So this was pretty good but I wish it had been split up tbh. it felt REALLY long and after a while I was slogging through it. The premise is interesting, a human raised by wolves and bullied her whole life is saved by a rival alpha from an infamous pack - but some things fell a bit flat for me.

- I really liked the leads and wanted to see more banter and romance from them. it feels like they were at odds and then boom, we're mates in love.

- Bryn kind of annoyed me tbh. like she's been abused her whole life and her mom who's supposed to be awesome doesn't seem to notice that everyone wants to kill her? then when she finally gets rescued from an attempted rape her first reaction is to fight her rescuer, alpha night, tooth and nail.... to go back and say bye to her mom? ..... the very mom she was planning on leaving in the middle of the party anyway without saying goodbye? what? her whole "feisty" persona ended up annoying me and I just wanted her to stop and think for like 2 seconds!! It felt like she went from doormat to special Mary Sue angel fighter in no time flat.

- night was a great lead and loved his strong and sarcastic noble vibe and how everyone in his pack is taken care of. I wish we had seen a bit more romance from them tho. it felt like there were fighting and bantering then sex and they're mates.... and then she gets kidnapped? ugh

- I really wish tavi and Brynn shifted to escape their bonds and saved themselves. the whole "waiting days for rescue" thing seemed silly to me. like bro, she's your MATE, get it together and get her and your sister?

- Troy fell a bit flat to me as a villain tbh. he starts off ok and believable but breaks down into this kind of silly, out of control weirdo? like I didn't get why he put so much energy into his "revenge" since he didn't even want her anyway. I guess it's a "I want to punish you for existing" thing but I just didn't get that feeling of urgency or fear for his actions. Like night could have gone in and taken him out ASAP and saved all the middle parts of the book IMO.

- the whole "brand new wolf takes down an experienced alpha that her own alpha couldn't handle" thing made me roll my eyes. I saw it coming since there were a lot of references to sexism and misogyny throughout the book, but it just seemed dumb to me that an alpha no one could take down and even weakened night was an amazing fighter, could be taken out by a human that's shifted like twice??

- some parts needed to be trimmed down IMO. a lot of the second half of the book is slow and repetitive and I found myself getting bored.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A 5-star, 1500-page obsession!

If you love werewolf romance the way I love werewolf romance… buckle up. Because Claimed by the Rival Alpha is easily one of my favorite reads of the year—maybe even ever. The love story of Bryn and Night hit every emotional nerve in the best possible way.

This series is technically three books in one massive, 1500-page ride, but never once does it slow down. Every chapter pulls you deeper, every scene sharpens the tension, and every page keeps you absolutely feral for more.

Bryn — the abandoned human girl who became a legend

Left as an infant in the middle of the forest, Bryn’s entire existence begins in mystery. Saved and raised by a lone she-wolf, she grows up in a wild pack where she’s treated like an outsider—bullied, ridiculed, and pushed to the bottom of the hierarchy simply for being human.

She keeps her head down, working in the kitchens and gardens, trying to stay unseen… until the new alpha decides to make her his “pet.”
And that’s the moment everything changes.

Night — the rogue alpha with a destiny he can’t outrun

Night left his birth pack long ago, searching for peace, purpose, and a sanctuary for all rogue wolves. But when news reaches him that his father has fallen, he returns home to take back what’s rightfully his—and to save every wolf depending on him.

But instead of finding only betrayal and war, he finds her.
A human girl locked in his brother’s room.
Terrified, stubborn, breathtaking.

In one heartbeat, his purpose shifts. He’s no longer just reclaiming a throne…
He’s rescuing the woman who will change everything.

A slow-burn bond, an explosive destiny

What makes this story so addictive is that Bryn wants nothing to do with Night at first. She doesn’t trust him, doesn’t believe him, and definitely doesn’t see herself as someone worth fighting for.

But Night?
He sees her worth from the moment he meets her—and he will burn the world to keep her safe.

Their connection is electric, emotional, and so beautifully paced. Watching Bryn discover her strength and Night discover his heart made this series feel like an epic journey rather than just a romance.

