January: Birch & Snowdrop

Rate this book
They say the Rhavari sleep beneath the roots, waiting for the scent of a soul worth waking for.

This winter, one finally does.

He watches her cross the snow, blade in hand—never knowing the monster was already hers.

Love was never meant to bloom in the dark—but some souls are born to find each other anyway.

In a forest ruled by an ancient winter god, love was the only hunt that could undo him.

Lumi didn’t enter the frozen Rhavari woods to fall for the beast who ruled them.

She came to murder the man who stole her sister’s life.

Andrik, ancient and cursed, bound to the forest by blood and birthright—was only a myth.

Or so she thought.

The Rhavarians were nothing but whispered warnings, carved into birch bark and bedtime stories.

Until the scent of her soul stirred the winter air—clinging to something long forgotten, awakening a bond he never thought possible.

Now, forced to face the truths she buried long ago, Lumi must

the monster who stole her enemy’s life—

or the one about to claim her own.

The forest sees everything.

Even the things you thought you buried.

A gothic romantasy debut for readers who

• fated mates
• feral devotion
• broken boys with brutal hearts
• and monsters who would raze the world—just to hold your hand

I had the honor of beta reading this truly amazing book. By far one of my favorite reads probably ever! The characters are all genuine and the author describes their thoughts, feelings, struggles and victories in such vivid details that I could really emphasize with all of them. While a romantasy novel, this story touches on several real world issues like grief, police negligence just to name a few. Unique magic system and a consent king to swoon over. The author even created an entire language that the MMC speaks adoringly to the FMC. I laughed (out loud!) I cried, I fanned myself over the spice, and I nearly threw my phone across the room in frustration. I absolutely recommend this book!

great read

Loved it! Slightly hard to get used with the different words of Andrik’s language but once you start to learn them it’s a great read!

One of my favorite reads ever! I absolutely loved Andrik and Lumi. (And Bimby) I gave my husband some serious side eye after reading the declarations of love that Andrik made throughout the book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
