She doesn't remember the day she left him. He's never forgotten.
I lost my memory in a single moment.
My name. My past. Everything I used to be—gone.
The only clue I have is a small town called Blue River and a ranch where people say I used to live.
So I went back.
That's where I met Chase.
A quiet cowboy with kind hands and eyes that hold secrets I can't quite name. He helps me settle in, teaches me the rhythms of ranch life, and never quite tells me the whole truth.
He says we were childhood friends.
But friends don't look at each other the way he looks at me—like he's memorizing my face in case I disappear again.
And they don't flinch when I smile, like it costs them something.
Every second I spend here, I feel myself falling for him.
But the memories are starting to come back…
And with them, the truth I'm not sure I'm ready to face.
I didn't just forget this town.
I forgot the man I walked away from.
And now I'm falling in love with him all over again—except this time, he knows exactly how it ends.
What happens when remembering everything means losing the only thing that feels real?
When I Forgot Us is a clean, heartwarming Christian romance about second chances, lost love, and finding your way home. Perfect for readers who love emotional small-town stories, cowboy heroes, and faith-filled HEAs.

Michelle returns to her hometown after 15 years when she loses her long-term memory due to an accident. She is staying with her aunt who is trying to help her regain her memory by introducing her to familiar people and places. Chase has been in love with her since his teens and was hurt badly when she left town 15 years earlier, but she does not recognize him. Will they have a second chance for their love to develop?
I love all the well-written characters in this story. The descriptions of the town and the ranch make me want to visit. I mostly appreciate all the Christian principles such as prayer, Bible reading, and seeking God’s will and His timing.
Favorite quotes: “I think God has a reason for everything. We may never understand the why, and maybe we’re not meant to.” “He didn’t understand why, but one thing he’d learned through the years was to listen when God gave him direction.”

A very gripping story of lost love and lost memories. This is the first book in this series and I am so anxious for the next book to be released. As we read Chase and Michelle's story, we learn so many inspirational truths. An enjoyable read with so much more and a HEA ending. Great book and a very talented author.
This author doesn't disapoint. What you'll find: God, romance, mistakes, forgiveness. All wrapped in a lovely ranch life package 🙂. I enjoyed it and recommend!
When a young woman loses her memory due to a car accident will she regain it if she goes back to her hometown? I liked how this author didn't rush giving Michelle her memory back. But instead let Michelle become friends with an old beau, Chase. As they spend time together in the places Michelle once knew and liked bits and pieces of memories come back to her. Once her memory is restored will she remember why she left town in the first place? Will that cause her to run away again? I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. The opinions and comments are entirely my own.0
