My fist MM book and my first book of 2026 and OMG! This was AMAZING!
I have never read MM romance and I devoured this story!

This book was my first MM romance.
M.L. Burns does a fantastic job of creating a narrative that makes you fall for her characters so easily, their pasts are traumatic and real! Their lives are hard and believable! Their futures are complex and the happiness that we all look for!
Between Keoni and Ayden their lives have been tough, not just because they are "different" to people who aren't like them or don't understand them but, because they have secrets they can't or won't tell anyone about. Their relationship is something so many couples aspire to have though and it's the kind of love we all wish we could find!
This kind of relationship isn't something I would normally pick up to read, however I absolutely devoured this story and can't wait to read more from the Neighbours of Sapphire Valley series!
I have read and reread M.L.'s entire catalog and loved every minute of it! She is the first author I mention when talking about books I've loved. She is also an author I will recommend every time someone says they are looking for anything in her wheelhouse. I honestly believe M.L Burns could write literally anything and it would be amazing!
(I'd love to see her write something about mermaids and "flaps", 😂😂 IYKYK...something in the romcom style! I think she would knock it out of the water!)
In all seriousness though I will read anything she writes and know I'll enjoy it, so I look forward to whatever comes next with bated breath and anticipation! 💛💛
