Wren Russo has always been an outsider. The only witch ever to be raised among the Order of the Mystic Realm, she has spent her life hunting demons alongside a family who doesn’t fully accept her. But nothing could prepare her for the ultimate betrayal of being handed over as part of a centuries-old pact to the most feared vampire family in the Malus Family.
Trapped in a gilded cage, Wren begins to unravel secrets buried for centuries about her own bloodline, the Order’s dark bargains, and the Malus family’s true intentions…especially Xavier Malus, the oldest and most powerful vampire in the Malus family. Xavier takes an unexpected interest in Wren, demanding she marry him in a political move to appease the Vampire Council. The more time she spends with him, the more she risks her hatred turning into passion. Will she see him as anything other than the monster he is?
Because in a game where bloodlines are currency and love can be the deadliest weakness of all, one wrong choice could mean the end—not just for Wren, but for everyone she’s ever sworn to protect.

Twisted was so intriguing. I think this is my first paranormal read from Emily Goodwin but she’s not a new author to me. She knows how to get the chemistry sizzling and in Twisted we are getting more than one guy to spike our interest. I don’t want to give too much away as I really enjoyed the mystery of this book.
Wren is a witch but her adopted family are demon hunters. She’s seen as the outsider and struggles to fit in. When a mysterious caller comes for something he believes is his, Wren is thrown into a new reality. She’s made to question everything she thought was true. Wren is given to the Malus mafia as a trade. It’s a deal that was set up too long ago and there’s nothing she can do about it.
Joining the Malus family has opened her eyes, not only to vampires but also the true situation of her adopted family. Can she fine a home to belong in?
The Malus family are really intriguing. They want to keep the bloodline going so they are made up of both vampires and humans. The intention is for Wren to help carry on the Malus line, but the head of the family shows an interest in her and he’s a vampire. I loved getting to know this family every member was interesting.
Wren wants to uncover her own truths and learn more about her witch craft. She has potential to be so much more and maybe the Malus family have the space for a witch in their hearts.
This was such a great read. I loved getting to know all the characters. This is the first book in the Malus Mafia series and I look forward to more. This book is more paranormal than a paranormal romance because the story is more focused on the mystery.
This is the first book in this series and I already want more!!! It does end in a cliffhanger though. There are a lot of my favorite tropes in it and while I’m not normally a paranormal romance type of person I always make an exception for her books!!!
Interesting idea. Love that she based one of the unlikeable characters on her ex and he’s mad about it😂
The writing wasn’t that great though. There was a lot of ‘telling instead of showing.’ The average three star rating comes from the not-so-great writing.
Also, witch ‘energy balls’ are kinda lame. She needed cooler powers.
Not a fan of mafia romance, but that’s my problem. I don’t think I like modern day romantasy. The main character is always referencing at least one of the following 1) Lululemon leggings 2) popular artists and their songs or 3) social media. Then the vampires, fae etc never know what they’re talking about🫠. Probably should just stop reading modern day romantasy, but I’m a sucker for a hot vampire. 😏

I love a paranormal romance/ dark romantasy! The plot was fun and quite thrilling, and I loved the characters! I love a 700 year old mafia vampire who gives major “my wife” and “touch her and die” vibes. And Wren was hilarious, I usually love dual pov otherwise I find stuff missing, but I really loved Wrens perspective she’s so funny and chaotic! When you’re a witch, being forced to marry into a mafia vampire family to have their babies and continue the bloodline probably ain’t on your to do list, although it starts as an enemies to lovers, Wren and Xavier’s connection develops into something beautiful, fiery and wonderfully passionate. The mysteries within the order and Wren trying to find out who she really is was a fun additional part, and the main plot was great too. However my problem was that a little after the latest point I started losing interest as the plot slowed down a little. Don’t get me wrong the characters did shine through those parts I just wish there was a little more excitement. However it does pick up again after, and it had a pretty killer ending and cliffhanger! I’m really excited for the next books release! I give this a 3.5/5
I couldn’t connect to the main character and didn’t love the overall story. I started this book because I saw something about how the author dedicated the book to an ex and it amused me— and for that reason alone the book has two stars instead of one.
What a fun introduction to this world and this author!
This was my first time reading Emily Goodwin. I caught onto the viral story about her dedication and thought, well this is definitely worth the purchase and read. I wasn't wrong at all.
Thoroughly entertaining, I was all in for the journey of Wren and Xavier as they both navigate this new road filled with their attraction yes, but also the realities that come when a Vampire and Witch join forces, when the rest of the world is against them.
