She created a fearless woman. Now she can't control her.
Everyone has a B side. The problem arises when it comes to life and steals your story.
Alberta plans to travel to Madrid to write her new book, but instead, she decides to send her character Beta to explore the city on her behalf. The author finds everything she needs in the virtual world to convince others that she’s truly there. That is, until Beta steals her narrative, refuses to stay on the page, hijacks Alberta’s social media, rewrites her novel, and claims her own voice.
She forces Alberta into a frantic rush to leave her comfort zone and track her down. Alberta begins to fear that Beta may not be as virtual as she thought. A sharp, provocative tale of identity, authorship, and the wild power of female reinvention.
