One of the best parts of running a summit is discovering people doing exceptional work. Nina Spears ["The Baby Chick"] was a guest last year, and now she has a book that delivers her expert support at a much larger scale.
"Positive Pregnancy" is the most comprehensive, genuinely helpful book on pregnancy and postpartum I've come across. Nina blends expert guidance, research-backed information, actionable tasks, and real comfort in a way that's rare.
Nina cites her sources and includes the actual websites so you can verify everything yourself. In a world of AI-generated content and social media tips, that level of documented research is rare and invaluable.
One example that spoke to my love for early language development: At 31 weeks, babies already have all five senses functioning, including hearing and smell. Nina suggests reading a specific book or singing a song each night starting at that stage, because that repetition can help soothe your baby after birth. Language and learning begin in utero!
If you're pregnant, planning to be, or work with clients who are check out the book and share it forward.

As a mom of two and a postpartum professional, I genuinely wish I’d had this book during my pregnancies.
What I loved most was how practical it is. Every chapter is full of actionable advice, helpful checklists, and real guidance for the decisions parents actually have to make—not just what to expect, but how to navigate it all. It’s evidence-based without feeling clinical, and written in such a warm, conversational way that it feels like a trusted friend walking beside you.
I especially appreciated that the focus isn’t just on the baby. Nina gives so much attention to the mother’s mental health and wellbeing, while also including partners throughout the journey. Even with my own experience, I still learned new things and found myself nodding along, smiling, and remembering what it felt like to be pregnant.
Reading it week by week would make pregnancy feel exciting instead of overwhelming. By the end, I was surprisingly emotional. I will be recommending it to everyone - thank you for this gift Nina!
This is a wonderful and comprehensive pregnancy book! I honestly wish I had this resource when I was pregnant with my first child several years ago. Nina Spears goes into so much detail about what you will be expecting during pregnancy, what goes on with your body, and even has sections for your partner to feel involved! Recipe links, checklists for the hospital, recommendations for baby registries - this book has it all! There is so much knowledge, without feeling overwhelming, for new moms in this incredible book. 10/10!!!
This is book has been incredible so far. As someone who has suffered multiple losses, the affirmations are something that really helps me mentally. I also love how this book provides in depth baby info, but most importantly provides mom with resources, tips, tricks and recommendations to make sure she is feeling her best mentally and physically during pregnancy. This book is amazing and I will be recommending this to any and all of my pregnant friends!
I've only read through about 30%, but so far everything feels very accurate to the experience and things that I would have wanted to know the first or even second time I went through pregnancy! Even having had four babies, I still found lots of useful information in the first third and I'm excited to finish!
Amazing book!! Finally found a book that reassures you and builds your confidence during your pregnancy. Nina reminds you to embrace the journey of growing your baby and gives you grace in all that feelings that come with it. Can’t recommend it enough!