Betrayals. Lies. Found family. Self discovery. And enough tension and chemistry to make blood sizzle...and sizzle it does.
I was captivated by the world of witches and hunters and demons and Vamps. I was hooked for the story of Wren and Xavier, and am all in for this series. I cannot wait for part 2 in December!
Thanks to Emily Goodwin for the chance at BETA reading and for the free ARC. All opinions are my own in the following ARC Review.
Genres: Paranormal Romance Tropes: Enemies to Lovers, Vampire/Witch, Age Gap, Forced Marriage, Forbidden Romance, Magic, Betrayal, Found Family MC: Wren (FMC), Xavier (MMC) Setting: US East Coast Triggers: orphan, kidnapping, outcast, bullying Epilogue: No, Cliffhanger
Synopsis: Wren, a badass demon hunter and witch, works with her adopted family for the Order of the Mystic Realm, until a shocking betrayal changes everything. When vampires arrive to claim a daughter promised through a centuries-old pact, Wren is handed over in her place. She soon learns her new fate: to bear heirs for one of the oldest and most powerful vampire families. Caught between the charming human descendant, Devon, and the notorious original vampire, Xavier, Wren’s presence as a witch puts a twist to their time-worn custom. Forced into a marriage with Xavier for political gain, she grapples with anger and loss, but gradually forges unexpected bonds within her new family. As feelings deepen with both men, buried secrets about her true origins come to light, revealing a devastating truth that shatters what she thought she knew. Unfortunately, when her old life collides violently with her new one, Wren must confront divided loyalties and the growing threat that could wreck her current reality.
Thoughts: Emily really hit it out of the park with this new series start. I thought this book was the perfect mash-up of Thorne Hill and Grim Gate, her other paranormal romance series. She seamlessly blended the forbidden vampire/witch romance from Thorne Hill with the Order lifestyle from Grim Gate, and sprinkled in the VC politics from both. I was hooked from the opening scene. I felt so many different emotions throughout the story, probably very similar to what Wren was experiencing. I found her to be such a strong, badass female character. She’s really been through the wringer, especially with the family betrayal; I was so mad on her behalf. And my heart absolutely broke for her during the graveyard scene. Xavier is certainly Mr. Mysterious, but I found myself loving him more and more right alongside Wren. He may be a morally gray character, but he has such a sweet, softer side that’s hard to ignore. I’m not sure if I consider this a true love triangle, but I hope this series will continue with just Xavier and Wren as the main couple. I thought they shared undeniable chemistry and an unspoken understanding they both recognized in each other. With regard to Devon, I know she found some of his softer qualities appealing, but felt they had more of a brother/sister or cousin-like relationship. They both grew up in messed up families, and can commiserate in their experiences. Also, I can see Wren and Xavier developing a deep and true love connection that no one else can touch, similar to Callie and Lucas from Thorne Hill. I have so many questions after finishing this book and can’t wait to dive into the rest of the series to see how everything unfolds. AND talk about a nail-biting ending! I’m counting down the days until Book 2.
This was honestly such an interesting read. A hunter/vampire mafia romance isn’t something I’ve come across before, and that alone made this feel fresh and intriguing right from the start. The first few chapters hooked me immediately — the pacing was quick, the tension was there, and I was fully invested in seeing where the story was headed.
The plot itself is definitely the standout. It felt original and different from a lot of paranormal romances I’ve read, and I really appreciated that it didn’t feel recycled. The world-building and the mix of danger, power, and forbidden dynamics kept me turning pages because I genuinely wanted to know what would happen next.
That said, there were a few things along the way that bugged me and pulled me out of the story at times. Some moments felt a little uneven, and there were spots where I wanted more development or smoother transitions. Nothing that completely ruined the experience, but enough that I noticed.
Overall, though, this was a decent, engaging story with a unique premise and a strong opening that made it easy to get into. If you’re looking for something different in the paranormal romance space — especially with darker elements and an unconventional pairing — this one is worth checking out.
If you are looking for a vampire, urban fantasy with enemies to lovers, centuries of an age gap lol, a lot of mystery and betray al then twisted is for you!!
This book was very fast paced with a lot of mystery in it! Wren the main character lives her life as a demon hunter. Adopted into her family, she feels like she doesn’t fully belong. And then one day she’s given to a supernatural vampire family as the collateral damage of her adopted family she makes new relationships, enemies, goes through a ton of betrayal and finds out the secrets that have been plaguing her all her life!
