I loved this book. The characters are great. Jenna is s strong personality and Abram loves it. These two share an experience but only one knows who the other is. And the chemistry is electric. I loved the ending.

I felt like too much was skimmed over. (The blurb that made me get the book wasn’t even in the book - go figure) I don’t like the time jumps and we didn’t even get to see Jenna and Abram fall in love. They didn’t connect emotionally at all. I also really don’t like books with sex clubs or the men that use them regularly sry. Also the surprise pregnancy 🤢 Idk I love a boss/assistant romance and I love mafia romance but this did not hit.

Clearly, I’m the outlier here. With a 4.4+ average rating, my lonely little 1-star looks like it got lost on the way to a different book.

I wanted this to work for me—truly! But alas, this story is a hot mess. From the pacing to the character work to the world-building (or lack thereof), nothing felt fully developed or remotely well planned.

Feeling a little scorched earth, so this review is going to be brutally honest.

The most interesting selling point—the big hook—was the whole “accidentally slept with the boss but only one of us knows” setup. Sounds fun, right? Want to know how long that lasted?
One day. Literally. Not even a full day of awkward, angsty reunion.
Then bam, “lol we totally hooked up, right?” No buildup, no tension, nothing to anchor a plot to. It evaporated faster than my hopes for this book.

And then we get to the pacing/believability fiasco. This man is supposedly mid-40s but has the bedroom stamina of a young buck. No refractory period, no fatigue, no sense of anatomical reality. The chapter that broke my spirit was the one where they go at it three times in a few hours and she racks up six-plus big O’s. Girl, good for you, but also… why are we still here? Plot? What plot? I’m pretty sure at least three chapters were dedicated to those same few hours of nothing but sex. And the worst part? Each round was basically a copy-paste of the last, just with new décor.

Then came the nail in the coffin: the wild, random surprise pregnancy. Delivered with such cringe that I, a person with shelves literally tagged #breeding, felt secondhand embarrassment. I know ball. This is not ball. This is… whatever is happening when someone is forcing a storyline to exist long after it should’ve been put down for a nap.

And don’t even get me started on the Bratva structure. It felt like the author watched a single grainy mafia documentary at 2 a.m., took three notes, misplaced two of them, and then said, “Yes. I understand Russian organized crime now.” From the way it was written, the entire Bratva appears to consist of him and his brothers-in-law, and he basically gaslights the FMC into believing he’s powerful.

I had more issues than just these three, but you get the picture. Yes, I know I’m in the minority, but I genuinely cannot understand giving this book more than 2 stars max. I would not recommend it.

Not for me… and probably not for you either.

Going with the Flow When Love Takes Over -
Abram had been lusting after his assistant ever since she started working for him, but he never did anything about it, but everything thing changed when he met Jenna in a mask at his exclusive club and decided to satiate his desires. Jenna’s decision to have a night of unbridled pleasures was truly epic, but she felt an inexplicable connection with the stranger and made her anxious.

Although Abram tried his best to return to the profession relationship between himself and Jenna when they were back in the office, he just couldn’t keep his hands off her, which led to them engaging in an ongoing dalliance. The time Abram and Jenna spent inside and outside the office allowed their attraction for each other, but neither one of them had voiced their feelings to the other.

Unfortunately, Abram’s role as a pakhan meant he was always dealing with dangerous situations, but he never expected Jenna would be kidnapped the night he was about to confess his feeling to her. Jenna had planned to tell Abram about her life changing news on their dinner date, but disaster struck before she could tell him. Abram knew he couldn’t live without Jenna, so he did everything possible to ensure he got her back safely and dealt with the threat to their lives permanently.

Luckily, Jenna was able to tell Abram about her news before she passed out and she was happy to witness his happiness when she woke up later in the hospital. Even though Abram continued to be a pakhan, he ensured Jenna would continue to be safe, so they could have a happy future together.

This was a truly intriguing Bratva romance story with a twist that I never expected, as it didn’t follow the usual family tradition. The story drew me in and had me glued to the pages for the entire day, as it took me on a reading adventure filled with plenty of drama, action and steam moments. If you are looking for your next exhilarating romance story where you will find yourself unable to take a break once you start, then look no further than this book.