Final Thoughts

If you want a werewolf series with:
🐺 A protective, brooding alpha
🔥 Slow burn tension that erupts
💔 A heroine who grows into her power
🌙 Pack wars, secrets, destiny, and found family
💜 A love story that claws its way under your skin

Then Claimed by the Rival Alpha will absolutely own you.
I couldn’t stop reading—and honestly? I didn’t want to.

An unforgettable, wild, deeply emotional ride. I’m obsessed.

THIS WAS CRAZY ASS LONG, IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN SPILT INTO A TRILOGY.
The first half of the story intrigued me because I'm a romance first, and plot second kinda girl. The book's split into 4 sections.

1st Half - focuses on the MCs relationship, the pack rivalry, characters' introduction and all the minor details.

2nd Half - focuses on politics, revenge and the rest of the plot, while romance plays second fiddle.

NIGHT and BYRN were too cute together!!! Wholesome couple I liked how they worked as a couple to solve the Pack's issues - a united front, even if they do have their differences in culture, opinion and their talents. TAVI and DOM, their betas were great too.

My ONLY complain is how Byrn fell in love with Night. Pacing was a little off, and it's also abrupt. Lusty hormones, much? Maybe.

BYRN and NIGHT were complex characters with a solid background that will reel you in. Their interactions with side characters were warm and emotionally charged. Byrn's the human outcast who was adopted by a shifter and was bullied by pack members, whereas Night's an Alpha who fought and assumed responsibility for his pack at a young age. Their common enemy? Byrn's Alpha and his Son, TROY.

I wish the author had allowed more time for Night and Byrn to naturally fall in love despite the rough beginning. Classic asshole syndrome and suddenly she's in (lust) love? It wassss hard to buy into. We do know Night's not a bad guy from how protectiveand responsible he is of pack and loved ones, he never got to show that softer side of himself to Byrn. Night only operated on these modes around her : JERK, JEALOUS and UNREASONABLE.

Wouldn't you get mixed signals if a person you're interested in did the same to you?

Luckily, it's a dual POV so we got inside Night's mind. I'll cut the guy some slack, alright? When the MCs got together, it was good from there with a decent amount of smut.

OVERALL not a bad story to binge on, if you're cool with 50% romance, 50% plot - a good balance. The characters are likeable too. Personally, I wanted it to be more emotionally charged and angsty in terms of the romance.

Two stars because I liked the characters

I have never read a book with so many contradictions. She said the Wargs were super poor and used hot springs to bathe but as soon as the female lead gets to the territory she's in a shower and bath. This happens multiple times throughout the book, but when people's names began to change because she didn't know her own characters, I knew I had to leave this. A character named Evan who backstabbed Night was called Eric at the end of the book. A doctor whose name was Dr. Damon Stan and was called doc or Damon started to get referred to as Stan. I could go back and find at least a few more discrepancies. And dont even get me started on the grammar. It was absolutely horrific. If someone did proofread this story they should be ashamed of themselves.

I love how the intimate pose on the book cover fits perfectly with this amazing story of two hearts finding one another. I am a fan of Lynsey Devin’s so I never pass up an opportunity to read any of her books. I really appreciated how the book presented several surprises; meaning things happened that I really didn’t expect. You won’t be disappointed with the intense chemistry between the main characters: Bryn and Night. I think what was different about this complete series compared to others was that more attention was given to the main characters rebuilding their pack’s communities with a wonderful HEA in the end.

be prepared to enjoy this book in large reading sessions. This is a complete book trilogy in one book, and you will want to read them all as the plot gets better and twisty as the book progresses. The story of Bryn is filled with lots of sadness, trauma, and a fighting spirit -she is a great FMC-. Her journey from being bullied by Troy, to being rescued by Night and then growing to learn to stand on her own is beautiful. The way Night sees her and claims her will have you swooning, and also preparing for the battle that this brings to the plot. The chemistry between them is so scorching that will want to keep reading to find them. A memorable long read!.

This book is a slow-burn paranormal romance packed with politics, tension, and complex dynamics within the shifter world. At times, it felt like the political aspects overshadowed the romance, and I occasionally lost track of the emotional connection between the main characters.

