The realm chose her. The courts condemn her. And Avalon itself is starting to unravel.
Haunted by visions of ancient queens and hunted by those who would see her fall, Tana must uncover the truth buried in Avalon’s past— before history repeats its bloodiest war.
Rebekah Sinclair writes books that bite back. Dark rom-coms. Greek mythology retellings. Wicked fae. Billionaire antiheroes. Her stories blend unhinged humor, high-stakes heat, and emotional wreckage you’ll thank her for later.
With 11 published novels (and plenty more on the way), Rebekah has built a world of morally gray men, stabby women, and plot twists that hit like a betrayal kink. Whether you’re into serial killers with soft spots, gods who fall too hard, or fae realms soaked in shadow, there’s a love story in her lineup that will ruin you—in the best way.
Off the page, Rebekah is a single mom to five wildly chaotic kids and four fur-babies (two cats, two dogs, all equally dramatic). Writing started as her escape. Now it's her full-blown career, complete with exclusive covers, spicy book boxes, and signings where readers show up wearing eyeliner sharper than her plot twists.
When she’s not writing, she’s probably hiding from her kids in the pantry, pretending to be brainstorming.
Welcome to Rebekah Sinclair’s world. The spice is high. The stakes are higher. And no one makes it out emotionally intact.
Omg this book was so good!!! I love all of Rebekah's writings, but fantasy is where she really shines at least in my opinion especially as they are multibook series and the way she develops the stories and the characters over them is just something she does so well. All leading up to a final book where I am sure she will not only have some amazing twists we don't see coming but also break our hearts in some way or another. So many of the side characters in this book are just as enjoyable as the MCs that it's hard for me to choose a favorite from Merlin, the little storm cloud or Mor.
Now for this book I think is where Tana the FMC really shinned. Here you can see how smart, strong and capable and she knows who she is and won't let anyone not even the MMC get in her way of her keeping Avlon and its people safe. But people keep underestimating her because she is not Fae and she just keeps proving how that is the last thing they should do, but she can more than hold her own against the FAE and their trickery. This was also proven with each trial she underwent as the Queen Rising and each challenge was so well done I didn't know how they were going to go. Especially the last one. But the ending of this book, the last 10% had my heart pounding and I can't wait to see what happens in the next book which I need now.
---- This book is about Tana who has now been chosen by the realm of Avalon as the Chosen Queen. But before she can become the chosen queen, she as the queen rising must complete a set of trials to prove her worth. But while the realm may have chosen her that doesn't mean the Fae and different courts have chosen her and some have now started plotting against the Chosen Queen. Which means Tana is fighting two different battles, one a battle against the encroaching darkness that is killing the land and the other are the Fae who seek to unseat her before she ever has a chance to sit on the throne. Both fights are tearing Avalon apart the only way for her to have a chance is by uncovering the buried truths of the past to help her claim her throne before they are all destroyed.
I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
The Queen’s Coronation by Rebekah Sinclair, Book 2 in the Return to Avalon series
Rebekah Sinclair has done it AGAIN. Every time she releases a book, I’m convinced it can’t get better and then it does. Queen’s Coronation completely took me out in the best way. From page one, I felt like I was back in this world, living every moment with these characters.
This sequel brings royal drama, political manoeuvring, dangerous magic, emotional intensity, and the kind of tension that just keeps building. The stakes feel real. The court environment is sharp, messy, and addictive to follow. And the character growth.... So satisfying. I was genuinely invested in every decision, every alliance, every shift in power.
And yes the spice is spicing. It’s hot, addictive, and done SO well. It never overshadows the plot instead, it turns up the heat in the best way and strengthens the connection between the characters. This book had me questioning myself a few times 👀🔥
One of my favourite things about Rebekah’s writing is how deeply you feel every moment. She makes you connect with the characters so naturally that their highs, lows, and shocks all hit exactly the way they should. There were scenes that made me laugh, scenes that hit hard, and scenes that left me absolutely gone.