Omg! Omg! Omg! I can’t. I just can’t. This book killed me! I’m dying. Send help! Seriously! I didn’t think I could love KC Crowne anymore than I already did.

Masked Seduction is a dirty version of the old boss and secretary cliche, only hotter and with Bratva ties. So hot and so dangerous. Hugs touch her and die vibes, huge possessive I can’t have her internal battles, huge spicy time scenes that steal the breath out of your lungs. Ugh. I’m wrecked but in the best possible way.

Abram is the Pukhan of the Vasiliev Bratva, ruthless, cunning, charming and off the charts hot! He gets what he wants, when he wants it but he refuses to cross the line with his assistant and become that guy. But he just can’t bring himself to stop craving her. He knows one night will never be enough.

Jenna is his off limits assistant with a sassy mouth and curves for days. She thinks her boss is hot but she refuses to be the cliched secretary who sleeps with her boss. As hot as he is she will just have to find pleasure somewhere else with someone else. Even if it’s his face she pictures when she closes her eyes.

When she walks into his den of sin , The 13th Floor club, she has not idea that she was going to be his with no take backs. Abram knew her even with her mask on, he memorized the curvy body and red curls. And he claimed her before she could figure out it was her boss sending her into another world.

This was a crazy train of a ride. I love a good mafia romance and this checked all my boxes, big time! It was dark and broody, sweet and passionate, there was torture and kidnapping, murder and salvation.

If you’ve never read anything by KC before hold on to your hat cuz this this author knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat!.

I’ll finish a KCC book and think, “..nothing will top this one”, because it was just that good. Then I’ll start another Silver Fox book in the series and dang if it’s just as good if not better! There were a few disappointments. For instance, I loved the mystery in this book, especially the secret Jenna carried, not knowing who her masked lover was. But I just wish the author would’ve stretched the mystery out a little more and let it ride instead of giving everything away so quickly. Right when it got good the author killed it. Why? And we’re told about Jenna meeting Abrams family…when did this happen?!? And Abram’s concern about keeping Jenna a secret from his #1 nemesis, Nico Agosti was odd. Did he forget he already told his Ex-wife about Jenna and of his interest in her? The same Ex-Wife who is involved with the very same enemy, Nico Agosti? The longer this story went on, the softer Bratva Pakhan Abram Vasiliev became. Despite all these inconsistencies (as well as Abram’s twin nieces’ names changing), I was still addicted. It held just enough drama, suspense and steam. It carried all the usual troubling mafia issues like the challenge and danger of falling in love; afraid to pursue a relationship for fear of putting a target on the back of your love interest as well as possibly weakening your Pakhan status . The usual song and dance. The steam got repetitious and sometimes skip worthy, but the characters carry it over the finish line.

Loved it. Jenna is a young woman hired to be personal asst to a brat a pakhan. He drives her crazy with his exacting standards. One night her friend convinces her to go to a sex club where she has sex with a masked stranger who seems familiar. She sons realizes it was her boss who actually knew it was her at the club and has been attracted to her from the start. They start seeing each other both realizing they have crazy hit chemistry and feelings developing. But the brat a world comes to close and Jenna ends up in danger with a secret. Can abram rescue the woman he realizes now he lives? Will Jenna tell her secret?
Can they come together in a world of violence and danger?
Abram is a fabulous character hard tough and dangerous when needed but able and willing to embrace these new feelings he’s never had before, protective, sensitive, supportive and so loving to Jenna esp making her feel beautiful. Nice to read a book where an alpha male can still embrace other aspects of his personality while still being all male. Jenna is strong feisty, determined, solid and doesn’t back down. She’s had to be tough growing up yet is unaware of how her beauty commands a room. Great world building and rich details.

