I had the honor of beta reading this truly amazing book. By far one of my favorite reads probably ever! The characters are all genuine and the author describes their thoughts, feelings, struggles and victories in such vivid details that I could really emphasize with all of them. While a romantasy novel, this story touches on several real world issues like grief, police negligence just to name a few. Unique magic system and a consent king to swoon over. The author even created an entire language that the MMC speaks adoringly to the FMC. I laughed (out loud!) I cried, I fanned myself over the spice, and I nearly threw my phone across the room in frustration. I absolutely recommend this book!

I absolutely love everything about this book. From being absolutely devoted to the MMC to loathing SMC. She had me on the edge of my seat multiple times. This author is amazing talented and will be up there with some of my favorite authors. From creating her own language, that is actually used throughout the book. To the depth these characters dig into your soul. This book was so good that I emailed allurial to get this author out there more. She deserves so much plus a person on etsy is now working to make a special edition for this book. She will reach high stars and I cant wait till I can go to her in person to get a her to sign all the books I get from her.

I wanted to love this
I loved the idea of this book but the execution was so off. Very repetitive and incessant angst. Miscommunication is often used as a plot device, which is a huge ick for me. The two main characters read like immature middle schoolers drumming up the same drama over and over for absolutely no reason.
Andrik was a character concept I really wanted to enjoy, but the author would make him sound like a modern (and young) man out of nowhere, which didn’t match his ancient-ness or his poetic way of thinking. It’s confusing and pulls you out of the story.
There’s an incredibly annoying stalker character as well, which I didn’t think was going to be such a massive part of the story. I found myself skipping or skimming through the “Anonymous POV” after a while because the musings of this character wrenched me out of the story and just sort of went on and on.
I made it more than halfway before I had to DNF - the plot was going absolutely nowhere and the same nonsense and dialogue kept happening. If this book got into the hands of a great editor, I would love to revisit it.

The level of devotion from the MMC, 👩🍳💋
Love an MMC that talks you through it… 🫦 and honestly, even the bad guy, the stalker in this book, talked her through it, so damn well that I felt violated, almost!
The way their lives were connected 🤯 such a great twist that I didn’t see coming!
I am a sucker for a language barrier! So I absolutely loved that the MMC had his own language that he whispered sweet nothings to the FMC the whole book! 🫠🥰😍 (also loved the glossary at the end of the book that showed you how to announce each word!!)

Wow this was much more than a smutty monster romance (which it totally was and it was fantastic), there was a magical stalker and the dealings of the gods and forest spirits, soul bonds, and a reincarnation part at the end! This kept me hooked and I enjoyed every second of it! It was a combo modern and fantasy setting with modern language and ancient language used to seduce and woo, everything he said in his ancient tongue was beautiful!❤️ the smut- 10/10🥵 the plot 10/10❤️❤️ the romance 10/10❤️❤️ the typos the author warned us about were there but not often or glaring enough to detract from the story. This definitely makes my top 5 list for monster romances!

Amazing
Listen. This book is not what I expected in the BEST way. I went in completely blind and the twists in this story are absolutely amazing. The spicy scenes are SPICY and I freaking love Andrik and Lumi. Cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!

Great spice!
The spice in this is superb! Parts of the book had me screaming in laughter. I fell in love with Andrik right along with Lumi.

So Thrahking good!
I found this book via a facebook group (if you know you know) and the author had made a post with the book. I was like...say less when i saw the tags.
Let me tell you i thought this book would be a fast read short nice smut on 150 pages. No No No. I got 500+ pages of pure joy. This book had me laughing outloud, i love the bratty Lumi and i either wanna be her or i want to be an sandwich with her and Andrik.
And Andrik.....to qoute Lumi " Oh no he's hot".
I love how Andrik's character is not set in stone, he can go from the ruthless monster with no mercy (in the furrs), makeing Lumi BEG. And the next time they switch.
This big fierce frosty monster is begging, wimpering ( lord have mercy on my soul...im love me a wimpering male) and letting Lumi take controll aswell. Even tho we all thrahking know that he could easily break bonds and just take what he want.
Storywise its fast-paced, they fall hard and fast. Bet get this im more used to fast-paced stories being short. We got as ive said 500+pages och it! Sometimes it got to be a lot with the language, reading on the kindle made me not wanna go to the last pages to read what words meant. But i dont feel like i got "left out" in context either way.
I loved how that " villain" of the stprues also had a deeper meaning. I gotta say i had beef with him...cockblocking and aaaallll. But i both hated him and felt sorry for him at the same time.
Im excited to read the rest of this series, the first book had almost all of my...preferens for a monster romance without the heavy world building. It was a great longer read to have inbetween more "drama romances worldbuilding books."
The onlything that was not answered that i want to know is how the whole mortal/imortal relationship will go...I hopw that we might get to meet Lumi and Andri in the other books and that the other 13 souldbounds will get a good hea. Because it breaks my heart if they just found each other (Andrik waiting 3000+ years) to just get maybe 50 years or something.
If we dont get an answer for this im just gonna assume the forest (that is magical and one of the gods sacred places) might grant Lumi a longer lifespan.

