Iyeon wanted a quiet life as an arborist—but hidden upstairs is a comatose killer who once tried to murder her. When he wakes with no memory, she panics… and lies: "I'm your wife." Can she survive the man who doesn’t remember her—or what he did?
Now here's the thing...after spending one volume in limbo heaven our author decides towards the middle of my delusional fantasies that she wants Chaewoo to remember who he is.
WHY?! WHY would you do that?! I physically faught the air at 2am one morning. I cried because I paid good money to live in LaLa land and this woman wanted to crush my spirit by allowing this man access to his memories but anyways it's done so well.
Basically Iyeon starts to accept her "new" husband and new life. Chaewoo takes on the role of aggressive husband. I'm sorry "protective" husband...for all the PG-13 girls in the back...IFYKYK. Everyone was getting along in the pool and then Mrs. Moomi had to throw a wrench into the plumbing. She allowed this man to REMEMBER. Now I was ok with it the first time because she gave us a loophole and I appreciate that...after hyperventilating and yelling and threatening to cancel my subscription to Manta several times, I appreciate that because I don't negotiate with terrorists who use simple threats like plot devices to get me going BUT the second time she did it I almost threw my iPad mini.
The second time made my skin crawl and it made me uncomfortable, it forced me to think...was this a good idea to lie to this man? It forces you to see the bigger picture and makes you think if she told the truth would the outcome been different or would she or him been disappointed.
That's what you call good writing. When Iyeon So is uncomfortable...I'm uncomfortable. When she is forced to question things about herself and the decisions she's made and is forced to stop running and face her consequences...I share that burden. I mean oh how the turns have table and the actions have showed up for the consequences. Yes I said what I said dear toxic reader. It hits the fan at the end...no tissue to wipe and no friendly fire, so you better duck.
Consequences on you, consequences on everybody...period.
