It's been eight years since a wildfire consumed the town of Heaven's Peak. Jennifer Miller, now sixteen, remembers nothing of the tragedies she endured as a child. That’s until memories begin surfacing in her dreams, echoes from her past growing louder each night.
Desperate for answers and haunted by nightmares, Jennifer returns to the now-desolate town of Heaven’s Peak.
But rumors speak of strange sightings, mysterious disappearances, and creatures that lurk in the dark.
Are the legends surrounding the ghost town true? The deeper she digs, the more Jennifer uncovers a truth buried beneath the town, about what happened, and about herself.
She thought the nightmare ended eight years ago.
She was wrong.
Devil’s Pit is the direct sequel to Heaven’s Peak. Dive deeper into the heart of the cursed town in a frantic search for answers. Although some mysteries might be best left unsolved.
Devil's Pit by Miguel Estrada This was a pretty good horror book. It didn't have constant terror or suspense. It was subtle and creeped up on the reader. This would be good for the folks who don't want anything too scary but still want to be a little scared. My niece is like that so I am going to recommend this book to her.
It was alright, if you are looking for someone writing a descriptive synopsis of a silent hill game. Right down to finding convenient maps, documents and creature descriptions.
I wasn't surprised to find that Silent Hill downpour has a music track by the same name. The book is "heavily inspired".
