Touch Starved
I'm quiet. I like being by myself. I'm used to solitude, and there's nothing wrong with that. Just before I turn 19, tragedy happens, and I end up living with my dad and uncle. When my uncle goes in for a reassuring hug and I flinch, it quickly becomes obvious how touch starved I am. Dad and Uncle Evan start to spend more time with me. Dad and I regularly curl up at night and watch TV, while Uncle Evan is always there with a hug or a reassuring touch.
I'm no longer touch starved, but I soon realize I want more from both my dad and my uncle. But that can't happen, right?

A 🔥smutty🔥 hot, sweet taboo ('cest 🩸) MMM romance with moderate pacing except 2 instances where I was like "that escalated quickly!", Warning: this book can get you horny.
I started this as the clock struck midnight & halloween started, I wanted to complete it in 1 day but alas, I was too tired by travelling the day. But still, I read my #ARC in around 7hrs over 2days. It's my 1st book of Nov (& last book of Nov that I wrote review for—better late than never 🥹).
Declan (~19) is awkward, shy & just got his life changed when his mom dies & he moves in with his Uncle. He's fidgety & as noticed—touch starved (hence gets all the touches!).
Uncle Evan is cheerful, gentle, easygoing & observant. Declan's Dad Jude was in army. J's caring, worries & can be dominating 🤭, but been trying to mend his relationship with his son.
It's been so long since I've read a single POV book. I'd've liked to see E+J's povs but D's pov made everything obvious so I didn't feel I missed anything. It was Abby's 1st full length book & I think it was a good job!
Story pulls no punches 😂. D sees his Uncle & Dad doing it in Ch 2 🤭. Still, I'm glad to see *some* overthinking/talks as the triad smut kicks in! Evan is a sweetheart, barely caused any issues (so I kinda felt he didn't get as much focus), especially about D+J. I get D+J's bond's special but 😭 - so glad D does fall for Ev eventually 🥹. I want a J+E's past in novella 😍.
I LOVE that they don't stop calling eachother Son/Dad/Uncle/Brother just cuz they're together (unlike in most lol), kinky dirty talk 😏🫠.
It's spicy HOT 🔥. Angst isn't high so it's filled with FILTHY smut 🥵 & story beats of a novella. We do get a conflict/separation 🥺 but it's root cause is understandable/typical of taboo IYKYK. It's educational 🫡, leads to growth. Dec blooms into himself, so I'm glad.
As a triad, they gotta work on their insecurities, but they seem happy so it's ok. I love how J+E reassure D, how J+E become more open of their love due to D. They need patience with eachother & they have it. I'm sad J took fingering but didn't switch lol 😂. Sweet ending!

This was taboo, yes, but also a sweet read. It's so nice to get a full-length taboo book. The story connects Declan with his dad and uncle. And the spice is hot!

After being together for a bit Evan notices that just minor physical touch shocks Declan and he may not have had the warmest environment with just him and his mom so Evan is going to fix just how touch Starved Declan is.
Declan soon catches on that His Dad and Uncle Evan have a very different kind of brother relationship and is intrigued to find that he isn't actually shocked by this but more so wants so finally be included in something loving like they have.
This story is obviously SUPER cesty 🤣 and extremely hot 🔥🥵 But beyond that this is a story about personal growth and gaining self confidence. There is a 3rd Act Break Up or like falling out maybe so just a small heads up there but other then that it was super angsty either. This is another great one by Abby where you get all the feels with your cesty spice!

The sex scenes were decent (if a bit repetitive), but the story and characters were not up to Harrison's usual high standards. The narrator, Declan, was really immature, even for a nineteen years old, and the forced crisis that was introduced into the story was artificial.

This was such an amazing story. I loved that this was a longer story as well. This was a good mix of hurt/comfort and spicy, kinky smutty cest. This story follows Declan, Jude, and Ethan. Declan is living with his Uncle Ethan after his mom passed away. His dad Jude is retiring from the army and is now living with them. Declan walks in on his dad and uncle in a comprising position. One thing leads to another and all three are pining for each other. Sweet Declan is touch starved and hasn't had any love or a bf. Between his dad and uncle, he is on overdrive and loving this new era of his life. Uncle Ethan is so sweet but wild. Jude is sweet, loving, but very dominant. There are a few bumps in the for this throuple, but love wins in the end. The spice and kink in this book was chef's kiss 🔥🔥🔥🔥. The mouth on Jude and Ethan was 💦💦😏. I loved the dynamics between all three of them 🥵🥵. It was interesting seeing Declan with his dad as a son vs a love interest. I hope we get more from these characters. This author is such an amazing writer. I love everything this author writes 🥰.

It’s such a rarity to get ultra taboo as a full length book, not just a novella, but Touch Starved delivers just that.
Declan is 19, and while he by no means grew up neglected, he didn’t encounter a lot of affection. After the death of his Mom he moves in with his Uncle Evan while his military Dad is discharged from the army. From that moment he experiences affection in abundance!
There was something kinda heartwarming about this Dad, Son, and Uncle story. It was great to have a little more meat on the bones and a bit more depth to the characters. While there is heaps of spice, there are also a lot of sweet moments too!

Declan was the sweetest boy. He just needed to be touched and loved so much, that it took two men to do it.
I loved the relationship between all 3 men. But especially between Jude & Evan. I'd love to have seen more glimpses into their relationship.

Would've been 4 stars for me, but it reminded me a bit too much of Stalk Me by Kaitlyn Ash, and Son Makes Three by Rod Rey. This was different enough that I still enjoyed it very much, and it was nice that it was a longer story than the average MM erotica.

Declan is a shy, touch starved young man who just needed to be shown some love and tenderness, and I totally appreciated the way both Jude and Evan approached and handled the new feelings developing between them.

This super cesty read will give you more than you bargain for with its high spice and an abundance of all angsty feelings you could hope for. My heart was constantly aching for Declan, it is clear from the beginning that his lack of a warm upbringing has left him with the emotional intelligence deficit, but dear Uncle Evan makes it a point to ensure that Declan’s has all the love and care that he had been missing out on all along. While I am not often a fan of a 3rd act breakup, the one that was utilized in this actually served a purpose that allowed for character growth that Declan was in severe need of. Declan and his dad’s time apart allowed them both to put a lot of things into perspective and made them all the better for it. These characters definitely earned their HEA.

Though the sexting and visits while Declan was away was also hot and angsty. I was so afraid that his constant calling of Evan by "uncle" and Jude by "dad" would be discovered by someone, but thankfully, don't need to worry about any discovery angsty scenes.
This was almost perfect, because as I said, I would've loved to see Declan/Evan/Jude smut scenes in the office too. It's still 5 stars for me since I loved everything about this. Need a sequel please!
