She became my darkest obsession, and my heart her darkest possession. Indigo Taylor once held my life in her hands. Only to take my name instead.
She was supposed to be my captive bride. The perfect possession kneeling by my feet. Nothing more than a means to an end.
Until she became the object of my obsession.
From one dark night to another, I peeled back the layers guarding her heart to taste the dark desires burning inside. And made her realize that I’m not the only monster in our bed.
But in doing so, I did something neither of us expected me to do. I fell for her—so utterly and completely—that I would do whatever it takes to keep her by my side.
My enemies took her away from me. They think they can keep her away from me.
But they have no idea just how far I’m willing to go to bring her back.
Because Indigo didn’t just take my name. She also claimed my heart.

It’s so frustrating when a good story is plagued with typos and errors. Also timeline issues. “A week later” which is like a week after thanksgiving and then in the same chapter talking about finding out about the sex of the baby around Christmas and now she’s six months pregnant. Just don’t say a week later and you’re fine. But I loved the characters and put up with it for that.
So when I started reading the first book of this series I didn’t even know if was a duet… but I’m so happy it was because I couldn’t get enough— I loved the MMC and the FMCs relationship… at times the FMC did annoy me because she acted like this boss bitch in front of the MMC but in front of everyone else she was so wimpy.. I don’t know that just kinda annoyed me and she forgot about her baby sister a lot in the storyline lol
Overall though I did like it, it had all the trobes I usually go for
Her Darkest Possession picks up right where the first book in the duet left off and boyyyy, were the stakes high in this one.
“You are my queen, Indigo.”
I said it before and I’ll say it again…I think what sets Anatoly apart from others is how he really balanced his loyalties to his Bratva, family, and wife. He didn’t just go off killing people unless it was ABSOLUTELY the only option, he gave people chances (more than my petty self ever would have!), and had a very calm and collected way of operating.
“Love changes everything.”
Indigo was such a queen in this one. She really stepped up and became a backbone for Anatoly, accepting the life that she now leads and all the responsibility that it comes with.
This book was really about the “after” part in a relationship, the hardest part where building trust and a real viable future is faced with challenges. Certain characters got me SOOOOO MAD, but the ending they got was worth the angst. Honestly, I really liked how Anatoly and Indigo came together as a unit, a growing family that really went through a lot of betrayal with those around them and yet they came out the other end stronger than ever. I liked the pacing because no conflict truly lasted that long and while sometimes it felt like one thing after the other was attacking our main couple, it also reiterated the idea that no matter what comes at them, they pull through.
Brook really put a lot into this darker duet and I appreciated how emotional and deep it felt because of that. As a duet, this story felt complete in every way. It wasn’t just about surviving the dark but learning to live and love within it. Anatoly and Indigo’s journey came full circle, showing that real power lies in vulnerability and trust.
I really enjoyed the conclusion to Anatoly and Indigo's story. It had heartbreak, plenty of action, and lots of steamy scenes. While the first book had been a little repetitive. That was not an issue here. It flowed nicely from start to finish. The suspense kept everything interesting and moving forward and I really started to feel a deeper connection between Anatoly and Indigo.
I really appreciated how much Indigo's character grew from the first book till now. She wasn't the same naive girl who wanted to pretend everything was fine. She understood the stakes now and made the appropriate calls to protect herself while still being her usual compassionate self.
For being a Bratva leader Anatoly didn't seem to think through all scenarios. There were things he should have planned better for and anticipated. I did like how he tried so hard to be there for Indigo and show her how he felt. He stepped up in that department which was nice to see.
This was an exciting story. The characters grew on me and I really liked the supporting cast. The story held me attention and kept me reading late into the night to see what happens. The writing was nice and descriptive so it was easy to picture everything as it played out. I would definitely recommend it to all the mafia/bratva aficionados!!
I loved watching Indigo grow stronger with every chapter. Her transformation isn’t just about surviving; it’s about reclaiming her power and finding her voice. The way her relationship with Anatoly develops absolutely captivated me — it radiates power, love, and intensity. It’s not just him protecting her; it’s them protecting each other.
And then the spice hits — and wow, it hits. The scenes are intense, detailed, and full of emotion, perfectly heightening everything that’s already simmering between them. The chemistry is addictive; once it starts, you can’t look away.
The twists and turns had me flipping pages like I needed to breathe, and the drama had me completely on edge. My heart broke at one point, but the payoff was worth every second. The ending felt powerful, satisfying, and absolutely perfect for Indigo and Anatoly.
Part 2 of the Baryshev Bratva did not disappoint! Anatoly and Indigo’s love gets them through so many things! Shocking developments had me holding my breath! I loved that you didn’t have to wait for several chapters for something to get resolved but the next thing you knew, there was another catastrophe! The comeuppance of each villain was so satisfying!!! This duet was so good! Definitely recommend!
Book two of an awesome duet series. You will get the ending of a lifetime for this dynamic couple. Indigo & Anatoly are a match in the Bravta family. He will move heaven and earth to save her even if it includes eliminating his own mother. Indie will fight the world to save her husband. They face many obstacles. some which include facing other mafia clans. Many triggers but so worth reading the conclusion!! Ms. WIlder has written the perfect duet again!!
Ehh it could have been better. The spelling and wording mistakes again took away from the story. The timelines were all wacky. We went from being 2 months pregnant at Thanksgiving to being 6 months pregnant yet the heading says 1 week later. It honestly could have been condensed into one book if the repetitive scenes had been cut down. The spitting though? Took away a whole star just for that.
Im usually a huge fan of Brook Wilder. But this second book feels like it was rushed to be published. There are grammatical mistakes, spelling errors, plot discrepancies and things that just confused me. It was a great story and I loved reading it, but all the grammatical problems really bothered me.
I enjoyed this book quite a lot and read it quickly. I would have rated it a 4, but there are several missing words where I either had to guess what was supposed to be or just read over it to keep going. Also, I wanted more karma for Lola with Indigo stepping in to get her own justice.
Love , love every Brooke Wilder book I ever get my hands on because her characters are so good but so bad. She writes strong women protagonists to match equally strong but loyal and eventually loving men. Anatoly and Indigo are meant to be from the first time they meet and the details are delicious.
The relationship between the MCs was great to read. The brat a parts of the book were a little unrealistic. Throughout this series, the relationship more than made up for it.
This book was better than the first. Still a bit hard to read at times and there were some grammer and wording mistakes. The plot was much better in this book though and the spice scenes could be done right nasty 😂.
This book was better. Just wish we had a better FMC. She took away from this story completely. Our MMC stole the show!!!! He carried this series all the way.
This second book. Dear god.... I could not put it down, it was so good! While i am still mad about a certain characters "event", it was still a fantastic read.
An astounding conclusion to the very Baryshev Bratva duet!! Every moment of this book keeps you on the edge of your seat. Like the first book, I was consumed by Anatoly and Indigo’s electrifying action packed romance. Just when I thought things would start to settle … bang! another chaotic situation occurs. The twist and turns are thrilling and fascinating. The sizzling factor climbs to a new high and the connection between Anatoly and Indigo is breathtaking. A perfect escape into a world filled with suspense, danger, and profound intimate and touching moments. These characters are so likeable and heart-gripping,you can’t help but want their happily ever after. So, if you’re looking for a mafia romance that is emotionally captivating, sinfully enticing and remarkably entertaining, you will be delighted with this outstanding romance.
