Aurora Stevens was the last woman I expected to want.
Sharp-tongued, fiercely independent, and guarded behind walls no one seemed able to breach, she was the exact opposite of my usual type.
Which should have made staying away easy.
I came to Harbor Springs looking for one thing—a carefree summer before starting the career that would shape the rest of my life. No complications. No attachments. Definitely no women who looked like trouble wrapped in beauty and barbed wire.
But Aurora wasn’t just trouble.
Behind those striking blue eyes was something deeper—something wounded, complicated, and impossible to ignore. The more I tried to keep my distance, the harder it became.
Because beneath the armor she wore so well was a woman worth fighting for.
The only question was whether Aurora would ever trust anyone enough to let them in…
Or if the world she lived in would destroy us both before she had the chance.
Chase is running from a recent heartbreak. Aurora is a girl who’s hardened with secrets. When Chase vacations in her town, these two absolutely can’t stand each-other. They couldn’t be more different… but neither of them can stop thinking about the other.
This is the first book in a trilogy so it lays a lot of the ground work. The banter between Chase and Aurora was fantastic… and the spice? Even better. The more I read I wanted to know all of Auroras secrets and just how deep they went. I wanted to know the secrets of this summer town full of rich kids. About halfway is when we really start to feel the weight that Aurora is carrying and boy is it heavy. Then Chase who finds out just how wrong he was about her and how he desperately wants to help and protect her.
The book ends of a cliffhanger, nothing crazy but has me desperately wanting to know what happens between Chase and Aurora!
ᴛʀᴏᴘᴇꜱ: street racing, enemies to lovers, hate to love, angsty romance, dual POV, banter, summer romance, bad girl x good boy, hurt x comfort
𝘔𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴: Very happy release day!!
Waiting on tomorrow is book 1 in a trilogy called Until forever. I LOVED this story so much! I was hooked right from chapter 1, I’m a sucker for enemies to lovers and this one did not disappoint. I really liked the emotional depth of this story, besides the tension and angst between the FMC and MMC they were two people carrying their own weight of traumas struggles and vulnerabilities. It warmed my heart when they eventually began to slowly let their walls down and open up to one another, to go from I’m unloveable to accepting love and not being afraid of it. Both the FMC and MMC had amazing chemistry and character growth, this story had the perfect balance for me of the angst and romance. This book ends on a cliffhanger that will have you wanting to read the next book immediately!! I throughly enjoyed this and can’t wait to read more from this series. If you love enemies to lovers great banter/bickering lots of tension and a brilliant summer romance with a bit of street racing you should definitely add this book to your TBR! 👌🏻🤩
𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘐 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥: ♡ the banter ♡ the sexual tension ♡ the SPICE 🔥🔥🔥🔥

* enemies to lovers * summer romance * spice & lots of tension
From the moment I started this book, I was completely hooked and couldn't put it down.
Aurora, the FMC, is an absolute force to be reckoned with. She confidently challenges traditional gender expectations with wit, sass, and unapologetic determination. Chase, the MMC, initially appears reserved and content to keep to himself, but he quickly finds himself drawn to Aurora's beauty, confidence, and vibrant personality, despite his own hesitations.
Both characters are carrying the weight of past heartbreak and unresolved trauma, and they initially lean on each other as a source of comfort and healing. However, it soon becomes clear that their connection runs far deeper than simple attraction. I found myself fully invested in their journey and eager to see where their relationship would lead... and I was not disappointed!
The side characters were equally fantastic, adding depth, humour, and charm to the story. The witty banter throughout the novel was one of my favourite aspects.
This is a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers summer romance with just the right amount of spice to enhance the story without overshadowing the plot or character development.
The novel also explores some difficult and emotional topics, all of which are handled with care and sensitivity by the author. I would recommend checking the trigger warnings before reading.
If you enjoy slow-burn romance, compelling character growth, sharp banter, and emotionally driven relationships, I highly recommend giving this book a read.
Waiting on Tomorrow was my first book by Gwen Parks, and it definitely won't be my last. From the very first chapter, I was drawn into the story and completely invested in the characters. Gwen Parks has a wonderful way of making her characters feel authentic, with emotions that are easy to connect with and a romance that develops naturally. The chemistry between the main characters was undeniable, and I found myself rooting for them every step of the way. What I loved most was the balance of heartfelt emotion, hope, healing, and romance. The story reminds us that life doesn't always unfold the way we expect, but sometimes the delays and detours lead us exactly where we're meant to be. There were moments that made me smile, moments that tugged at my heart, and a cliffhanger ending that has waiting for book 2. If you're looking for a contemporary romance with relatable characters, emotional depth, and a beautiful message about love, second chances, and trusting the journey, I highly recommend Waiting on Tomorrow. I'm so glad I discovered Gwen Parks and can't wait to read more of her books.
I really enjoyed Waiting on Tomorrow by Gwen Parks. This was such a strong start to the Until Forever series and had me hooked from the beginning.
I’m always a sucker for a good enemies to lovers romance, and this one delivered. The banter between the FMC and MMC was sharp, the tension was undeniable, and their constant push and pull kept me turning the pages. I loved how the FMC had that tough, take no nonsense attitude, while the MMC slowly worked his way past all her walls.
What really stood out for me was the emotional depth. Under all the angst and tension were two characters carrying their own pain and vulnerabilities, and watching them slowly let each other in was beautiful. The unlovable to loved storyline hit me right in the feels, and there were definitely a few moments that tugged at my heart. Add in some great chemistry and just the right amount of angst, and this was a really enjoyable read that has me excited for the rest of the series.
