Swoon worthy! 🫠 Laugh out loud romantic comedy with wit and banter. Age gap romance. FMC was so relatable! Awkward and hilarious. And everyone needs a BFF like Cherise. IYKYK
Special thanks to Armani Noel for giving me the opportunity to read the ARC. LOVED it!
Imagine sliding in your celebrity crush's DMs and getting a response. Like what the heck?! My girl Grace was on cloud 9! But as the story proceeds, you get to have the inside scoop of what really happened. And from there it takes you on a beautiful ride. I had such a fun time reading this rom-com! 🤣 There was never a dull moment. I love when an FMC has a best friend that's extremely hilarious and doesn't play about her. Her best friend reminded me of Tiffany Haddish. I couldn't imagine her as anyone else! She had me crying laughing! I enjoyed myself and can't wait for the next!

“He’s out of her league. She’s everything he didn’t know he needed.”
Okay but why was this so cute?!
Not for the Headlines follows Grace and Grammy-winning heartthrob Logan Fox in a celebrity-meets-normal-girl romance that completely delivers on fun banter, chemistry, and heart.
Grace is honestly what made this book for me. Yes, the celebrity romance trope is always entertaining—but Grace as a character? I just genuinely liked her. I liked who she was, what she was striving for in life, and the depth of her backstory. She’s relatable, a little obsessed with her favorite musician (same, girl), and then when Logan slides into her DMs? The chaos in the best way begins.
One of my favorite parts was the whirlwind of “Is it really him? Is this real life? And if it is… what does that mean?” That tension added such a fun layer to the story. Watching the drama and their connection unfold—was such an enjoyable ride.
There are a few fun, spicy moments that add to the chemistry without overpowering the storyline. It keeps the romance exciting but still grounded in emotional connection.
Overall, this was just a solid, feel-good read. At times it honestly felt like it could be a scripted rom-com or sitcom series. The dialogue, pacing, and banter would translate so well to the screen.
Grace is a waitress just trying to live her life, and then she gets pulled into Logan’s world, and his is a lot. There’s also an age gap between them, which adds another layer to everything going on. Their whole situation starts off messy with the catfishing and everything, and honestly…it stays messy for a while.
I did really like Grace. She doesn’t let herself get molded into what works for Logan’s image, which made a big difference for me. Logan had his moments, but he definitely tested my patience a few times.
The relationship has good tension, but it takes a bit to really get going, and there’s some back and forth that dragged a little for me. Once things start unraveling though, it definitely keeps you hooked.
Overall, not perfect, but still entertaining and I stayed invested.
I absolutely LOVED this book. I really enjoyed the prose and found the characters to be so funny and relatable! There is a note at the beginning of the book where the author warns you that you might laugh so hard you'll pee on yourself. HEED THE WARNING. This story was sweet, spicy and pulled at my heartstrings. I can't wait to read more from this author and to hear more from Cherise (my all time fav!). Highly recommend!
An extremely cute book with a great story line. The book definitely kept me interested and wanting to come back for more! I love such a sweet love story!
A Must-Read Celebrity Rom-Com That’s Equal Parts Heart and Heat Not for Headlines by Armani Noel is a delightful and steamy addition to the contemporary romance genre. This opposites-attract, age-gap, celebrity romance is a refreshingly honest take on falling in love when your life is suddenly, accidentally, in the spotlight. The book grabbed me right away, and I was instantly invested in the relationship between Grace, the relatable waitress with big dreams, and Logan, the Grammy-winning heartthrob. Their slow-burn romance is utterly captivating, built on a foundation of crackling chemistry and fantastic, witty banter. The age gap adds a layer of delicious tension, but it’s the emotional journey that gives the story its incredible depth. Armani Noel masterfully crafts relatable characters facing real challenges, elevating this beyond a typical romance novel. Grace is such an awkward and hilarious heroine, and her best friend, Cherise, steals every scene she’s in with her sassy, loyal charm. Everyone needs a BFF like Cherise! Overall, the pacing is perfectly balanced, allowing for deep character development and maximum emotional investment. Not for Headlines is a well-written, emotionally resonant, and laugh-out-loud romantic comedy. It’s a definite must-read for fans looking for a love story with genuine warmth and a touch of rockstar allure. (A huge thank you to Armani Noel for the opportunity to read this advanced copy.)
Okay, picture this: you slide into your celebrity crush’s DMs and he actually replies, and then you find out you’ve been CATFISHED. 😭 Like… what do you even do? I’d personally die of pure embarrassment and evaporate into the digital void!
But THEN said celeb finds out and decides to make it up to you? Insert every romantic comedy montage ever. This book, my friends, is the whole damn package heart, humor, heat, and Hallmark level happiness! 💕✨ I was HOOKED from page one and didn’t come up for air until I hit the last line.
