With the world on the brink of annihilation from an apocalyptic CME, Captain Michael Powell’s work is far from over. The underwater city of Verne’s Sanctum is ready to receive its first terrified residents, but a new battle is just beginning on the surface. Powell’s farm, once a simple homestead, has become a vital sanctuary for his extended family.
As civilization crumbles, the fight for survival turns brutal and personal. From repelling pirate attacks on the high seas to engaging in desperate firefights on Texas soil, Powell and his crew discover that the greatest threat doesn’t come from the eruption of the sun, but the darkness in the hearts of men.
When the storm finally hits, the fight for humanity’s future will be waged in the eerie silence of the deep, the chaos of the scorched earth, and the courage to rebuild from the ashes. The thrilling sequel to Verne's Sanctum proves that saving the world and protecting your family are two very different battles.
So darn good, here I am out of hospital and the first thing I do is pick up my book. This was amazing So glad Cap and Bob are ok, wonder what plans Thoth has for Cap.
With all of the AI stuff going on this isn't too far fetched. Today Amazonsaid they were going to replace 600,000 employees with robots. It's a crazy world. The plot isn't too far fetched.
I have followed this series and want more stories of the family as they rebuild the world! Please more books.Great characters and action but not a lot excessive violence just enough to keep you turning the page.
Just as good as the first volume. An excellent addition to the As The Light Dies World. Always memorable characters you can't help but root for with good action and plot.