And that cliffhanger? I swear I had a full Klaus Mikaelson “REBEKAH!” moment. I am not okay.
If you love fantasy romance with: ✨ slow burn ✨ forced proximity ✨ court intrigue ✨ magic ✨ high stakes ✨ addictive tension ✨ and spice that DELIVERS you NEED this series in your life.
Queen’s Coronation gave me everything I wanted from a sequel and more. Added to my favourites list. Now I’ll just be here… patiently (not really) waiting for book 3.
A Spellbinding, Fierce, and Lush Fantasy Worthy of a Queen
The Queen’s Coronation by Rebekah Sinclair is the kind of book that reminds you why fantasy exists—to sweep you away, break your heart a little, and make you believe in magic all over again.
From the very first page, the tension is razor-sharp. The realm may have chosen Tana, but every step she takes is shadowed by suspicion, betrayal, and the crushing weight of a crown she never asked for. Sinclair paints a world where the courts play deadly games, alliances shift like smoke, and ancient power stirs beneath Avalon's skin.
Tana is a heroine you feel—haunted by visions of queens long dead, hunted by enemies who would rather see her throne bathed in blood than accept her rule. Her journey into Avalon’s buried past isn’t just gripping; it’s emotionally explosive. Every revelation tightens the noose around her, and every truth she uncovers threatens to shatter a kingdom already teetering on the edge of ruin.
Sinclair’s writing is lush, atmospheric, and achingly beautiful. The world-building is rich without ever feeling heavy, and Avalon itself becomes a character—mysterious, ancient, and fracturing under the weight of forgotten sins.
By the time the final chapters arrive, the tension is unrelenting. History is preparing to repeat its most violent cycle, and Tana’s desperate push to stop it turns every page into a countdown.
If you love political intrigue, prophecies, morally gray courts, ancient magic, and heroines who rise even when the world tries to crush them, The Queen’s Coronation is an absolute must-read.
Sinclair delivers a masterpiece of myth, power, and destiny.

The Queen’s Coronation picks up seamlessly where Assassin of the Gods left off, pulling you straight back into the magic, action, and explosive tension of Avalon. Tana and Orion’s journey to uncover the source of the growing darkness plaguing the realm drives the story forward at a gripping pace, and I loved how the trials of the Queen Rising (Tana) weren’t separate side quests but seamlessly woven into the their mission. It made every challenge feel purposeful and deeply connected to Tana’s destiny.
Tana (FMC) is one of the fiercest, most badass characters I’ve ever read. She is constantly underestimated and she has zero problems with showing her enemies exactly what she’s capable of, time and time again!
This book is full of twists, surprises, and jaw-dropping revelations. We finally get the background on Tana that book one hinted at, and it adds so much depth to her character and her place in Avalon’s fate.
And then… the romance. Whew 🥵 Rebekah did not hold back. The chemistry between Tana and Orion is literally out of this realm, and some scenes had me genuinely blushing. It was glorious!
While The Queen’s Coronation does give plenty of clarity, it also makes one thing rather obvious… this series is only just getting started. There are still so many questions, so many secrets, and I cannot wait to see where Tana and Orion’s journey leads next.
A fantastic follow-up that deepens the world, raises the stakes, and delivers on both magic and spice. Needless to say, I’m absolutely hooked.

Tana is chosen by the realm but not the people and must fight through her own insecurities to claim the power of the realm and save Avalon. Facing the trials as queen rising, she and Orion must navigate a slew of politics destroy her in everyway while discovering a story erased from history that can save them all.