That said, the plot itself is very engaging, and the characters are well developed and consistent in their actions, which made them feel believable and grounded. While some parts felt a bit drawn out, it’s still a solid and enjoyable read, especially if you like stories with depth, world-building, and a slower romantic build-up.

I love anything from this author and really enjoy how her characters develop throughout the storyline but also the romance that is built in. The ups and downs that the FMC and MMC had in this made it hard to put the book down. But my heart broke for the way Bryn and Night both had to grow up but it made them the great leaders that they became by the end of the series. There was constant danger with enemy packs but also Troy but the who storyline was well done and ticked all the boxes with love, betrayal, suspense, danger, romance, friendship but also the wolf packs and their structure is always interesting to me.

In my opinion this is not what I would consider dark and I didn't worry about triggers but as always, please check yours.

All of the books bundled into this volume for the complete Night and Bryn story. Overall I liked and enjoyed the storyline and character development. I enjoyed Night and Bryn as individuals and as a fated mate couple.

Though at times I felt that it was too long, maybe didn't need so many parts to each book. I found it entertaining and emotional at times with a variety of story plot twists, not just the romance.

I am so very glad that this epic book was released with all 4 parts together as I dont think I would have been happy waiting for each section to be released separately . Intense doesnt begin to describe it I ended up reading till my eyes burned and the words blurred. Very strong emotions including great sorrow and great joy, Enough lighthearted moments to prevent it being tragic , romance even amidst war and heartbreak, Enough twists to be unpredictable and brilliant characters. Absolutely brilliant !!.

Couldn't get past the beginning

Started a little slow but interesting. Some things didn't quite make sense but when the girl is trying to run away and is caught and tied up and about to be forced and turned into a slave she is rescued but then she tries getting away from rescuer and gets mad at him, she is no longer timid but hitting and screaming at him for kidnapping her and insisting he take her back so when he refuses she just tries to go back on her own... ummm yeah couldn't get past that nonsense so completely farfetched and unbelievable this has to be AI surely no person would write this. I didn't make it to 100 pages no way could I read 1500 pages of this

What a good read. This to me was one of the most grounded PNR wolf pack stories. If these entities were real, I would believe this is how the magic of those being would behave. It was a decent storyline. I just like the “humanness” in the actions of the characters. Even with foreshadowing gifts for the MFC proper problem solving was required. I truly enjoyed it. And can we give snaps 🫰 for having the full series available on audible or to read. I hate getting into a good plot and waiting for the story to continue 🤦🏾‍♀️. Cheers.

Unique & enjoyable shifter stiry

really liked the way this story flowed. Good plot & mix of characters with flaws & others there to support. My only complaint...touch much sex between the 2 main characters. I NEVER thought I would say that. I like the spice in my stories. However, it just seemed like every time I turned around they were having sex. I feel like the books would not have been so unilong if some of that was cut out. I actually just scrolled thru them till I got back to the plot. Other than that critique I like that this was a unique shifter story.

It's reeeaaaallllly long. It was pretty good but the passage of time didn't always seem to line up. I think a couple hundred pages could have been cut to move things along a bit more quickly. There were also a lot of discrepancies around whether or not they could smell each other. It was weird to go from 'I can smell my mate running towards me through the forest ' to 'my mate startled me in the kitchen '

I am not sure why I kept going with this series to finish it as each book became more and more of a punish to read.
It was like teenagers playing at being adults. There were plot holes, inconsistencies in the magic system and world building. So many plot lines that some felt really rushed and other dragged on. I struggled with getting through this series, I guess I just wanted to see how it all ended but even then it was meh.

Four stars!!

I waited until the last book to write my review. I liked the idea of a human that is more with an alpha. Loved the way they were there for each other and their friends. However, there were some spots where it seemed to drag on. I would read another book by this author.

I did not realize that I had read these books before individually until I started reading this book. Because of this if you want to see the full review on each book, you will have to go to the individual books because I’m not going to put a review on the book here. I did listen to this book on Audible and it was narrated by AI. This was interesting because there were words that were mispronounced, but not very many, but it sounded almost like a human reading it.

night

I really liked this book and felt it was written well. I love how far Byrne evolved into a badas$ and how night never stops her from being the vadas$ she is. I think the end had a few rushed parts but overall it hit the pnr spot I was looking for