I loved the relationships she formed in her new situation. Especially with Mable! Friendships always hit hard for me in books! I love how Wren was a witch! Witches x vampires books are my favorite!!!
I loved how it went very fast and there weren’t any boring scenes!! I also loved the mystery and characters!! I hope we get to see more of the supernatural creatures like the werewolves in the next book!
Ahhhh ok this is my first book by Emily Goodwin but I’m hooked. I couldn’t put this down. The end of this book has me wanting the next book already! The character development was top notch, her writing evoked emotion and I can’t wait to find out what happens to these characters.
I received this book as an ARC and am leaving my honest review.
Thank you to Emily Goodwin for the opportunity to ARC read. All opinions are my own.
I was skeptical that this would be a copy and paste of Thorne Hill when I began reading, but I was pleasantly surprised and wrong. Wren is funny and likeable, and while she does align with the FMC in Thorne Hill, she kicks ass in her own ways and blazes her own trail. There are some issues with a couple of the characters names being spelled differently throughout the book, but aside from these errors, I didn’t have any issues with the writing or the book as a whole. The story was easy to follow, Wren’s wit kept me hooked, and there’s just enough spice to make things interesting. This book immediately hooked me and I’m so excited that I’m being reeled in by another Emily Goodwin series. I will absolutely be sat for the next ones.
I liked the storyline overall but the main characters are not fully developed in this book. A lot of glossing over really important things and rushing everything. Makes the writing feel immature and almost like a wattpad book. However, I still read the whole thing and will probably read the sequel.
I really enjoyed Wren's character who felt really fleshed out as a person especially as we work to uncover the truth of her heritage which I enjoyed uncovering. She had a great sense of humor but a lot of it is probably a defense mechanism growing up around hunters who despise her. Now when it comes to the two MMCs Devon and Xavier honestly, they weren't bad characters, but they honestly weren't that memorable to me. I sometimes forgot about Devon and Xavier was okay but when but for a mafia 700yr old vampire he didn't quite come off as menacing or dangerous. I do think his interactions with Wren were interesting and I enjoyed their banter. For the storyline I think the concept was an interesting one, but I do think some areas needed to be fleshed out a little more especially around the "love triangle" bc it seems a bit convoluted that she is married to the vampire to project an image of a happy vampire/human marriage but she is to still have the baby of his brother/nephew relation bc humans/vampires can't have baby's and it will be done the old fashion way so wouldn't that hurt the image they are trying to project and she sort of has feelings for Devon. The relationship just felt a little more convoluted that is may have needed to be and felt like an episode of Jerry Springer/Maury of married to one man but having his brothers/nephew's baby.
For me this book was okay but not terribly exciting but was an easy read. I liked the FMC, the mystery around her as well her magical talents. The rest was like I said okay. It does end on a cliff hanger.
----- This book is about Wren who was adopted by a demon hunter family who found her after her parents were murdered 20 years ago by vampires. When they adopted her, they thought they were just saving a human baby but what they didn't realize was that she was a witch which caused some problems to say the least as demon hunters hate witches but still her family raised her and trained her to be the best demon hunter of her generation so that she that she could one day get her vengeance. But just as she is close to finding the vampires responsible, her family gives her instead of their actual daughter to the Malus Mafia because of a deal made between the hunters and the vampire run syndicate centuries ago. All so she could marry and bear the children of one of their human descendants. So, she decides to play the part of the perfect bride in order to survive living among these vampires all while she plots how she can escape and get her revenge. But as the days pass living among the vampires, she starts to question everything she knows about vampires, and she starts to question her feelings not about the human groom but the feelings she is developing for his vampire brother.
I received an ARC Copy in exchange for an honest review.
It's been so long since I have read a Emily Goodwin book & I needed this.
When is a witch - but forced to suppress who she really is growing up in her adopted demon hunting family. The Order - the bosses of the demon hunting world- doesn't like anyone who is different from them which includes witches, vampires and werewolves. So Wren didn't get to grow up learning about magic or her family, and was always the outsider not only as a demon hunter, but in her family too for being different.
But one night she is taken - by a deal made between the Order and the Malus Mafia - a family of vampires. But she won't go quietly. Not to be bred, or be married off to one of the most powerful men in the country.
Soon secrets start coming out, and Wren begins wondering what she really knew about her family after all. Forced to navigate through her new reality, Wren must come to terms with her past, and her new future quickly if there is any hope of surviving.
