Samuel “Scar” Redmond knows the scars that paint his body make him unworthy of a woman’s love. It doesn’t matter. He’s found a home and a family with the Silver Snakes. He’s never needed anyone but them. But meeting her changes everything…

Josie Moore is running. Running from an abusive ex and the memories that haunt her. The waitress job at Holly Oaks under the watchful gaze of her aunt seems like the perfect place to hide and recover. But every day, a man named Scar sits in her section, and she begins to feel something she’s never felt before. Can she find the strength to open her heart again?

Little by little, two wounded people will find each other…and a love that can last forever.

Scar earned his road name in a war zone. Josie earned her scars as the result of domestic violence. When Scar comes across Josie broken down on the side of the road his defences are shattered. She is his to protect even if he is not going to do anything about it.
When circumstances mean Josie needs to stay with him at his cabin they can no longer hide their feelings. This is a really sweet read with enough spice to keep everyone happy.
This is book three in the series but you can read it as a stand alone.

Scar completely drew me in! I loved every moment of Scar and Josie’s story it’s raw, emotional, and utterly captivating. The slow burn of their connection is beautifully done, with each small interaction building into a deeply satisfying romance.

Scar’s tough exterior hides a vulnerable heart, and Josie’s journey of healing and rediscovery makes their connection feel authentic and heartfelt. The friends-to-lovers dynamic is perfectly executed, showing the beauty of trust, patience, and finding love after trauma. Their chemistry is tender, emotional, and swoon-worthy, making every page a joy to read.

Harper Michaels crafts a story that’s full of heart, depth, and real emotion. I loved following these two wounded souls as they slowly open themselves to love, and this book left me feeling warm, invested, and completely satisfied.

Scar and Josie

We are back in the Silver Snakes MC world. This time with a story that breaks your heart but rebuilds it stronger then ever before. Its a wild ride full of angst, tension, and a couple twists you did not see coming.

We get Scar's story here. We seen more of him in Bricks book. He holds more then just the scars on his face. There in his heart too. Hes a broken man with a traumatic past.

Josie is on the run. An abusive ex boyfriend who is even shadier then the devil himself. She builds walls around her heart and doesn't trust anyone but her aunt Betty.

These were meant to be. From instant crush to learning that there is someone out there for them. These two heal each other and find a way to open themselves back up.

Im so excited to see Blaze in the next book and who his leading lady will be!

Scar is a beautifully emotional short read that really surprised me in the best way. I loved how Scar and Josie’s relationship grows slowly, step by step, allowing their connection to feel genuine, deep, and meaningful. Both characters carry their own scars — some visible, some hidden — and the way they learn to heal alongside each other is truly touching.

For me, the real highlight of this book is Scar himself. His insecurity surrounding his scars, the way he hides them and sees himself as unworthy because of them, adds a raw vulnerability to his character. Beneath his hard exterior, he’s gentle, wounded, and so easy to care about. Josie is exactly the kind of heroine who can help him see that his worth has never been defined by what he looks like.

Their friends-to-lovers journey feels heartfelt and tender, with a slow emotional build that makes their relationship incredibly satisfying. Harper Michaels delivers a story filled with warmth, healing, and quiet strength — the kind that stays with you after you turn the last page.

I received an ARC from Nisha's Books and Coffee and Harper Michaels, and this is my honest review.

This is such a good one! Scar is goals! Even though his is a MC badass alpha, he’s still shy and self conscious with Josie and it’s the sweetest! Love this!!!

so good

I can’t believe what she went through with her ex. Glad she found the guy that could take care of that bad apple she was with. Good story with a good ending.

Scars We Bare

Wow, what a fantastic read! This story drew me in right from the start. Scar and Josie’s journey was emotionally charged as their past present walls that take some time to overcome. I really enjoyed every moment of each chapter, and I couldn't get enough of it.
