager to step back into this world with Seda and continue her journey.
And though I didn’t think it was possible, book 2 offered even more secrets revealed, even more uncovered memories and backstory, and more of an incredibly strong fmc growing into her power.
Not to mention the Corvids, Elco, and Aurora!
I love the concept of an unrealized past life and forgotten memories, and how the recovering of that knowledge was a complete game changer for the plot!!
I loved how this created conflict within Seda’s heart and romantic desires, and can’t wait to see how that plays out in the next book.
More than anything, I love that this unique world Dee Manine has blessed us with combines the best of dystopian and romantasy, while still being relatable and taking you to the depths of human emotion.
I am a fan for life, and eagerly awaiting the next installment!
This series oozes suspense and secrecy. Corvid Wings builds confidently on Corvid Whispers (book 1), with even more lore and new creatures. The romantic tension is exquisite and I'm so torn between Cahir's devoted, possessive yearning and Kalon's wicked tongue and mysterious reveals.
This story has unexpected twists and reveals, with well paced tension that kept me so engaged. I really enjoyed how crumbs of information were scattered throughout, so being attentive felt rewarding. Those 'OHHHH' moments landed well.
The banter and wit had me giggling, adding levity without undercutting the darker themes. There were moments where I was laughing, tearing up, and feeling emotionally moved. Elco once again is one of my favourites 🥺. His loyalty to Seda is so moving.
If you like these, check it out! 🔥obsessive yearning 🖤dark fantasy romance 🔥slow burn pays off 🖤monsters & mystery 🔥witty banter 🖤FMC in her 30s 🔥dystopian 🖤multi POV 🔥suspense 🖤love triangle
Corvid Wings is book 2 in The Amethyst Wrath series. It is an action packed slow burn romantasy with a unique plot. In this book Seda really grows into her own. She begins to learn and understand her power, she takes ownership of her body and choices. She learns not everything is at seems and begins to find clarity.
There’s magic, gods, monsters, shifters and a battle of good and evil. The characters are so loveable and I love the way we are given the story from multiple view points. There’s twists and turns around every corner that genuinely surprised me. You will laugh and you will cry. I am really looking forward to seeing what comes next in Sedas story.
I was lucky to receive an ARC of Corvid Wings and I am happy to leave me honest review. I highly recommend checking this series out!
I’ve been here since *Corvid Whispers* and NOTHING could’ve prepared me for this chaos. The twists? The characters?? I was SPEEDING through this book like my life depended on it.
My only confusion was Mordred….but not too invested to investigate further.
But let’s talk about it…
Benny. Just… Benny. I am choosing denial.
Love interest??? Listen—I believe in *why choose* 👀 …but for now I remain loyal… Team Cahir has my heart (for the moment 😭).
AND LUELLE?? Do. Not. Touch. Her. I am not asking nicely.
And then you had the AUDACITY to give Benny a companion??? …jail. Immediately.
🔥 Spice: This slow burn?? EXCUSE ME?? It crept up and then suddenly I was like 👀🤭 Seda… you little menace. I see you.

I was anticipating this book so much and it did not disappoint. In this book we learn more about the world and the magic. There are new fun and not so fun characters. Several gasp-worthy twists and quite a lot of heartbreak. Our love triangle wasn’t triangling throughout most of the book, but towards the end it’s back, and I don’t know how to feel about it. I had a clear favorite but now I like them both, but I don’t see how that would ever happen. I really need book 3 immediately because we are still missing some info and of course there is a big new villain out there. Really great series with a unique world.
Every now and a series comes along and it is true perfection and for me it is this series.
I had the privilege to read the first book as an ARC and devoured it. So when the opportunity came to read the second book as an ARC of course I ran in with open arms.
I was right back in the dystopian mythical land with Seda and the crew the moment it landed in my inbox. Then I was like hang on girl take your time because if the first book is anything to go by you need to take a moment cause there will be some crazy cliffhangers. And well I give myself really good advice because damn those twists and cliffhangers. With this book we get to learn more about Kalon (aka my newest book boyfriend), the other side characters and spend time in Cahir’s city. Some questions are answered and new ones are raised leaving us ready for book three.
If you enjoyed books like the ACOTAR series and Quicksilver, appreciate strong female main characters finding their power, supportive friends and a love triangle then I highly recommend giving this series a read.
When I read a book I love I find writing a review can be tricky cos I just want to be like look “it’s awesome just read and you’ll understand” and I know sometimes that’s not enough and I mean people may not like the same books I like but seriously just read it and thank me later.
~ ARC read ~ Corvid Wings ~ Amethyst Wrath ~ dark fantasy ~ dystopian ~ romantasy ~
This book wasn't what I expected from the moment I picked it up I was intrigued and couldn't put it down. I learned a lot about their world and magic coming in on the second book I missed some stuff from the first but it was easy to pick up on and know what's going on. The character growth and the build up was definitely worth it to read. I want to live in their world.
This action packed slow burn romance is definitely one I will be recommending to my book friends. I couldn't put it down when I had the time to read.
I received this book as an arc and am giving my full honest opinion.

This book wasn't what I expected it was everything and more from the moment I picked it up I was intrigued and couldn't put it down.
I received a review readers copy of this story, and this is my honest review. I really enjoyed this book! The characters and their developments (individually and within the love triangle) were full of depth and emotion that kept me feeling connected and invested in them. The world building had me enraptured, making it really seem like I was there instead of just reading words on a page. The story moved forward and was so exciting and demanding of attention without being overwhelming or over the top that I just kept going and going. I'm excited to see where the story continues from here in book 3!
Corvid Wings is the second book in the series, and I couldn't put it down. I loved how it held my attention the entire time. I also really liked how all the characters were flawed in their own way. Seda really came into her own in this book, too. She was more confident. Also I didn't see the twists coming which is something I really appreciate. Highly recommend this series for people who like romantasy with dark elements.
Wow! I loved the first book in this series, but this second one is even better. More in-depth world building, more and multiple character growth, more mysteries yet also more clues to previous mysteries, more chaos mixed in with sweet, cinematic scenes. There are also some heartbreaking scenes that made the stakes for each character feel real. Oh, and the slow burn starts to speed up, a lot ;)
Corvid Wings lulled me into a sense of comfort before reminding me that nothing beautiful stays untouched. The world feels alive, the characters feel real, and the emotional whiplash is brutal in the best way. I cared, I worried, I doubted, I was betrayed — and now I’m sitting here in a full-blown book hangover wondering how to move on.
Once again, couldn't put it down! I spent my entire Sunday reading this book! The tension between Soren, Cahir and Kalon was amazing and I'm already so stoked for the next book! Also loving the side romances 😭 I gotta know how it ends! 🤣
BOOK 2 SO GOOD! I really enjoyed how book 1 of this series went, and this book lived up to my hype. There were some weird moments of what felt like a love triangle, and that’s still a possibility, but I really liked the relationship between Seda And Cahir. The epilogue has me so ready for book 3!
Thank you to Dee Mannine and BookSirens for this ARC!
I was lucky enough to arc read Corvid Wings and I was so excited to see where the story is headed! The story has morphed from sci-fi dystopian to full on fantasy. There is more Magic and More Romance AND way more to the story then we thought in book one. This Story connects the dots of book one and weaves more web to leave us wanting! Just when I thought I understood something it changed direction! We've got Kings, Magic, Gods, Secrets, love, loss ( I love an author not afraid to kill off the unexpected!) and found family! What more could you want from a series? I cant wait for book 3 so we can see how some of these new dynamics will play out.
