My library ordered this book for me from a school library, as it's geared to elementary or middle school kids. It's also perfect for adults who are curious, like me, about the life of the Bald Eagle. Every page has stunning photos of a family of eagles, accompanied by fascinating facts. For example, "Bald Eagle nests are among the largest of any bird species, with some weighing over 1,000 pounds and being used for fifty years or more." The one in the photo on this page has four nestlings, "so it must be about eight feet across and three feet deep in the bowl." The book answered many questions I'd had about these magnificent birds, now so common in the Pacific Northwest.