Logan Fox = “looks like sin and sings like salvation.” 🎤🔥 Grace = “a woman who works three times as harder than everyone else.. and still holds the door for the valet guys.” 👏
Woo chile... Logan Fox was 1000% SWOON WORTHY. Like, I'm pretty sure my Kindle just filed an insurance claim for third degree burns.
and that ending.. “Cue me ugly crying.”
Thank you, Armani Noel, for blessing my diluting my wicked heart with book🥹💌 You’ve officially convinced me to DM my own celebrity crush… and maybe pray he doesn’t block me or file a restraining order 😅😂
Hallmark movie vibes ✅ Laugh-out-loud moments ✅ Heart-fluttering romance ✅ Emotional damage (in the best way) ✅
Not For Headlines is an engaging, emotionally rich story that shines brightest through its character development. The use of flashbacks is truly unmatched, each one adding depth and clarity in a way that made me feel like I genuinely knew these characters. Cherise, especially is the kind of friend everyone wishes they had, and I sincerely hope she becomes the MMC of her own book someday. Grace is beautifully developed as well, her growth feels authentic and I found myself rooting for her from start to finish.
There are a few areas where the story could have been stronger. The book would have benefitted from being a tad longer. The build up, both to the romance and the spice (which was SPICY) was fantastic. There were also multiple plot twist that I absolutely did not see coming. But, once Grace and Logan officially started dating the pacing sped up so quickly that the structure wobbled a bit. A little more time spent on their relationship would have given the story the balance and emotional weight it deserved.
Overall, this was a super fun, addictive read that I devoured in one sitting. It's heartfelt, twisty, and full of personality. It just needed a little more meat on its bones to be a perfect 5 star read. I am really looking forward to reading more books by Armani Noel.

I received an ARC copy and this is my honest review.
Not for Headlines was an absolute delight from start to finish. Genuinely funny—like laugh-out-loud, maybe-even-peed-myself-a-little funny. The kind of humor that sneaks up on you and then hits perfectly. I found myself laughing uncontrollably and smiling like an idiot more than once.
What really stood out was how immersive the story felt. The writing pulls you straight in, to the point where it feels like you’re right there in the middle of it all, experiencing every awkward moment, witty comeback, and unexpected turn firsthand. The characters feel real, relatable, and so well-written that you almost forget you’re reading a book.
Lighthearted, clever, and incredibly entertaining—this was one of those reads that reminds you why reading is fun. If you want a book that will make you laugh hard and escape completely, Not for Headlines absolutely delivers. 📖✨
This book had me hooked from the dedication. Yes, that early. Grace, our down-to-earth waitress heroine, and Logan, the swoony rockstar with layers, deliver a celebrity romcom that’s equal parts heart and heat. The age gap adds delicious tension, but it’s the emotional depth that truly shines. Every feeling felt earned, every moment relatable.
Cherise, Grace’s best friend, deserves her own spotlight. She’s hilarious, fiercely loyal, and her sass had me grinning throughout the book. Honestly, she’s one of the best parts of the story.
So well written, so emotionally resonant! This is easily one of my favorite reads of the year. Huge thanks to Armani Noel for the chance to read an advanced copy. I’ll be recommending this one to everyone who loves their romance with wit, warmth, and a touch of rockstar sparkle
Listen - if I could give more stars for a this book, I would. This book made me laugh so hard I literally cried. That alone is worthy of more than six stars. But then, when you add the rest of the story? *Delighted sigh* It has all the feels.
It's a quick read, it has spice, and it's told from a dual perspective. The MFC is relatable and loveable. You will root for her more than her own BFF in the story. The MMC is older, so there's an age gap. But it's not unrealistic or problematic. It's adorable! I swear I smiled all the way through this book. It's the perfect feel-good romance. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!
My favorite line from the whole book… “it sounds like grief and grit. Like someone who has been through hell, but still dares to glow in the dark.” That quote explains this book so well in my opinion. I can not recommend this book enough. I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to read it in the time I needed to and boy was I wrong. Sucked me in from the first page and definitely can’t wait to read her others. Had me on the edge of my seat, willing myself to read it faster so I could find out what happened next.
Such a fun read! It had me laughing out loud and wishing I could be best friends with the main character. I was hooked from the beginning. It was an easy read and I couldn’t put it down once I started.
What an adorable book!!!!! POOR Grace went through the ringer over Logan! I laughed so hard I cried.....I also shed some emotional tears. This book is the perfect rom-com! I highly recommend this book and enjoyed the laughs!!!
This book had me shaking with laughter and the writing immersed me in the feels of these characters! Grace and Logan will take your hearts! Rockstar, age gap romance!!! I haven’t had more fun reading a book in a long time! It was a quick read and it was well put together!! More stars if I could!!!