Masked Seduction is a spicy age gap romance that finds it’s MFC Jenna Ridley trying very hard not to quit on her tyrant billionaire boss Abram Vasiliev, Bratva Kingpin.
Does it help that she is attracted to the older hottie? No…no it doesn’t.
After a particularly bad day in the office her bestie talks her into visiting an exclusive club to let off some steam, and there she unknowingly has a tryst with her destiny.
MMC Abram owns a lot of property in Vegas and club The 13th Floor is just one.
Even though she is masked he recognizes Jenna his assistant who he has craved from day one, never letting on and trying not to cross that line, but tonight with anonymity all bets are off.
Another great contemporary romance from author KC Crowne with wicked good writing, well drawn characters and a story that scorches the sheets with hot passion, volatile emotion, intrigue, danger, family dynamics, and mafia power plays that made it a hard to put down read as events begin to play out to this reader’s immense enjoyment.

Abram is a great guy.
Abram Vasilier is the head of the Vasilier Bratva in Las Vegas, and he has the best personal assistant in Jenna Ridley. She’s sassy, efficient, smart, beautiful, and built to make him drool. The line, however, crosses when Jenna and her BFF, Claire, go out to the exclusive Club 13th Floor for drinks and dancing. Masks required. Abram spots a real beauty and is shocked when he realizes it’s Jenna…and the seduction begins. Their connection is electrifying, and Abram knows he wants more. It takes Jenna a while to be sure Abram is her sexy lover from the club, but when she confronts him, they are all over each other. Abrams is such a sexy, caring man, and he and Jenna get really serious fast. Jenna finds out she’s pregnant, but before the words come out, she gets bodily dragged into a mob war. Nico Agosti has attacked Abram and kidnapped Jenna. Nico doesn’t know the way of the old crime families, and his actions have ensured his death. Lots of mystery and action in this story. Abram has a super wonderful family, and they all wrap Jenna in their love. I loved this story, and I will re-read it in the future. Great happy ending. Linda

Abram has a new assistant, Jenna, and is very attracted to her. He doesn't want to cross the line with their professional relationship. When she comes to the club he is in the process of buying, he doesn't want her to talk to anyone. He feels like he can no longer hide the attraction he feels for her. Because they are wearing masks, she doesn't know who he is. She leaves the club before he has a chance to find her.

Abram tries to go back to their professional relationship at work but he can't stop himself from acting on his desires again. She is on board with this as she is beginning to have feelings for him.

Abram is the head of his family and is always in danger. He vows to protect Jenna against his enemies. When danger does come he realizes how much he has come to care for Jenna.

I loved the characters in this story. Abram and Jenna were wonderful together. Their story is full of intrigue and suspense as well as the perfect amount of drama. Highly recommended.

This was such a fun and intense read! Masked Seduction delivers everything I love about a dark, forbidden boss romance with a delicious Bratva twist.

I had such a great time reading this. It’s steamy, fast-paced, and full of chemistry that practically sizzles off the page. Abram is the perfect mix of ruthless and protective, while Jenna is strong, witty, and refuses to be intimidated. The mix of danger, passion, and emotional vulnerability made it impossible to stop reading.

If you like mafia romance with strong heroines, possessive alpha males, and a little chaos sprinkled in, Masked Seduction is a wild ride you’ll definitely enjoy.

When life gives you lemons …

Jenna starts to work as Abram Vasiliev’s PA; he is the Bratva King of Las Vegas and there is instant attraction on both sides, but Abram hides his behind being super demanding of his PA.
This, however, changes completely when both meet at a club called ‘13th floor’ which Abram intends to buy … and they spend the night together.
However, there is trouble in Bratva land … cause Nico Agosti, the Don’s son intends to take over his father’s realm (who is terminally ill) and some more, so a war is started between the Italians and the Russians and Jenna finds herself in the middle of it.
Nico abducts Jenna from a high-end restaurant as leverage to force Abram to give up his kingdom … but boy, you’d better not mess with a girl who grew up in the foster system and an angry Russian Bratva king!
But read for yourselves, it’s worth your time and money!

