Delilah and Colt

HOT DAD ENERGY is a short and steamy, OTT, one-night to more, unplanned pregnancy, girl gets her hunk Christmas romance.  This was another fun and steamy read from Kate. Delilah is a sassy, independent girl who doesn't do feelings or attachments. Colt is a hunky, tattooed bartender who also does security.  He has had feelings for Delilah for some time. They have a hot one-night stand and she ends up pregnant. Colt is excited, Delilah thinks it's only because of the baby, but Colt is all in. OMG, I am in love with Colt. He was so attentive to ALL her needs.  Their chemistry was insane and the ending was so happy once Delilah came to her senses.

This was an interesting story about a one night stand in a small town that ended with a broken condom and a pregnancy.

Colt and Delilah had a one night stand. Best. Night. Ever. Right up until those two pink lines changed everything.

Their one night stand has them linked for life now, which is just fine by Colt who want nothing more than to be Delilah’s everything. But our sassy girl is fiercely independent and doesn’t think that Colt is the forever kind so she keeps him at arms length.

When his inner caveman comes out and her pregnancy hormones go rampant they crash together in more than just the physical sense. But Delilah can’t shake the feeling this isn’t going to last and she doesn’t want to get hurt. Colt has to prove himself and boy oh boy does he.

Colt is the definition of what every preggo woman wants, attentive, thoughtful, helpful, loving, nurturing and prepared.

I liked this story a lot. I love a small town romance and this was that with a twist. I can see a whole series based on this book with a story about each of the supporting characters. I love the small town vibe and the community that comes together to help these two along their journey.

I am loving Colt. - Colt and Delilah are living "What to Expect..." and he is loving it. He'd love it even more if the woman of his heart would stop being so stubborn and give him a chance. He is such a great guy, being there for Del more than most husbands are known to be. Worshipping her in and out of the boudoir. Delilah is so scared that he'll leave that she tamps down her feelings, tries to push him away. Flirts with other guys right in front of him even. But she dreams of Colt at night, her deepest desires fulfilled by her one-night stand.

This is a great short story, the characters relatable and loveable. The author's way with words is stellar, making me giggle a time or two. I like that this book starts after the baby-making is complete. Readers experience the MCs as they walk together through the pregnancy, even if one person is determined to keep them apart. She failed of course, allowing herself the HEA she thought she couldn't have.

This is a very quick read with low conflict. The main crux of the story is Colt has loved Delilah for quite some time. They now find themselves expecting and Delilah believes Colt to be hanging around only for the baby. Colt just needs to convince her he's always wanted her and the baby is just a special surprise that he had hoped was an eventuality.

Colt is an adorable mother hen who takes care of Delilah despite all her protestations. It's a fun little read that is mainly just fluff and little plot or conflict.

Another thoroughly enjoyable book by this author. :) In this tale we have Delilah, who after a one-night stand, finds herself pregnant. She's determined to follow through on her own. A very Independant young woman. Reminded me of myself. :D The father to be is Colt and despite her reluctance, he's just as determined to be a father and a responsible partner.

When an unplanned pregnancy happens, what is better than a cinnamon roll stud? When baby daddy is attentive, thoughtful, spicy, and willing to help the sexual needs the preggo brain brings, what could possibly be better? This book was 96 pages of swoon, spice, and all things nice. If you have an hour or two and want to read a story, this is the one you should pick up!

If you haven't put this book into your kindle, you should because it's a fantastic romance book by Kate. I found that the storyline and characters were wonderful to read about and this makes me ready for the holiday season just looking at the cover. This is a perfect holiday romance read that is five-stars.

After a mind blowing blowing one night stand Delilah finds herself pregnant. Colt wants to be there for her and the baby, but Delilah is very independent. So he needs to prove himself to her. This was a really fun romance. I really enjoyed it and think you will too.

Right out of the gate I felt like I was missing something much. After going back and looking on Amazon and found this is book three in the series, so will have to go back and see what I missed.