So, it's been awhile since I read an Emily Goodwin book - but I have to say I loved reading about Wren and the Malus Mafia family.
Wren grew up in impossible conditions forced to make herself less than to appease others. She was made to feel like an outsider even in her own family. And the secrets that were uncovered would be enough to break just about anyone - but Wren was stronger than her circumstances and didn't let anything make her give up on what she wanted or who she wanted to be.
Devon was a distant blood relative of the Malus family - he grew up elite and pampered and was to be the one to continue the Malus family line - since vampires can't reproduce - with the hopes of becoming a vampire in the future.
Xavier is the head of the Malus family Mafia - and a 700 year old vampire. With one look at Wren he had to have her. Marrying her, claiming her.
Theo is Xavier's brother, but he doesn't like Wren. She complicates things - especially since she is a witch and can't be spelled to forget.
Wren must navigate through a world of a vampire Mafia that she didn't know anything about, and adapt quickly if she hopes to make it out alive.
I loved every second of this book. Of Wren finding herself & coming into her own. I loved her relationship with the Malus vampire Mafia. And I can't wait to see what is in store for these characters next.
This book was a little dark but oh so good, quick vampire read. & I definitely recommend for those who love a paranormal romance.
Over twenty years ago, Wren’s parents were killed by demons, and she was adopted into the Demon Hunter family who found her. When her witch powers ended up manifasting in childhood, Wren was told to keep them under wraps, as the relationship between Hunters and Witches have been tenuous at best. When the Order of Hunters comes to her home to collect a daughter to be used in an exchange agreed upon centuries ago with a powerful vampire family, she never expected that her family would offer her to fulfill the agreement.
When she is taken to what is to be her new home, she finds out that not only is she expected to help extend the vampire bloodline, but now has to marry Xavier, the leader of the Malus family. As she is immersed into this new world, she uncovers information regarding her life with her adoptive family, suggesting that things were not as they seemed, and everything she had been told has been a lie. Throughout all of this, she finds herself unable to fight the attraction she is feeling for her new husband, despite the external forces determined to punish them for being together.
I received an early copy of this book from the author and absolutely loved it. Having read the Thorne Hill series years ago, I am familiar with Emily Goodwin’s work, but I really enjoyed this new series. I love how unapologetically bad*ss Wren is, and rather than try to stifle her as her adoptive family has for years, Xavier not only encourages her to practice her skills, but trusts her to be able to stand on her own. The slow burn between them was delicious, and when they finally gave in, the chemistry was explosive! The book does end on a cliffhanger, and I can’t wait for book 2.
Blurb: Wren Russo has always been an outsider. The only witch ever to be raised among the Order of the Mystic Realm, she has spent her life hunting demons alongside a family who doesn’t fully accept her. But nothing could prepare her for the ultimate betrayal of being handed over as part of a centuries-old pact to the most feared vampire family in existence: the Malus Family.
Review: if you are a fan of The Mortal Instrument and The Originals, this is right up your alley. Just think Clary Fray being forced to marry Elijah Mikaelson! Yeah! Peaked your interest, didn’t it. This book immediately had me hooked. I devoured it and want to go back for seconds.
It follows Wren, a witch, who was orphaned as a baby and taken in by demon hunters. Human demon hunters who don’t particularly like any species other than humans. Let’s just say, the people that she thought were her family are hiding secrets from her when all she wants is to fit in and belong to the family.
When she is forced over to the Malus family as part of a secret arrangement, she gets more than she expected. She gets thrown into a world she knows little about but discovers so much more. At first, I really thought we were going to get a love triangle but I was extremely happy with the way the love story aspect went. What can I say? I would absolutely take a bite out of Xavier Malus. He will literally kill anyone who disrespects Wren. Swoon hard!🫠
Of course, it left off on a cliffhanger that had my palms sweating! I need to know what happens next.
Thank you @hambright_pr and @authoremilygoodwin for this amazing read!
🌶️🌶️🌶️ If you don't like cliffhangers, wait for book 2. I'm still not recovered from that ending.
“You have no idea how much it turns me on to think of you magically ripping someone to shreds,”
Thank you, Hambright PR and Emily Goodwin, for a review copy.
I know the universe will punish him. I saw it in the tea leaves.” “You drink tea?” “No, but sometimes the blood in my teacups leaves a pattern, so I read it.”