This book frustrated me because the ingredients were THERE.
Ancient winter beast MMC? Soulmate bond? Atmospheric magical forest? Obsessive devotion? A dangerous stalker? Say less. I was READY to eat this up.
And honestly? I kinda did.
I read almost 600 pages in two days.
But somewhere along the way I realized this book kept giving me the same emotional beat over and over again without really progressing. The atmosphere was beautiful, the writing was immersive, the devotion was intense… but after a while I started asking myself: okay, but where are we actually going?
And I’m sorry, but the stalker had more narrative presence than the MMC for large parts of this book. I did NOT want the stalker to win, but at least he was moving the plot. Meanwhile Andrik spent a huge portion of the story apologizing, suffering, spiraling, and failing to protect Lumi while the stalker kept running circles around him.
And the craziest part is this book had HEAT. Real heat. The writing was lush, emotional, obsessive, intense. On paper, this should have destroyed me. But somehow the spice never fully landed for me emotionally. I think because the story stayed in the same emotional place for so long that eventually even the intimate scenes stopped feeling like progression and started feeling like repetition.
Also… the made-up language. One or two words? Cute. Atmospheric. Romantic. Full translated sentences every few pages? Alright now. We doing too much.
And yet… despite ALL my complaints… I still could not put it down.
That’s what makes this review so hard.
Because this isn’t a bad book at all. It’s actually a very immersive one. It just desperately needed tighter pacing, stronger progression, and a more proactive MMC. There’s a genuinely talented writer here. I can absolutely see why some readers are swooning and throwing 5 stars at this.
Unfortunately, I’m not one of them.
But I am rooting for this author because the potential is loud.

After her sister’s serial killer is mysteriously found dead in the forest, FMC Lumi meets her monster mate—a yeti-like creature named Andrik. He recognizes their bond immediately, and she just kind of… goes with it. She basically gets super horny for a monster whose only human feature is his face. But while she’s trying to get it on with her overprotective, furry mate, she realizes she’s being stalked. And not in the fun way. Someone is watching her, and they aren’t happy that she’s found Andrik.
This book didn’t seem to know what it wanted to be. Monster romance? Stalker thriller? It kept swinging wildly back and forth. The only reason it earned any stars from me was the smut. There are definitely some one-handed reading scenes.
But even though the MMC is literally a yeti, it’s barely mentioned after the first few chapters. Sure, he speaks another language and can do magic, but the dude is a giant covered in fur. Even if they’re fated mates, you’d think the human would be a little more weirded out—or at least have more questions.
The stalker chapters were genuinely well done. I was thoroughly creeped out. But it never really made sense why a random human with knowledge of all this magic would become obsessed with someone who just happened to be mated to a yeti.
As spoiler-free as I can make it, the ending was… weird. There was a magical explanation for everything, everyone basically forgave each other, and it all wrapped up a little too neatly for the first book in what’s supposed to be a 12-book series.
Overall, I wasn’t impressed. Read it for the smut if that’s your thing, but don’t feel like you’re missing out if you’re looking for a compelling story.

I made a Goodreads account specifically to leave a review for this book. I'm newer to the monster genre, although Andrik is more like a big fluffy teddy bear than a monster. (When it comes to Lumi) I have tried a few books with shifters before and found them too dark for me, but this was like a mosh of Monster + Tender, and it hit the exact sweet spot for me. I couldn't put it down and the twists and turns of how things were connected honestly kept me so engaged I finished the book in a single day. If you're looking for something that's both spicy and sweet, but also pulls on your heart strings, I'd recommend reading.

I saw a post about this book early this morning in one of the book groups I'm in and I absolutely devoured it. I loved the language Andrik used and the contemporary setting mixed with magical otherworldly aspects. It was the perfect balance for me. I also loved the twist at the end of the book that answered all the questions I was asking myself throughout the book. I can't wait to see what's next for this author.

One of my favorite reads ever! I absolutely loved Andrik and Lumi. (And Bimby) I gave my husband some serious side eye after reading the declarations of love that Andrik made throughout the book. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

If you long to read a book where you feel like you're in someone's diary. THIS. IS. THE. BOOK! I felt like I was switching between the three main characters so intimately that I was inside their minds. My favorite reads so far of 2026. Cannot wait for the next two!

This book is my Roman Empire. I loved every second of it. Even moments I shouldn't have. Ifyky. I can't wait to read the next book!

I am down bad for Andrik 🔥 The way he talks to Lumi is incredibly attractive. (During both normal & spicy time) This book has all the yearning you could ever ask for.
