Love, love, love romance, the paranormal, hunky Highlanders with their delicious brogue and hot kilts, so Terry Spear writes about those hunky Highlanders both in medieval times and as wolves in contemporary times. Jaguar shifters too! And young adult urban fantasy. And romantic suspense.

She grew up reading mystery, adventure, mythologies from around the world, ghost stories, the paranormal, fell in love with Dracula and Wolfman, and felt they needed loving too. Everyone should have someone to love. Which means her stories always have a HEA.

USA Today Bestseller residing in Central Texas from Sacramento, California who creates award-winning teddy bears too!

Coinneach is a crofter's son who wants to be a warrior for their wolf pack. And when he meets Aisling, a kitchen maid, he wants to work at the castle more than ever. But Aisling's mom is sure there's danger for them all if Coinneach comes to the castle. When Aisling's mom finally shares what she knows, the danger is real. Can they avoid it or will they have to take a stand?

This is one of Terry's newer series and it's been amazing. This book is an exceptional read and a fabulous addition to the series. It's very well-written with well-developed characters and a fast-paced plot. I was drawn into this tantalizing tale and kept hooked from beginning to end. I honestly didn't want to put it down. This spicy, paranormal romance also has intrigue, suspense, and a bit of mystery. It's one of those reads that will capture you and pull you into the story. Terry Spear is an amazing author and storyteller who blends the paranormal with the "real" world in a way that'll make you believe shifters can be true. This book captures family and friendship along with perfectly matched soulmates. I absolutely loved this book and am eager for more. I highly recommend both book and series.

Gripping story with plenty of surprises!

This story is about Coinneach who is raised by crofters outside the clan castle and the beautiful, feisty Aisling who works on the castle kitchen. They both are interested in each other, but there are forces conspiring to keep them apart or kill them!

The pace is fast and the tone is intense with a character and action oriented storyline that has some steamy scenes but not a ton of details. The characters are vibrant and engaging. You do know who the "bad guy" is right from the start, but there are plenty of twists and turns to keep it from being predictable. This is a great addition to the Highland Wolves of Old series. Enjoy!

Terry Spear never disappoints. I absolutely loved revisiting the world of the Highland Wolves of Old and seeing Coinneach and Aisling face challenges and persevere! I hope (and can't wait) for another.