The vibes are 6⭐️ and the plot is great. Very modern paranormal romance, and I love how it's weaved into the plot. Interesting take on vampires and witches. The characters are all loveable in their own way, and both FMC Wren and her BFF Mable could be my BFFs. I love the mental health rep as it's not usually something you find in PNR monsters.
“I know you’re eager to consummate this relationship, but I assure you, waiting will make you want me more.”
While the lust is fast, the build-up of the romance is greatly appreciated. You can really tell Emily understands how to write good chemistry and lip biting scenes. This book really had everything I could ask for and more. I am feral until I get my hands on book two. Vibez girlies who love a possessive dark vampire daddy, this one is for you.
“Humans have feared what they don’t understand for as long as they’ve been on this earth.”

I really enjoyed this one! Twisted is packed with betrayal, secrets, magic, and plenty of “my wife” energy 🫠 The found family trope is done exactly how I love it and the spice hits just right 🔥
Wren is a witch raised by demon hunters. She’s never fit in, always had to prove herself, and grew up believing she was less than simply for being a witch. When her family sacrifices her to a 700 year old vampire to settle a centuries-old pact, she ends up married to one of the most powerful vampires… and expected to reproduce with his distant human brother (gotta keep that family line going) 😅
“𝙎𝙤 𝙙𝙤 𝙄 𝙜𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙮 𝙃𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙙’𝙨 𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙛𝙞𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙤𝙧 𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧?”
Now a member of the Malus vampire family, Wren gains a possessive yet protective husband (the sweetest touch her + die moments 😮💨), an unhinged but totally lovable sister-in-law, and an unexpected ally who always has her back. She’s encouraged to embrace her witch, not hide it, and as the secrets unravel, Wren discovers what true family looks like.
I was immediately hooked (flew through the first half in one day), loved Wren’s badass attitude and banter, and that cliffhanger definitely lingers. I’m excited to see how Wren and Xavier’s relationship grows in book 2 and what other secrets await!

4/5 ⭐️ 2.5/5 🌶
This was definitely an interesting read! Wren, who is a witch, finds herself becoming a hunter and stays with her adoptive family for the most part hunting demons. In comes Xavier, who is a vampire. Xavier and Wren find themselves in an arranged marriage and have to learn about one another's secrets.
My only complaint, is that the book did feel a bit juvenile at times. Wren's adopted family are very childish and are constantly making snide remarks towards her. Pretty much all of the humans are cruel to Wren even though her blood shows that she is technically also a human.
There are tons of crazy things going on in this story! People are constantly getting murders, demons are spawning, etc. There are plenty of secrets abouy Wren's past and I am suspicious of basically all of the characters in this book. I think they all have something they are trying to hide and Wren seems to be the center of their focus for whatever agenda they have. I am curious to see what happens in book 2! Thank you hambright_pr and Emily Goodwin for an ARC of this book! 🖤
Reminded me of "The Marionettes" - a witch and a vampire. Overall totally different setting, but still gave me some of the same vibes.
The concept and idea are interesting, but there were so many plot holes. I initially thought this was a debut novel - then I would have given 3 stars. The writing leaves quite a lot of room for improvement. Nothing really happens. The paranormal concept, the Order, hunters, there was so much promise to go into more detail, to do more with it.
The FMC acts like a 16-year old. She does question her new surroundings but at the same time just accepts it and on day 2 thinks about her hot captor. Sorry what? The twist about her background was superficial at best - there are so many details missing on so many levels. Unsure if there is supposed to be a love triangle (it's just awkward), but the relationships are unrealistic, the characters extremely shallow, the dialogues often forced and boring.
BUT I will say it was entertaining. I probably will not read book 2, but if you're looking for a vampire-witch-paranormal story mixed with some mafia vibes to cleanse your palette before starting a new high fantasy series - this is a fun read!
Twisted brought me right back to my Buffy days! A witch raised by demon hunters being handed over to a vampire mafia because of an ancient deal is a wild setup- and it totally worked!
Wren was easily my favorite part of this book. She’s sarcastic, guarded, and used to being treated like the outsider which made her reactions seem genuine. When she started to question everything she was taught and step into who she actually is was lovely, especially when the betrayals started coming out. The Malus family was intriguing, and Xavier’s controlled presence worked well for the forced marriage. I liked that their bond wasn’t rushed. It builds gradually through tension and small interactions instead of instant chemistry
This book is more about the mystery and world-building than straight romance, and I really liked that for the first book in a series. The cliffhanger definitely stings, but in a way that made me want the next book immediately. If you like darker paranormal romances with some sloppy situations and morally gray characters, this one’s worth picking up!