I enjoyed this twisted love story . The main characters are seriously quirky and jaded. Jenna was hired to be Sergio assistant. They are both attracted to each other but they don’t admit it. They both meet each other at a masked sex club scene that Sergio is going to buy. She went with her best friend to let loose for the night. She gets more than she bargained for. She meets a mysterious man who turns her world upside. This quickly becomes a reality check for both of them. It also becomes a twisted love story mafia style. I enjoyed the banter between them and the sexual tension was off the charts. All the characters were well written and believable. The author did a great job with the twists and turns in the storyline as well.

Okay, I need to say upfront, that I don't enjoy age gap trope. I've tried reading different books with the said trope and I really had to work hard on putting the fact that the MMC was old enough to be the FMC's father. But after read this one, I found a key that may help me enjoy age-gaps a bit more. For me, the secret lies in the feisty-ness of the FMC. And in this book the FMC was someone that held her own day in and day out and really needed a break from her reality and be truly taken. I can't remember what the age gap in the book is, but because she was someone I could see holding her own and not some damsel in distress, I enjoyed the age difference. Someone younger wouldn't have been able to give Jenna what she needed. Obviously, the spice was top shelf and overall, it's a great read.

Jenna and Abram gave me all the feels and emotions that I love from a dark romance but with the added fun of Bratva. I love the tranformation of Abram yet he remained true to who he was, he just made room for something new. And Jenna is strong, though that strength was hidden at first, only peeking through with snarky comments or words spoken under her breath. The story was fun, and moved along at a perfect pace. The spice? Need I remind you it's KC Crowne we are talking about! The bedroom (or office) heat burned up the pages! If you're looking for a spicy Bratva romance with action and an HEA look no further!.

Really love the cliche between boss and secretary with the added spiciness of the mafia boss trope.

The relationship development was quick but really well done and their chemistry was there from the beginning. Our FMC is not a pushover and I love that. The MMC knows what he wants and knows how he should treat her as well as what she deserves.

We have our angsty situations that just make the spicy scenes that more delicious as well as (a favorite of mine) the surprise pregnancy trope (that isn’t that surprising but we love when it comes out).

Overall, a great entertaining book with great characters and great spice.

This book is about the leader of the Las Vegas Bratva and his curvy assistant who also happens to be his obsession. When Jenna and her best friend decide to check out this club she finds herself attracted to this dark and handsome masked man. But unbeknownst to her, it is her dark and brooding boss but he realized who she is despite her mask.
When she starts to connect his features to her masked man she finally asks if he knew. And he admits he did. But things are not smooth for them when the son of another Don comes after his territory and Jenna gets caught in the middle.
Great characters and a storyline that is easy to follow.

Masked Seduction was so good, it deserved the 5 stars.

Loved the storyline and a heroine who didn’t take anything off anybody including her boss. A woman who truly knew her worth, efficient and on top of her job. Even when Abram ex wife tried to body shame her Jenna didn’t let her see that what she said affected her. Abram love at first sight but felt he shouldn’t cross that line with Jenna. A night at the sex club changed all of that. Even when she was threatened, Abram protective and possessive side stood out. Beautiful love story and I enjoyed from the first chapter to the last. I recommend reading this book if you like a strong, independent heroine and a mafia possessive lover.

I couldn't put this book down wanting to read just one more chapter to find out what would happen next and before I know it, it's 3:00 am. Then, I couldn't go to sleep even though I forced myself to put it down because I just kept wondering what would happen next. This Bratva tale is one of the best I've read. Abram is gruff in the beginning and that's hiding his attraction for her. Jenna is attracted to her jerkhole boss and can hardly stand it. This sounds like the typical formula but it comes across as fresh and new. The pace is fast and heat level is high. Loved it!

Jenna is Abram new assistant, and she is trying to show him that she won't crack under the pressure he puts on her. Even though she would like to call him a few things, but she needs the job. Her friend gets her to go to a club he is in the processing of buying. People are wearing mask, and she is hoping to have a good night. This is where Abram crossing the line and acts on his feelings for Jenna when he spots her in the crowd. Jenna didn't know the amazing night she had was actually with her boss. Then there is more the Abram all together being hot Bratva boss as well. So much happens in this book I didn't want it to end.

