For Diary McMillian, junior year at Alniqa University was supposed to be a fresh start. One without distractions, drama, or mistakes she can’t take back. But the second she steps back on campus, she comes face-to-face with the one person she’s been Ace St. James.
Her twin brother’s best friend. Her biggest regret. The reason she needed a semester off in the first place.
Ace is everything she despises; cocky, reckless, and the campus heartthrob. But no matter how much she wants to hate him, their connection is undeniable. Heated glances turn into tension-filled run-ins, and the more they push each other away, the closer they seem to get.
But Diary has a secret. One that could change everything.
And when homecoming weekend arrives, so does the truth.
Growing up in 90’s Brooklyn, NY, Treasure Malian’s passion for writing began at a young age. Inspired by her environment, she was able to capture the beauty and pain of growing up in that era, through her lens. A passion that while initially was only a spark, ignited into a full-blown flame after her tenure at Lincoln University and St. Francis College, where she studied undergrad, with the intent on becoming a lawyer.
The inability to escape the gnawing desire to write led her to write and publish her first #1 Bestselling Series “Power Trip” Over twenty novels later, Treasure is still capturing the experiences and emotions that come with the complexities of black love in her stories. Now equipped with a master’s degree, she continues to pursue elevation in her career and beyond.
To her, writing serves a greater purpose than just being a career or outlet for creativity, instead it enables her to make a meaningful impact and create an unforgettable bond with her readers.
From Homecoming to Forever: Diary & Ace is messy, magnetic, and the kind of campus love story that keeps you glued to the page. Their chemistry is undeniable, tense, heated, and full of that “we shouldn’t, but we will anyway” energy.
Treasure Malian weaves a story that’s equal parts sweet, emotional, and tense, especially with the secret Diary’s been hiding, the kind that could change everything between them. When homecoming weekend hits and the truth finally comes out, it’s explosive in all the best ways.
It’s a short, drama-filled, and emotional read that perfectly captures that feeling of falling for the one person you know you shouldn’t.
Secret baby is one of my favorite tropes, so I was excited going in. This one didn’t fully land for me though. Ace was way too calm about the secret for my liking. No smoke, no real reaction, just… okay. I get that they’re young, so maybe that explains the bounce back, but I needed more emotion there.
The reveal scene was definitely the highlight, especially Deuce’s reaction. That part made me smile. Overall, it was an okay read. Nothing bad, nothing that stuck with me long after.
From Homecoming to Forever: Diary & Ace was a quick listen but whew… the way it BLEW UP had me pausing while cooking dinner. Diary tried so hard to come back to campus with a clean slate but running into Ace her twin brother’s best friend and the reason she took a semester off set everything RIGHT back on fire.
The tension between them was so heavy. The chemistry/banter was still there. But that secret Diary was carrying was really playing on her mental. She was STRESSED!
Homecoming weekend was the biggest OPP! When the grandparents showed up on campus with little Kaoir, it was so innocent and yet it changed everything. I’m still sitting here wondering how long Diary planned on keeping her daughter a secret, especially knowing Ace was the father. I can respect fear, I can respect being young and overwhelmed but I can’t say I’m Team Diary on this one. She robbed Ace of eight months with his baby girl.
Still, the story captured young love evolving into something deeper, heavier and real. A fast, dramatic novella that definitely delivered.

Disappointed‼️Ugh 😣, “From Homecoming To Forever: Diary & Ace: A Novella” (2.75 ⭐️’s) was a disturbing attempt to justify Diary’s immaturity, jealousy & displayed anger to vilify Ace because she wanted to control the groceries, baker, ingredients & eat the 🤬cake (the irony, she accused Ace almost verbatim). Sorry, but the end doesn’t justify her means‼️That man (& his family), missed eight months of his daughter’s development😡‼️The unmitigated audacity for Diary to perpetrate as a victim 🥴🙄, when she’s “a liar, is a liar, will always be a liar until she confront the entire true & apologized for the irreparable harm & damage and pays restitution 🤷🏾♀️‼️However, the precious time wasted & lost can’t be redeemed 🤦🏾♀️. This book wasn’t the cleaver HEA literary entertaining impact the Author T. Malian intended ‼️
Diary has been missing in action on campus. She is the twin sister of AU football star Deuce McMillian, previously her sorority chapter president, and overall it girl until she randomly disappeared from campus.
Ace is AU track royal and the new big Olympic hopeful. Deuce is Ace’s best friend and Diary’s arch enemy. He’s the campus hot commodity and frat boy royalty. Once Diary returns back to school, Ace made it his mission to figure out what caused her absence.
While Diary is happy to be back on campus, she’s living a double life that no one has a clue about except her brother. Homecoming threatens to reveal the very thing she wants no one to find out.
I love me a secret baby and love a brothers best friend even more but baby—-I had some issues with story. Diary knows she was wrong as hell to leave Ace out of the loop when it came to his baby. It just didn’t make much sense for Ben keeping baby Kaira away. Because he has a roster? Because he didn’t express his feeling the way you want him too? It just comes off as a controlling and selfish reason to keep a man from his kid. Just hit and Cold for nothing when he tries to communicate or even talk to you about his feelings. And for the family to be so close—-he didn’t know about the baby? Dairy wasn’t held accountable enough for the shit she pulled. Ion like that
Diary upset me lol. Idk if I agreed with her keeping it close to her or not. Sometimes it’s better to lay it all out b/c once you tell one lie you have to tell another and another and the damage becomes so much worst. However, I empathized with both Diary & Ace but I am more team Ace lol
This book had a few tropes in it that I really enjoy! I love seeing the character development in the FMC and seeing how her family rallied around her. It's always important to have people in your circle who will support you even if they don't understand the decisions that you made initially. I can't wait to read the other books that are in this series!
This was my favorite book in the collection so far. It was a bit more urban which made it more entertaining. The storyline was messy. I was so annoyed with Diary for keeping the truth from Ace. When it all came to light, I was glad. It made for more drama, but also a very sweet ending. This was a fun read.
Pretending to hate one another laid the foundation for a hot and cold relationship between Ace and Diary. Then they finally decided to take a chance. Hiding their relationship cause a whole new set of circumstances. Their story was evenly woven to say what was in the dark will come to light. The author definitely kept it entertaining.
Another hit on her hands! This story was so real, so cute, and did exactly what I needed. This story had me nervous, cheesing, and laughing. I love a MMC that don’t play about his girl!!! 10/10
This was the cutest story about love in college, getting pregnant and hiding it, returning to that love of your life who doesn't know he's a father until it all hits the fan, then it all turns out great !!! Loved it, especially the pictures!!!
This was so cute!!! I’m glad he got Kami together because it’s never that serious, or something for her to worry about. Definitely wouldn’t mind more from this crew.
This was a nice sweet story. Young love. Secret baby. I'm happy that everything worked out for them in the end. I loved how supportive Diarys parents were.
Too short. I don’t typically read books under 300 pages and now I know why. Their story just felt rushed and incomplete, especially by the end. Writing also was okay….
