I tried to like it but

The Virgin Trope drew me in but I was really disappointed by the MMC. He bought he knew she was a virgin and he knew that she didn't want to be there that her dad forced her into it. He took her virginity and didn't even feel guilty The sex scenes were ridiculous forced virgins don't act the way she did. He was supposed to be an experienced Mafia man if you knew she was a virgin you think he would wore a condom but no. I think the 5-year timeline was a bit of a stretch. The dialogue was unrealistic for a Mafia book. I've read a lot of mafia books and I never read one where the leader said will you be my girlfriend, seriously I had to laugh at that. This is a quote from a five-year-old child when she told her son that the MMC was his dad. Quote from a five-year-old I already knew Mommy I could sense it because you're different with him than anyone else I love his smell and I feel safe when he holds me like I've always known him LOL couldn't get into this book scroll to the end and I will not be reading the next one. Such lost potential could have been so good.

Long winded at times, sweet the rest of the time

Celia and Kirill, a rather complicated story that starts with an auction, then a baby and a struggling single mum (Celia).
She gets a job in his firm, she’s fired then not fired, he becomes protective and at the same time a tad unpleasant.
Their journey continues, with bad guys, friendships and love. HEA

celia is a 20 yr old virgin who hasn't even been kissed. her father is in big debt to the mafia and offers up her and her virginity to be sold at auction to pay his debt. celia is shocked her father could be so cruel but facing both their deaths has no choice. kirill is a much older mafia boss in town for business who happens to be at the bar the night of the auction and sees the men bidding on her and hears their intentions so he outbids them and takes her to his hotel. there he introduces her to intimacy and the next morning offers her a place as his mistress which she immediately declines. he's astonished but lets her go. she returns to her father who cruelly wants any money she got from the man who bought her which she hides. after taking the small bill she left out he goes to gamble some more and she runs to a new city to start a new life. soon after she finds herself pregnant. 5 yrs go by and she and her child are near being homeless. so applies for a job and gets it only to find kirill the boss and ceo her first day. he's been searching for her everywhere unable to forget her and fires her after she again declines to be his mistress. this angers him. celia then finds herself in such financial trouble she goes back and takes him up on his offer but he's angry so doesn't make it easy for her. he offers to give her the job back if she satisfies him. she'll do anything for her child so she humiliates herself for the job. soon after kirill discovers she's a mother and realizes she is doing this to care for her child. he starts spending time with them while celia hides the fact the child is his lying about their age. events happen, there is a scare with the child and celia blurts out its his child which changes everything. having a child puts them and celia at risk because of his mafia life and there is a traitor close at hand sneaking in the shadows. her cruel abusive father finds her again demands money and attacks her. they are not as safe as kirill thinks and he must risk everything to save the woman and child he has come to love desperately. the family he never wanted nor thought he would ever have or deserve. and someone may not survive whats coming.
great dynamics between main characters, richly detailed, great world building and exciting plot twists. lots of spice.

One thing for sure is that there is never a dull moment in this story. Celia's life was turned upside down when her father bargained her for his gambling debt. It led her to Kirill a bratva boss who after one intimate encounter couldn't get her out of his mind. Thanks to a false name he couldn't find her until she showed up at his company, and it started their path. This sizzling story is filled with action-packed twists and turns that had me all caught up in them and cheering them on to getting their chance for happiness.

Uno dei mie primi libri Mafia Romance, la parte della Mafia mi è piaciuta ma la parte Spicy per troppo esagerata (ma questa penso che vari da persona a persona), abbastanza veloce, letto in meno di due ore, questo libro mi è bastato, non continuerò la serie anche se questo primo libro mi è piaciuto (prende solo 3 stelle e mezzo per via dello spicy, i troppi capitoli (secondo me anche ripetuti) hanno fatto abbassare la sua valutazione)
il finale? si mi è piaciuto anche se io l'avrei fatto finire in una maniera diversa o avrei aggiunto dei capitoli su due personaggi nello specifico

Celia and Kirill

This book had me hooked from the very beginning.

Celia was forced to sell her virginity at an auction, and Kirill ended up being the highest bidder. He outbid everyone else the moment he saw her on stage, instantly knowing she needed saving. After one unforgettable night, Celia walked away—but she didn’t leave alone.

This story kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s absolutely worth the read.

Mafia boss falls hard

The way they met is a tad icky but in the end it's an HEA.
Family trauma betrayal leads to a one night stand, he cannot forget her though he tries, then she ends up working for him.
Battle of wills turns to deep love, mafia business, war, betrayal end with an HEA.
Plenty of sex 3/5spice nothing kinky. Update five years later.
Only thing left in the air is will Mia and Viktor fall in love too...I think so.
Well balanced not too heavy with mafia wars, Romance and family win.

I don't know how a person is supposed to go to sleep once they start reading this romance story a few hours before bedtime. The secrets, surprises and romance alone will have you staying up way past your bedtime and finishing this book. A.J. has really done one heck of a job writing the characters in this book that you must read to see for yourself why it's AWESOME.

OMG, what a story! A powerful beginning, and we're drawn into the lives of Kirill and Celia. The storyline and writing style keep you hooked from the start, and I had a hard time putting the book down. There's drama, action, suspense, and plenty of steamy, spicy scenes between them.

Wonderful Love Story!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story, really loved the storyline and the characters. I did not like how her father sold her and then she was auctioned off, but I am glad that he bought her and saved her. After everything I was glad they got their happy ever after!

Bratva Mistress

Celia is forced to auction off her virginity to pay her father's debts but she didn't expect to catch the eye of the Bratva boss Kirill. It was an entertaining and exciting read that I could not put down. This was a well written story, worth the read.

The MFC is no pushover

I’m not fond of the main characters being injured almost fatally, also the inner monologue is a bit wordy. I prefer a story that moves and characters that are more self aware.

Had some inconsistencies and there was no rhyme or reason to how the timeline progressed. One minute they are just meeting again then turn the page and they’ve been back together for a month already with no indication of a timeline jump. Definitely took away from the story.

Good Brat a story

Krille and Celia met in an odd way but kept falling for each other. Lucas was such a sweet boy and Krille knew it was his son. Lots of action and romance. Good story.

I like the characters but transitions from one scene to another were often lacking, which resulted in feeling like I was coming into the middle of a conversation and missed something. Also, some of the lines were a bit cheesy and lacked emotional depth.

It was weird how the father just found her … Truly unbelievable! Lucas was a sweetheart 🥰🥰 Krill and Celia made a cute couple but it was an off chance that they met again! Sonia was a terror and what 5 year old can lift a 20lbs turkey?

Probably won’t keep trading. Didn’t care for the writing much. There want a lot of buildup. For example there were a few paragraphs about a business trip coming up and then suddenly they were on the plane for it.

TOO…MUCH…SEX

I’ve only made it 40% through this book and there has been about 10 sex scenes. There’s not even any chemistry between the characters. I really liked the premise of the story. But I just can’t read it.
