The Fall Before Flight: A Doctor/Patient Forbidden Romance

Rate this book
They call this place Oasis, and he's the doctor in charge.
He thinks he can save me. Heal me. Catch me if I fall...
Yeah, right.

Dr. Leo Chastain is a mouthwatering distraction.
For that reason alone, I'm inclined to play his game.
He doesn't know I'm incapable of emotions that come naturally to others -
Fear, compassion, love...
I might be a sociopath.

I warned him my kind of broken can't be fixed.
That the harder he pushes, the harder I'll push back.
Until he's broken, too.

I warned him.

The Fall Before Flight is a standalone therapist/patient forbidden romance with a happily ever after!

𝗜 found this story very interesting. I enjoy reading about the complexities of forbidden relationships, such as the one between a psychologist and his patient. Mia is a deeply layered character, struggling with mental health issues following an accident and coping by suppressing her memories. Leo, her psychologist, is responsible for helping her recover those memories, but their mutual attraction jeopardizes Mia's progress and Leo's professional reputation.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 story unfolds slowly, touching upon themes of mental illness and forbidden love. The solo narration by 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗮 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗿 perfectly breathes life into the story, with 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 reading the epilogue.

𝗜𝗳 you're drawn to slow-burn forbidden romances, this is the audiobook for you. Many thanks to the author and MLA for this listening copy. All thoughts shared are my own.