This Arthurian retelling is unlike any other. Rebekah is putting on a master class of how to take a classically known story and tell it in a refreshing new way as she already showed us with "The Forgotten Goddess" series. while the pacing is slow (unbearably so at times) the last 120 pages are absolutely un-put-down-able as you are swallowed into the battle of Avalon's future. While book ones covers the pulling the sword from the stone, book two provides us with some familiar Arthurian characters who do not disappoint. Honestly, she's putting on two master classes because her characters and their development are honestly top tier which can be hard to do alongside world building and with the sheer amount of characters in this story. All in all, a well thought out read and I'm very much anticipating how our queen lives up to her calling card.
Rebekah Sinclair truly writes masterpieces! The Queen's Coronation does not disappoint. This is book 2 in Return To Avalon series. This is connected to the Forgotten Goddess Series. The amount of character and world building that has been done to create these books is incredible.
I could go on and on about these characters for days. I honestly couldn't even pick a favorite. Tana is everything you need in a queen, Orion is the whole yummy package that every queen needs. Mor would probably be my favorite if I had to chose... who doesn't want a female with three personalities who lives to eat, is absolutely ruthless to her enemies and just a plain force to be reckoned with.
As a fantasy dark romance this was a perfect book. Everything from the beginning to the ending. It starts right where it was left off and ends in the perfect spot. I can't say enough good things about this book. If you haven't started these series, you are truly missing out. Not to mention that the dedication nearly wrecked me. Thank you for that. Definitely speaks to your character!
The Queen’s Coronation pulled me straight into Avalon’s crumbling world. The story mixes magic, danger, and court drama in a way that feels alive and urgent. Every twist made me want to know more, and the visions of ancient queens gave the whole book a haunting edge. It’s the kind of tale that makes you forget time while you’re reading.
Tana is the kind of heroine who stays with you. She’s strong, but what really struck me was how real her struggles felt. Being chosen yet condemned gave her journey so much weight, and her visions tied her to Avalon’s past in a powerful way. Watching her grow into her role was both painful and inspiring, and I couldn’t help but cheer for her even when everything seemed stacked against her.
Orion brought the fire. He’s sharp, stubborn, and impossible to ignore. The tension between him and Tana lit up every scene they shared — full of sparks, defiance, and that pull you can’t fight. Their bond felt like destiny, and by the end, I believed their love was as fierce and unstoppable as the war threatening Avalon. Together, they made the story not just about saving a realm, but about finding love in the middle of chaos.
The Queen’s Coronation absolutely delivers. From page one, this sequel swept me right back into Avalon with the same magnetic pull that made book one unforgettable.
Mor is still my reigning favorite (no apologies), but this installment gives Tana all the spotlight she deserves. Watching her step into her power, unravel the truth, and piece together Avalon's past felt like watching the moon rise over a battlefield. And yes, I absolutely reread the end of book one to make sure my rage was justified… and it was. 😂
Returning to Avalon felt like coming home… if home came with visions of ancient queens, political enemies, and plot twists that yank the rug out from under you. I have questions. I need answers. I need book three.
If you love spicy fantasy romance, witty banter, found-family threads, prophecies, and the kind of cliffhanger that makes you stare into the void… run. Don’t walk. 🏃♀️✨

I was privileged enough to be given the ARC for this book. I did not know what to expect while reading The Queens Coronation, I was unable to guess what was about to happen and the twists had my jaw dropping. We see a lot of character growth in Tana and Orion, both overcoming internal struggles that they were facing. This book has a bit more spice then the first, however if that is not your thing it is easily skipped and doesn't effect the storyline if you miss it. I really enjoyed reading the growth of Tana, and the ending had me feeling so many emotions in such a short period of time. I can not wait to see how Tana's story continues.
OMG!!!!!! Rebekah has outdone herself again, this book kept me on my toes!!! The tension, the hearing, the power. Everyone keeps underestimating Tana and she is having none of it. You have revelations revealed, pasts scrubbed from the history and a transformation of the ages. With a cast of side characters and the world building I feel as if im fighting right beside these characters. That ending though oh my.... I for one cant wait to see what comes next!!!!! If I could rate it more than 5 stars I would. Oh and the spice good lord ladies she will make you drool.
