What a fabulous book! I wish I could turn back time and start it all over again with no preconceived notions of what to expect or knowledge of the story. That would be joy personified.
The descriptions of everything Piet experienced as he traveled were so descriptive I felt I was there right along with him.
When Piet passes away the author wrote this. “Her touch was tender, a silent communication of love and comfort, a gesture so familiar, yet so final. When Piet’s breaths finally ceased, the silence that enveloped the room was profound, marking the end of an era in her life”.
I hope this author decides to write another book.
