I’ve spent five years hiding in plain sight, burying my head in my books, courtesy of a scholarship at Dublin's most prestigious college. But now, for the first time in my life, I feel seen. Wanted. Desired. And I've awakened a need I never knew I had.
Enter James Beckett, a billionaire bachelor with a reputation as famous as his family’s whiskey empire, and he wants me to be his fake girlfriend until he conquers the next part of his empire.
He'll even tutor me through my final exams... and anything else I require tuition in.
But some educations come at a devastating price.
Our arrangement will either secure my future, or shatter my world…
Yet another scandal means I'm heartbeat away from being fired as CEO from my own family's whiskey distillery, unless I can prove to my father and The Board that I’ve shed my playboy reputation.
The last thing I want is a showpiece society wife.
Especially when I'm obsessed with The Luxor Lounge's newest dancer.
At only twenty-three, Scarlett radiates an innocence that drives me wild.
Fooling around with my fake girlfriend was always part of my plan.
Falling for her wasn’t.
She's everything I crave, but everything my father forbids.
Even if I can convince him that Scarlett is the one for me, she’s been keeping a secret.
Wreck Me is a secret identity, rivals to lovers, forbidden love, age gap, relationship of convenience, slow burn, billionaire romance. Scarlett is finishing her last year of college and is ready to get out of Dublin to see the world. She’s been in hiding from her step brothers who have threatened to kill her for putting their father behind bars. She’s been very good at keeping under the radar, working hard, and focusing on school. Needing more money, she starts working at a club as a pole dancer where she meets James. James Becket is CEO of his family’s whiskey empire and is in danger of being fired because of a scandal. He is given the ultimatum to find a wife to fix his image, or lose his job. After seeing Scarlett at the club, he just can’t get her out of his head! So they both make a deal to act as a couple until his scandal dies down and she graduates from college.
The relationship between James and Scarlett was sweet and spicy 🌶️ I really liked the obsessive and accepting love James had for Scarlett ❤️ Of course he was attracted to her, but he wanted to make her happy and keep her safe which made the story better to me. I also loved the protective family dynamic and how each brother had their role to play in the story.
The audiobook was duet narrated and it was really good! Avery Caris did so well with her accent and portrayal of Scarlett. Sean Masters with an accent made me swoon and he was perfect for James ❤️ This book was spicy, but had an interesting story weaved in! The twists kept me entertained as well and the epilogue made me run to get the second book! This was my first book from this author and I’ll definitely be checking out more from them ❤️
I’ve heard such amazing things about this series, and I knew I had to listen to at least one before meeting the author in May—and wow, people were right.
L.A. Gallagher is an incredible writer. The dialogue, the story, the characters… everything works together so seamlessly. I found myself laughing, smiling, and even giggling at times because I was so invested in these characters.
Avery Caris did a wonderful job with her Irish accent, and Sean—well, he earned his nickname from me, King of Accents, for a reason. The two of them absolutely brought this story to life.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 stars! I can’t wait to dive into more books in the Beckett Brothers series!