Well talk about keeping me on the hook for book 2!!! HOLY SMOKES!!
In a lot of forced/arranged marriage books, the FMC is sassy and angry and goes out of their way to fight their captor (as they should), and even attempt to escape. And I often wonder "how would I act"?
I think I found my answer in Twisted in the form of Florence "Wren". Yeah, she's mad. Yeah, she's sassy. But girl is RATIONAL. She sees scenarios play out and realistically understands what her best options are and proceeds logically.
Girl is smart. Logical. While still craving some semblance of an ideal life. Watching Wren tackle her new life and her old life is such an interesting mix, and even with seemingly normal thing, I was kept on my toes. There is tension every which way you turn.
Did I want to throw my Kindle at the end? Yep, sure did. But then I wouldn't have anything to read Wicked on when it comes out. So instead I'll just scream.
I absolutely devoured this book. Twisted is dark, addictive, and everything I want in a vampiric romantasy. Wren is a strong, determined FMC who refuses to stay small, even when she’s trapped in a world built to control her. Watching her uncover the truth about her bloodline and the bargains made in her name was gripping from start to finish.
The Malus family is dangerous, powerful, and impossible to look away from, and Xavier Malus is exactly the kind of morally gray vampire I love to hate and hate to love. The enemies to lovers tension, forced proximity, and supernatural mafia elements kept the stakes high and the chemistry simmering.
If you love vampires, dark urban fantasy, and romance that doesn’t pull its punches, this one delivers. Just be warned… that ending. Emily, how could you end it like that? I am dying for the next book.
Book one in the Malus Mafia series and already living rent free in my head.
Phew! I just finished this book and let me say, Emily hit it out of the park. She has this beautiful way of creating a world full of characters you can’t help but fall in love with.
Twisted follows Wren, a Hunter witch and Xavier a vampire. Wren was raised by her adopted family. She was taken from them in the middle of the night when the Malis family came to claim their once every 25 years woman. Wren and Xavier are drawn to one another and quickly become a force to be reckoned with.
Not going to lie this gave off some major BTVS vibes and I AM HERE FOR IT. there’s something poetic about a witch/hunter falling in love with a vampire. The ending? Cliffhanger- but I can’t be mad because this story was so beautifully written. I can’t wait for book two!!
Calling all Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural fans! This one’s for you!
If you love the Thornhill series get ready for a new vampire love and another kick ass witch! (I still love you Lucas) Wren is an orphan witch who is also a hunter. She has been the "black sheep" of her family her whole life. In one night that changes and cue the hot vampires. Xavier is everything you want in your next book boyfriend! Who else is down for a quickie arranged marriage that of course turns into more ❤️ This is the first in the Malus family series and will have you hooked! Emily brings this supernatural world to life. She writes with heart and real issues, despite the genre. There is laughter, love, anger and hopefullness all rolled into this page turner! I recommend starting this one if you haven't, and check out her other work to complete your supernatural world!
I’m still reeling from Twisted. Emily Goodwin has this rare ability to write characters who feel so real that you can’t help but care deeply about them. The story unfolds with perfect pacing — every twist hits hard, every emotional moment feels earned.
The writing is both raw and beautiful, and the emotional journey left me completely wrecked (in the best way). It’s one of those books that reminds you why you love reading — because it makes you feel.
If you want a story that’s heartfelt, intense, and lingers long after you finish, Twisted is a must-read.
Vampires with a mafia vibe. Yes please. Wren is living a half life, She is a badass hunter/slayer but she doesn’t quite fit in. Adopted but unwanted by those around her. One night changes everything for her. A centuries old agreement between the most powerful vampire family and the hunters puts Wren on a journey filled with secrets and lies. This was a up all night read for me. Enemies to lovers, slow burn, action I couldn’t put it down. Be warned the ending is a cliffhanger that will definitely have you wanting to throw your book. As always make sure you are comfortable with what you’re reading. Happy Reading🖤
My first read by Emily and I loved it. From the dedication about the ex husband it was an absolute must read. Then the tropes okay a witch who is also a hunter and was raised by hunters. She’s lived an okay life hunting demons keeps her entertained until one day a vampire shows up at the compound. She’s taken away to live with a vampire as a breeder. She soon finds out the people she thought she knew had been lying to her, her whole life. And the ones she lives with will become her new family. This book was so good and that ending had my mouth dropped I need the second book to find out what happens next.