I really enjoyed Waiting on Tomorrow and thought it was a strong start to the Until Forever trilogy. If you love enemies to lovers romances with sharp banter, undeniable chemistry and plenty of tension, this one is definitely worth picking up. Aurora and Chase are both well-developed characters with emotional depth and I loved watching their relationship evolve as they slowly lowered their walls. The slow-burn romance felt natural, with just the right amount of spice to complement the story without taking over the plot. The supporting cast added plenty of charm and the summer setting, mixed with a touch of street racing, gave the story a fun and unique atmosphere. While the first book focuses on laying the foundation for the series, it kept me invested throughout and left me eager to continue. Overall, this was an engaging, emotional romance with great character growth, heartfelt moments and plenty of anticipation for what's to come. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
First of all thank you so much to Gwen and Ember Literary PR for allowing me an advance reader copy.
If you’re into enemies to lovers, great bickering banter that you can literally feel the tension, summer romance or bad girl x good boy or street racing? Than this series is definitely for you.
This was such a great and strong start to the Until Forever Series. The story totally consumes you since the beginning trying to understand why the main characters act the way they do and can relate to them at some point.
Seeing such complex and at the same time vulnerable characters sold it for me. The unlovable to loved hit me right on feels.
Great story can’t wait to read the next book after that cliffhanger at the end. 📖
- Enemies to lovers - Bad girl x good boy - Summer romance - Street racing - Hate to love
What did I just read?! It had me hooked! Enemies to lovers seems like an understatement. The banter and bickering were spot on, the push and pull entertaining and infuriating. The sexual tension and chemistry is off the charts, and the steam is steaming. Chase was awfully judgy, and I wanted to throat punch him a few times, but he grows on you and you'll come to adore him. Aurora is an absolute force. Everything she does to keep her circle safe, along with her own mental health, I can see why Chase misjudged her. This ends on a little cliffy nothing too big, but it'll definitely leave you wanting the next book asap.
I received an advance review copy for free provided by the author. I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you Gwen Parks!
This book was great. I finished it in one day. I was hooked and couldn’t put it down.
Both characters carry the weight of there past. They lean on each other to find comfort and to heal. The emotional connection was of the shards. And let not forget about there chemistry! It was on fire 🔥🔥
If you like 👉 summer romance 👉 slow burn 👉 enemies to lovers 👉 spice 🌶️ 👉 sharp banter 👉 hate to love
I was hooked from the first chapter and couldn’t put this one down! Aurora is fierce, witty, and completely unapologetic, while Chase is quiet, guarded, and impossible not to love.
I loved the slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers romance, the chemistry, and all the banter. Both characters had great emotional growth, and the side characters were a fun bonus. The heavier topics were handled with care, so I’d recommend checking the trigger warnings.
A solid 4-star read if you love emotional romances with plenty of tension and heart.
Chase and Aurora’s story was filled with drama, banter, angst, and tension in the best possible way. I absolutely loved the enemies to lovers dynamic, and the bad girl x good boy trope was done perfectly. Aurora is fiercely strong and independent but Chase sees beyond the walls she puts up. No matter how much he insists he doesn't like her, he's drawn to her and constantly finds himself wanting to protect her. Their chemistry was incredible and kept me hooked the whole time!!
**ARC Review** ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chase and Aurora are drawn together from the beginning. No matter how much Chase wants to keep his distance, he just cant. Aurora is a feisty, strong minded and independent queen who likes to be in control at all times, except for when Chase manages to break down her walls. Reading their romance blossom is so beautiful. Highly recommend this book
First book in a contemporary romance trilogy. Both FMC & MMC are dealing with their own personal trauma & heartbreak. They have great banter together. This is a slow burn, enemies to lovers story with some heavy emotional topics. It ends on a cliffhanger to lead into the next book.
*I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
ARC READ I absolutely loved the writing style! This was truly an enemies to lovers. The chemistry between the two was amazing weather it was hateful or lustful. The inter monologue of both main characters about one another was top tier 👌 ill be patiently waiting for the next book. I need to know how it all plays out!
Loved these characters. Loved the banter. Loved the push and pull they each gave throughout. There were moments that broke my heart a little. Also the ending is a cliffhanger and it got me right in the feels. Hate that I can't read the next one now!
Chase and Aurora have an intense dynamic. The push and pull between them is electric and the banter was amazing. Chase gradually chipped away at Aurora’s walls and realizes he misjudged her. Chemistry between them sizzled and can’t wait for the next book.
Chase and Auroras chemistry is undeniable! I love the back and forth between the two. I love Auroras personality and how she takes no BS. The back and forth between them was excellently executed! Can’t wait to read the rest of the trilogy!
The chemistry between the mcs was undeniable from the beginning but I love that auroras not even just a black cat she is just so fierce and confident and she is the type of woman that men are afraid of cus she will reject them and embarrass them when she does it and I just love her.
Wow…talk about an epic start to a trilogy!!! Aurora and Chase absolutely despise each other but cannot stay away from each other. So much angst and heat and f-it moments! This is a first read from this author for me and I absolutely loved it! Cannot wait for book 2!
The first chapter was really hard to get through i wish the Author could have shortened the description of Aurora. Along the way it got better. I always say about my husband he really irritates me but it keeps you grounded and life interesting. Lol
I really enjoyed this one but I need book 2 now. The banter and the tension was on fire, add in some spice and a few secrets and this book just keeps you wanting more.
Chase and Aurora were so good in this. Their attraction was so undeniable. The push and pull between them had me devouring this one. I couldn’t get enough. I need the next book.
I immediately want to read more, that cliffhanger! I cannot wait to read the next book. This book had it all, the emotional depth in this story where both main characters are carrying their own different types of trauma and struggles.
The chemistry between both characters was perfect and had a perfect balance of everything romance and tension!