Wow!

First time reading a book by this author- absolutely incredible. This book grabs your attention from the start and consumes you until the end.

Jenna a strong, & feminine woman didn’t spend a lot of time agonizing over her romantic involvement with her boss. Smart and sassy, she kept me laughing.

Abram, dark, possessive and owns half of Vegas, yum. A sexy man with humor and protects what’s his, major turn on.

A wonderful read that is engaging from start to finish- I get frustrated with wishy/washy characters that take forever to get to the good stuff.

I probably would have gotten through this faster if my daily schedule hadn't been so busy. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the story was written. The story is very predictable but I appreciated how it was written. The only reason I took away a star was because of the surprise pregnancy. Ugh. Save it for the epilogue. Right at that point, followed by the kidnapping is where I started losing focus. It started coming off as 50 Shades and every other "I'm pregnant/oh no, I'm kidnapped/please don't hurt my baby" storyline vibes.
Other than that, would I read it again? - probably not. It was okay as a one and done.

Loved it.
I was hooked from the minute they met at the sex club even though they wore masks Abram knew instantly that it was Jenna but although something about him seemed familiar she wasn't sure.
We get to see different sides to these two who are both strong characters he banishes the insecurities she gas about herself & she gets to see the softness that he only has for her.
There's steam, sweetness, sass, fun, ex-wife & danger before we see if there is a chance for them getting a happy ever.
Once you start reading this i guarantee you won't want to put it down.

it’s always the masquerades

I enjoyed our Bosses assistant trope because she is VERY competent. And it’s fun to see how she is able to juggle this workaholic/mafia boss and still have a life outside. Jokes on her because she runs into him out at the seggy club.

Their beginning was a whirlwind but the middle of the book and the secret, and it’s never the right time to tell him.

His caring and possessive nature he really is a brutal Bratva Don but they made him a teddy bear for family and kids and her.

The spice was whew nice. Active in the beginning of the book but the plot takes over mid way to the end. 4/5chilis.

This was a good quick read and I enjoyed this writing style.

I loved these characters, and I love that there was no third act break up. I also enjoyed that we have Jenna as an average/thick sized woman who struggles with her self image. This made her so much more relatable.

Abram was hot, the spice in this was on point. This was a fun and easy read. I can’t wait to dig into K.C.’s backlog some more!

This book is steaming hawt (fan me please!!). Here you have an alpha boss who knows what he wants and stays just on the side of propriety with his office admin even though you can cut that tension with a knife! And sh has no fear and calls him on it! Fast forward to a masked interlude where passions flare and one knows whom the other is even with said masks in play. And it get spicier from there on. This book will have you laughing, flipping pages quickly and going did she really just say that to her boss?!.

This is Abram and Jenna’s love story. She’s his new assistant. They coincide at a $ex club where anonymity is paramount, people wear masks and don’t share personal information. He’s also wearing a disguise. He recognizes her and has a passionate encounter. They both keep replaying it over the weekend. She doesn’t know if was him, but in the light of day finds similarities. Finally he confirms it was him, and so begins a situationship. An adventure begins with many complications only the mafia can manage. In the end there ate more twists and turns until they finally get their HEA.

Lust or love at first site Abram knows he's in trouble, his new assistant Jenna is on his mind instead of the business of Pakhan.
Unknown to him she's not immune to him as he thinks but that's never going to happen or will it.
These two thrown together in a kinky sex club, both masked but know exactly who they spent time with changes everything.
As per usual nothing stays perfect for long when someone wants to take the Pakhans place, foolish man.
A great story as usual as you would expect from this author.

These two and the 13th Floor. Very steamy and sexy. Loved Bratva Pakhan, Abram. My only beef is that for someone who is so family oriented, it sure took him a minute to finally propose! Loved strong and feisty Jenna. They were a great match. Claire was a great BFF and I would love to see her get her own story. Loved the whole Vasiliev clan. Of course, there was no escaping mafia drama with the Italians and Agosti wanna-be new Don, Nico. Enjoyed the story.
