Marcellus: House of Drakos

Rate this book
Billionaire aeronautics engineer Marcellus Drakos, the estranged half-brother of industrialist Alex Drakos, is no stranger to danger. Born on the rough backstreets of Paris, France to a penniless prostitute and a wealthy Greek father that abandoned him, he learned early on how to scrape and claw for everything he achieved. Once he reached the top of his profession and became the third most powerful aircraft manufacturer in the world, behind only Boeing and Airbus, he was more than happy to live out the rest of his days on his own private island. A lonely man, he paid for company rather than suffer the indignities of being used for his money and power.

But when his planes begin to malfunction at a rate unheard of in aviation history and bodies start piling up, the public outcry drives him out of the shadows and into a spotlight he lived his life to avoid. And when one of his sons is kidnapped and the rest of his children, all of whom work for him, may be in danger too, he can hide out no longer. But once in that spotlight, he finds something he never thought possible for a man like He finds true love. . .

Savannah Richardson spent the vast majority of her life looking for love in all the wrong places. From crooks to con artists to very successful brothers who treated her as if she was never their one and only, she had it up to here with men. But when her boss, the son of a billionaire, goes missing, and his father wants to know everything she can tell him, she reluctantly goes to his Chicago mansion to see if she can help. She never dreamed, in her wildest of dreams, that she’d never leave his side.

But when circumstances begin to spiral out of even Marcellus’s control, he knows he needs the kind of help only his estranged half-brothers, Alex and Oz Drakos, can give to him. With his family’s safety on the line, the two Drakos families finally come together to save everything Marcellus holds dear, and to once and for all reunite the Drakos family legacy.

House of Drakos is the first book in the new Romantic Suspense Thriller series that tells the stories of a different Drakos family from across the tracks.

Omg, omg!

Marcellus was so Leary of giving his heart to love. He had five children and four baby mommas. That would have been a turn off to me personally. But she he met Savannah for the first time he felt a connection. She was unlike any woman he knew. From that one time meeting, he tried to find that connection with other women but failed. Eight years later, she she desperately tried to tell his family that her gut told her Niko, his son was missing, he vowed not to turn her a loose. His baby mommas didn't like the attention but Marcellus didn't care what they thought.

When his troubles was turning from bad to worse he was forced to turn to the help of his half brothers. They'd never met each other but had fed falsehoods about each other. They got off to a rocky start, especially Oz and Marcellus. How their fight was ended was so funny. But in the end, the brothers came together to help Marcellus and mend their misgivings about each other.

I loved how Marvelus didn't hesitate to take up for Vanna. Her presence just standing by him calmed his spirit. After all of the family trauma was over, Marcellus knew that she was the one for him to have an HEA with.

Welcome to the Drakos family Marcellus & Savannah!

When I read about Marcellus and his multi baby mothers and that the one who held favor with him was African American....I was like - ok, hold up...Another Mick???...Well...there are overtones of Mr Mick The Tic ...but, Marcellus showed there was a distinction! And, there is some similarities between Roz and Savannah - however, whereas Roz knows how far she can take it with Mick - and she may put her toe on that line...Savannah keeps it stepping with Marcellus - and she draws the line! Lol...
I love how the merging of Marcellus, Alex and Oz was bumpy, but, they came together to handle business. I am looking forward to more of the Drakos brothers....It's time to find out what is going on with Oz!

Great storyline

Loved the book. I like Savannah from the beginning. And Marcellus could give Dapper Tom a very good run for his money. Dang that man looks awesome. Those baby Mama's need to go the hack home. There were still typos but much better Ms. Monroe.

Marcellus

I enjoyed the action that keeps the pages turning. The reunion of the siblings was a touching event and a reminder that knowing somebody else story before judgment is crucial. Great read and happy ending

This was really good! I am looking forward to more of Marcellus and the rest of the Drakos family and how they interact with each other! I am sure that Vanna will get along with Roz (Mick the Tick's) wife whenever there will be interaction between the Drakos and Sinatra's! I always love the way that Mallory Monroe brings all the families together for social events (cookouts, parties, etc.) especially after they had to come together in support of each other against enemy factions! Great story!

Savannah, I believe might be attracted to Marcellus, but I don’t think she taught there will be a there there for her.
1) He is way above her league
2) There is the age difference
3) He has three baby mamas already and he didn’t marry anyone of them
4) He has four adult children, one of whom she works for
5) He’s bad news all around where matter of the heart is concerned

Despite all the above? The heart wants what it wants. So started this sexual affair that migrated to romance.
There’s the suspense of the kidnapping of her boss (one of Marcellus’s kids), the rescue, the plane disasters, and the kidnapping of another Marcellus’s kids. All the mishaps made for an interesting read.

This is another scorcher from this author. Love it….