Am I surprised that Rebekah Sinclair absolutely nailed it yet again? Absolutely NOT!
The Queen‘s coronation gave us EVERYTHING!!!
Spice, big-time spice too not just a little hint, not a dash not a smidge ALL the spice. She gave us court intrigue, we’re solving mysteries (Hercule Poirot style) We’re exposing glittery C You Next Tuesdays left and right, as we should. Our female lead Tana is fighting for her life, her throne, her man everything in true valkyrie fashion and looking good every step of the way.
I can’t wait for book 3 🤗

Return to Avalon book 2. A Queens Coronation drew me in and reminded me there is magic in this world. There is a beautiful blend of characters, the setting is painted just right. Tana is the realms chosen Queen, not yet crowned. And must face specific to her trials to prove her worth. It’s not only action packed, witty, and spicy, but emotionally gripping. I urge you to join me on this journey through Avalon.
Rebekah has done it again! And this book did not disappoint!!! The Queen's Coronation is book 2 in the Return to Avalon series and starts off where we were left in book 1. The plot thickens with more world building, court politics, a few twists, super spicy times, banter, battle action, and hilarious moments with our new favorite side characters. Definitely a page turner. Loving this series and can't wait to see where it goes. I received an arc of this book and all opinions are my own.
I was selected as an arc reader for this book and man it was genuinely so good and ugh the spice, the tension, the enemies to lovers was everything to me especially when she was the chosen one and human and she actually proved she could do it without powers she was so cool and i loved the enemies to lovers with mates and the way they had so much tension it made the spice scenes even better. But there is a giant cliffhanger omg that was so evil
Ok I’m not *quite* finished but I’ve read more than enough to know this is an easy 5 stars! I’ll be back to flesh this out later but this book, this series, this author are all incredible. This FMC is not your typical fantasy damsel- she is raw and real and powerful and Orion is EVERYTHINGGGGG 🫠 this woman knows what I like in a man and delivers every 👏 damn👏 time!👏
Oh my god this book was so good!!! I love all of Rebekah's writings, but when writes fantasy that is where she really shines at least that’s my opinion especially as they are multibook series’s and the way she develops the stories and the characters over them is just something she does so well. This book has me hooked from start to finish and I just couldn’t put it down.
Rebekah has quickly become one of my all time favorite fantasy writers. She has this incredible talent when it comes to making fantastical worlds and even wilder characters. I devoured book 1 and The Queens Corination was even better if possible. I couldn't put the book down. I can not wait to see what comes next.
Whew, what a whirlwind. The tension in this book keeps getting higher and higher.
I love the depth of details in the world building. The lore and mysteries will keep you on the edge. Our female MC is a total baddie rocking politics in this new world and swiping past the hidden messages. I was not ready for the twists and turns in this story but was captivated.
I enjoyed this book it was definitely on the spicy side this one was but the story and plot keep you hooked and wanting to see what’s going to happen next and I have a new favorite side character that makes you laugh
Omg so much happens and some many things left unsaid and unraveled. I need to know what their thoughts are. I need to see where they go from here. Some many questions all good though I loved this. I did have to skip some spice scenes just because there were so many lol but I still loved it.
Rebekah has done it again! I love her writing style and the way she develops the characters, storytelling and the world building. 🤌Oh and those spicy scenes were 5stars as well! The way this one ended has me waiting on baited breathe (per usual for one of Rebekah's books) for the next one to drop!
Holy gods this was amazing. As always a great story line. Well thought out characters. I LOVE Merlin. I need him in more books. Crazy old coot. But damn those cliffhangers. I need the next book NOW
I loved getting drive back into Avalon this was yet another addictive read from Rebekah Sinclair and I could not put it down. I love the beautiful settings and perfect blend of the characters in this one , this had an emotional grip on me. I enjoyed reading this one and loved the spice and I cant not wait to see what happens in the next book.
